The dog is still with me.  Has been ok while I've been out at work for the odd day this week.  Have contacted the local animal rescue people and they are being very helpful, she is logged on their site.  Feel very responsible for her to do the right thing.  May have to rehome her soon, just a matter of finding the right people.  Think she is a working dog.  Am going to be involved every step of the way for peace of mind! Doing all I can but it's hard work at the moment.  My male dog is just a bit too amorous sometimes even though he's neutered - I get a bit exasperated. Still continuing to do all I can for her as always.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Laurs you are an absolute gem for looking after this lovely girl xx You said you checked with Gloucester people. Have you checked against Lottie -  just wondered ( my geography is c..p) ;-).  Know Jackie describes Lottie as having an odd shaped head though as if one side slightly flat/indented. I'm checking against other sites too to see if any missing ones that  match also  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have contacted all local vets and rescues to pass on details.  Local paper putting found notice in on Monday and hopefully posting on their missing pets website.  Distributing found posters to as many shops etc as I can and enquiring with everyone I meet.  Still no joy.  Little girl has made herself right at home and won't want to leave soon!  Will keep on searching.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well done Laurs for helping this lovely girl ! Such a shame she was not chipped ! Hopefully someone will come forward for her soon. I have had a look on as many other sites as I can think of but cant see anyone has registered her as lost yet. It may be a good idea to contact local vets on Saturday if they are open. Knowing most places would be closed over the Xmas holiday her owners may well try them on Saturday. Will continue to keep a look out for anyone posting her as lost.xx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Laurs for the update and replying to the text last night, thought she was a full Lab and possibly a working strain. Fingers crossed her owners are found soon.  Well done for what you are doing for her.  'THANK YOU' to the local Boxer Rescue lady for checking if she is chipped.   Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have contacted as many local rescues and doggie people with helpful contacts today.  Found posters going up everywhere.  Think the dog may be a full Labrador Retriever just the shorter legged variety, possibly working strain?  No joy of anyone missing her yet.  Must find somewhere for her to go before Monday 29th as go back to work full time.  She is so friendly and glued to my side!  Getting on ok with my other male rescue dog. Local Boxer Rescue lady has kindly scanned her for microchip but unfortunately no joy.  Any help gratefully received. 'THANK YOU' Laurs for registering and putting this lovely girl's details on DL and especially uploading photos, this will really help if her owners or anyone looking for her check DL.  Please keep us updated on where she is and once the Bank Holiday period is over if her owners have not been found you will be able to contact the right authorities (if you have been unable to contact the out of hours DW) and vets (they will check for a CHIP). Well done for looking after her especially with it being Christmas.  You can leave an update by selecting  Add a comment just above other comments.  Good luck and fingers crossed her owners are found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
