I have come across this group on Facebook, Mini Pinscher Owners.  There are other Miniature Pinscher groups on Facebook - might be worth a look at the photographs.  Longshot, but might be worth a try. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=8922935131&ref=mf  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I wonder if Jennie has thought about taking her poster to Crufts?    She could go to the Min Pin stand in the Discover Dogs section and ask them to pin up/hand out her poster.    http://www.crufts.org.uk/index.htmlLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dear all,
I just wanted to update you on my little missing minxy?
PLEASE FIND ATTACHED A POSTER OF MINX IF YOU CANT OPEN IT PLEASE EMAIL ME AND I WILL SEND YOU ONE
As you probably know?.
ON BOXING DAY MINE AND MY FAMILYS BELOVED DOGS WERE STOLEN FROM OUR HOME IN WOODFORD GREEN ESSEX
THEY BROKE THROUGH THE BACK DOOR AND TOOK THEM FROM THERE BEDS WE WERE ONLY OUT FOR A FEW HOURS...
we managed to get our boy back... he was dumped in Debden 5 miles away from our home he was badly hurt with cigarette burns and cuts all over him...and the vet said that he hadn?t been fed for a couple of days?.we now find it so hard to leave him on his own not only because he is scared and cry?s but we are so worried that they will come back and take him again.
they were split up and we haven?t got her back yet
We have had so many calls and emails from people offering there help and I just wanted to thank you all on behalf of me and my family we wouldn?t be as strong and hopeful that we are going to her back if it wasn?t for all your help.
We have had a couple of leads?
1 from a lady called Hayley that lives in the Harlow area? she walks for little one to nursery on Thursdays and seen our add on gumtree she said there is a lady who walks her child to the same nursery and has a very small black and tan dog? hayley said she?s only seen her with the dog for the past 3 weeks
The other lead was a possible sighting in January but the lady couldn?t remember the date or time she only remembered the dog as she has a Chihuahua that is black and tan but she said that this dog she see was much thinner and had longer legs she described minx to the tee
we have put it on facebook, myspace, dogs lost, alfieslostdogs, national dog association, kiss100 capital fm, radio 1, LBC radio station, tv shows and news: London tonight, Trisha show channel 5 and all the local news papers, sent posters to all the vets in the up, pdsa, rspce and Battersea dogs
All im asking is for some more help I need you to pass this poster on and the information to everyone you may no and ask them to do the same
All I want is my little baby home with her brother she has never been without him and probably scared so please please help me and my family get her home.
BREED MINIAURE PINSCHER
COLOUR:BLACK/TAN

Passed contact details of found NPR one on to Aunt Stef who will follow up/pass to Millie's owner. The breed of the found one has not been confirmed - Jennie, do you know from speaking to the lady? Hopefully we will get the lady to also list dog as found with us and get full details and a photo.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It's great that the publicity is  amassing though when I read the article I do  think it might be a slight misnomer for Dogstrust and Doglost to be classed as Animal Rights campaigners -I would have to say they are more leanings to "Animal Welfare".   But if it gets Minxie back then is justification in itself.  However, that apart, I have sent this to other people so that they are looking out too. Keep safe Minxie xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Small black dog listed as found on NPR - Jennie I have emailed you details. Details of the found listing very limited, just small smooth haired black dog - not sure if male/female. Says similar to a Dachshund which I know Minx isn't but some people do use strange descriptions when unsure of breed - certainly no harm in checking it out just incase! Found in Surrey.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

My Pleasure! Was surprised at how long they gave to us. Time to get all the important points accross to the listeners about what Minx looks like, her size and the fact she is tattooed where the dogs went from, where Enzo was found and also the possible sighting in Edmonton this morning with a hoodie. This publicity has got to lead to Minxie soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Right, it's me again. Have just spoken to my friend (have known each other for well over 40 years!). Coincidentally, she was just off to collect her lovely old dad and take him into The Gunmakers Arms (also known locally as 'The Gun') for a New Year's drink! She is more than happy to spread the word and ask around. Like me, she is quite appalled that something like this has happened on 'our patch'. She also indicated she is happy to distribute a few posters, especially if you can get some to her (she may be able to print off some of her own but not sure as we didn't speak for long as she was due to pick up her dad). The name of the pub in Borders Lane is The Golden Lion. AND, the other one that she said to target, cos it's very popular, is The Plume of Feathers (junction of Rectory Lane and Church Hill) heading towards Loughton High Road.

Just remembered, there's another nearby pub along Borders Lane (heading towards Loughton). I think it's called the Red Lion or something like that anyway (you can tell how I spent my youth!). Also, meant to ask how Enzo is doing - hope he's recovering from his awful ordeal.

Jennie, thanks for the update! I'm so sorry to hear what happened to Enzo and I do hope that all the extra coverage will help to make Minx the hottest and best-known girl in town. I know the Debden area well and still have a very good friend living there who's a real dog lover! I will make sure that she knows about Enzo. Like me, she was born in Debden and still lives there and so knows many, many people. Have you covered all locals pubs? The ones on the Estate that spring to mind are: The Sir Winston Churchill (Debden Broadway), The Cottage Loaf (Jessel Drive), The Gunmaker Arms (Chester Road), The Clydesdale (I think, that's its name - having a senior moment!) near Etheridge Road. These pubs are really only frequented by local people who would have tons of local knowledge and so these pubs are really important places to cover. Make sure you visit them at lunchtime or early evening when they tend to be less busy and ask the manager if he/she would display Enzo's poster. Also hand out mini flyers to all regulars/customers. That way when someone hears of someone who has acquired a new small black and tan dog they will have your contact details to hand, rather than have to return to a poster. If you need to know details of the pubs or need to ask me anything, post a message on Minx's page and I will do my best to answer. Wishing you all the luck in the world!

Thanks for the update Jennie, you are all doing so well getting the great publicity for Minx.......she certainly will be too hot to handle and hopefully will be home very soon. Great to hear the Debden area has been postered too now. How is Enzo doing? A few other ideas if not already covered - hand out posters to the local postman, and even go down to the sorting office and ask them to take some and spread the word. The posties obviously cover a large area. Binmen, milkmen too. Also, see if cab firms will take posters, takeaways, bookies, drive thru fast food places etc. Also, you could print some larger posters e.g. A3 size and mount them on mdf wood(ideally laminate the paper first to protect) and then stake in the ground at main junctions - roundabouts, traffic lights etc - to get you some more coverage and target those driving into/through the area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Great to hear the owner has had good local paper coverage and even better that the local news want to run something - hopefully this will help get little Enzo and Minx home. Fingers crossed. The owners are doing a great job, well done, hopefully you will get your 2 babies home very soon. Also, if not already done, try local radio too. As Sherlock Bones mentioned, was there any out of the ordinary interest in these 2 before they were taken? Hopefully the Police are investigating this crime and making good progress that will be helped along by the public appeals for info ultimately resulting in Enzo and Minx being back home where they belong. Have the tattoo company being alerted to the fact these 2 have been stolen? Also, worth postering all local stations. Good Luck!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner, sorry to see Enzo and Minxie are missing.  Thanks for adding their details, we will do all we can to help you in your search.   Great you have emailed a photo of them to Admin (I've reloaded to bring them closer).  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible and make them TOO HOT TO HANDLE.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be registered and logged in). You must get a CRIME NUMBER from the Police. Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.    Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope they are found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
