volcano thankyou again for posting on this page , I know how busy you are, the work you did to help tigger was incredible ( what the poor little mite went through brought tears to my eyes ) its so sad this lady saw puzzle in a cage and they had lily as well and the police came too late, she was so close i;ve also been thinking about these two constantly, the third dog left in the car was injured and traumatised, when hopefully they are found again if they have been chipped to new people its just identity, I read on another site of a stolen dog being located by rightful owners they called police and cos the people who then had dog had it chipped themselves the police wouldn't help , the poor owner probably didn't realise it only meant identity and the police couldn't be bothered to find out, any sort of vet records photo's where your dog was puchased from is proof you are true owner. I hope your romany friends can help this lady and family she has been through so much. thankyou .Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Glad to see you back on site Laura. I still drive around the area looking out for Puzzle whenever I go into Bridgnorth, but haven't seen anything yet. Been busy with work on the run-up to Christmas but might go and put some more of my leaflets through doors around there in the new year to get a closer look again. Hope 2006 brings lots of the long-lost dogs home. ChrisLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Laura, just got back. Don't have anything to report though I'm afraid. I drove around the estate looking for any other matches and clues for Blackfriars and the curling/cummings/copestone connection. Drove very slowly past the house with the green doors looking for any sign of dogs but nothing. There was a car in the drive today so thought if it was the right house I might see some sign of Puzzle but nothing. I've got my business name on the car so I hope no-one reports me for kerb-crawing lol. Also went for a ride round the lanes where the stables are but didn't see anything there either. I've got a thing about leaded windows now and look at every one I see hoping she's looking out. Wish John could just get us a bit closer. I think you ought to put the other photo on the poster. As Puzzles body is white, the face is the part that will be recognised. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If she's in Aussie Laura, I don't mind going to look there!!! Kizzy, I've got a street map of the whole of Shropshire which doesn't list a Blackfriars anything, but just looked in a Shropshire town centre street map and there are 2 listed. The one as you say is Blackfriars in Oswestry and the other is Blackfriars Crescent in Shrewsbury town centre. Now we'll have to find out if there is a Beaconsfield connection near either of those, which I haven't found yet. The communicator thinks we've already hit the spot but everything is worth looking into. Chris Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Brother-in-law hasn't come back yet. Mind you, my sister & hubby only ring me when THEY want something. Couldn't get hold of my customer with horses either. I'll try again at the weekend. I've looked on loads of racing/horse related sites and can't find anything about Blackfriars or the stud and trainer you mentioned Laura. I did look at the windows and garden of the house in Beaconsfield when I was there yesterday but no dogs in sight. Hope you hear from Shropshire Star/Bridgnorth Journal. Laura, I was in gloucester a couple of sundays ago and was walking aimlessly along when a sign blackfriars caught my eye and I immediately thought of your clues for lily and puzzle. The name blackfriars seems to pop up seemingly at random in all sorts of places so maybe there is just a little sign or some small reference to blackfriars that puzzle is 'seeing'. Sorry this is no help at all it's just my mind whirring and clicking aimlessly. Thinking of you and following everything. Best wishes. Dolly 6.2.05Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Perhaps you could change her name to Solved WHEN she gets home. I've searched all over the place for Blackfriars but other than the Oxford link, everything else seems to be in London. It was just what Ann said about the Broad Acres Stables (with Blackfriars). I suppose it could be the name of a horse. ChrisLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

never have worked out the blackfriars bit, tried everthing on net but only thing that keeps coming up is oxford uni there is a blackriars college there.if you have arthrites you should ride it will keep you mobile,i teach disabled riding and it certainly helps them.i wish to god now that i had called puzzle homebird!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Laura, Shropshire is a very rural county (I believe the only county without a city) so horse riding goes on everywhere. The reason we went for Broad Oaks was the connection with Blackfriars. Did you or Ann ever suss out what that meant? I assume not. Have you ever thought about why Puzzle is so called??? You must have had a premonition. It's certainly puzzling us at the moment. I don't ride but I'll try to find someone who does who could go there for a 'session'. I always wanted to ride but I don't think I'd have the courage now as I have arthritis and would be terrified of falling off. It's funny how writing things down remind you of other things. I've just realised one of my customers lives not too far from there (just over the border in Staffs) and also has horses. I'll give her a ring tonight to see if she knows anyone around there or what the Blackfriars is. ChrisLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

