Sixa is at Rainbow Bridge. The dog warden contacted his owners this morning and they have just rung me. He had been out all this time in such awfuk weather. He and another dog, a bitch, were found dead on a busy dual carriageway not far from where he lived. I assume the dog warden scanned him as the owners said there was no doubt it was Sixa. I do no tknow what breed the bitch he was with was  and there are no other local missing dogs that I know of. Run free Sixa and his "girlfriend" . So sorry you were not found sooner.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sadly Sixa's body has been found today - Rest in peace beautiful Boy email from owners friend I have just had a phone call from his owners with the saddest of news. Sixa, and another dog, a bitch, were found dead today on a busy dual carriageway not far from where he lived. The dog warden rang them and he had no doubt it was Sixa, I assume he scanned him. He had been out all this time, in such awful weather, living rough. Despite lots of people looking for him and lots of posters around nobody had seen him.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Mizzy but Sixa was wearing a blue collar and he is 7 and a half. the one on the site you say was young and wearing  a red collar. I fear the worst now for this dog as he is still missing.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Annabel I have told the owners to ring Paws within and Macabees but I cant find a number for Noahs Ark. I think they have spoken to Ken the dog warden, but thanks for leaving a message for him, the mmore reminders the better. Sixa seems to have vanished into thin air, no sightings at all. I am worried something may have happened to him or he may have got shut in somewhere.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry for the delay in replying (manic here at the mo.) I think that area is west oxford. Try Paws with in at chipping Norton, also Noah's Ark in Oxford, and Macabees. All these take strays and out of hours strays. The dog warden for your area is Ken Williams, I have just left him a message for some more info on their out of hours. Hello there, he was lost in Headington/Oxford. I did try the out of hours service number on internet but she didnt seem too sure where he may have been taken if he did get picked up. Would he go to Crowthorne or Northants? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

A male black Lab was found in Chesham Bucks on Boxing day. Probably not him unless someone had picked him up in a vehicle but may be worth following up   http://www.lostyourpet.net/RegionResultList.aspx?typeid=3&genderid=&colourid=&ageid=&town=&countryid=1 Contact with finder by email on siteLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Labrador Lil, sorry to see Sixa is missing.  Thanks for adding his details, we will do all we can to help you in your search.   Great you have uploaded a photo.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in). Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.   Great he is CHIPPED ensure you contact the Chip Co and report him missing and that your details are up to date. Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope he is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Circumstances:   Sixa is an entire male who escaped out of the front door at approx 1.30pm on Christmas Day. It is thought he has gone after the scent of a local bitch in season.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