great minds think alike,i have thought maybe puzz goes to a stables,if they own a horse they would have to go everyday.i have though already sent posters to that stables in quatt.are there any others round there.the prob is a lot of farms etc do livery for horses but it is only word of mouth that you find out as not all advertise.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Laura, When we first talked about Broad Acres Stables, I said I wondered if it was the same place as Broad Lanes Farm which is definitely on a 90 degree bend. I didn't actually find it when I went over there, unless it didn't have a name sign, but I couldn't get round all the lanes as there were diversion signs. I think it would be a good idea to send a poster there. The address is: Broad Lanes Farm, Broad Lanes, Quatt, Bridgnorth, Shropshire (sorry, don't have the postcode). The area is very rural so I would think everyone knows everyone else around there. You could also send one to the PO sorting office at Ludlow just in case that is the Beaconsfield. I do wonder though if Puzzle is with someone in or near Beaconsfield in Bridgnorth who maybe rides or has connections with the Broad Acres stables, as that would tie in the Blackfriars bit. Wonder where the Cummings, Curling or Copestone comes in though. I wonder (I'm doing a lot of that aren't I) if I could find that on the electoral register at the library. I've got this under my skin now so I can't stop 'til we've exhausted all avenues. Got to go to bed now though. Good night. Chris Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I found the Beaconsfield Holiday Park late last night as well. Can't find anything else to do with Beaconsfield in the area though. I think probably if the Bridgnorth Journal do a piece, it might go in the Shropshire Star as well. If they ring you Laura, ask them about that. Apparently they belong to the same group. When I talked to them about my ad, they said if it wasn't a box type ad it would appear in both. ChrisLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Laura, how did I know you were going to ask that? My problem is, I get there eventually but can 't always remember how. Think I could have been born too soon. I think I just put Burston, Norfolk into the Wanadoo search, UK only. Went onto a lot of sites before I got to anything really useful. Burston is in Diss so it could have been Diss, Norfolk I found it on. I tried so many things, my history list is about 3 miles long. I'll go through the historic sites on my list and see what comes up. Also had a look on Loot today as a few litters of pups and pregnant bitches have been stolen. There were a number of Shih Tzu litters. I've made a note of the phone nos if you want them, but how would you know the ones to check out? ChrisLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Laura, You could start off sending out to vets and groomers in Burston, Norfolk and Burston, Staffs and see what happens. Burston in Staffs is not far from Stoke-on-Trent and I know there are several groomers there. I actually trained with one of them but I'm not sure where I put her phone no. If I can find it I'll give her a ring. Just had another thought actually. I'm on a groomers' email list so I could ask if any of those groomers are in those areas and if so to keep their eyes open. I'll direct them to doglost. Whoever has Lily might do the grooming themselves, but they might use a groomer. Chris Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just found a Blackfriars School in North Staffs, not too many miles from Burston. It's based in Bucknell and is for special needs children. People have to travel to special needs schools as there aren't that many. I know the communicator connected this with Puzzle but maybe she's comminicating for Lily as well. Could that be possible? He talked about a school for Lily didn't he? My brains going all over the place!! ChrisLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Ann, I've just had a thought about what the communicator said about Lily. I know he said she could be in the lake district but I wonder whether that was because of the expanse of water. The Norfolk Broads would tie in with that. ChrisLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi all, went to have a look at Ludlow today!! Beaconsfield Park is another small cul-de-sac, similar location to Bridgnorth, next to open land. Only about a dozen or so detatched properties. A couple have leaded windows but I couldn't see the door of one as it was at the end of a private drive. The other one definitely hadn't got a green door and the garage door (up-and-over) was open so I couldn't see the colour. Driving down the lanes nearby there were 'traffic' signs to take care due to horses using the lanes. Flippin' road works all over the place again so had to avoid some areas. In the town there is an old stone bridge and further on, a road called Friary rd/st or something. No sign of anything to do with blackfriars. Hope the communicator can come up with a few more clues so we can narrow it down a bit more. Anyone heard from papers/stables etc? ChrisLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've already got 2 largish collie crosses & a cocker foster plus 3 cats. I could have brought a dozen home. There were some real darlings there. I'll probably be over Ludlow way soon so I'll try to have a look round when I am. Unless there is more of a lead, in which case let me know and I'll try to find some time to go. Hi all, I've been round Hilbrae and Dogs Trust rescue centres at Telford. Had a look round both but no sign of Puzzle or Lily. I've left posters at both and both were very helpful. Apparently, the owner of Hilbrae has Shih Tzus so they will keep their eyes open. Also went to have a look a Beaconsfield at Brookside, Telford and I think we can discount that one. It is part of a huge council estate and the properties there are flats and small terraced houses. Nothing fits at all, and certainly not as far as leaded windows and wide drives are concerned. There were sooo many dogs at Dogs Trust. I spent about an hour there (didn't bring any home) as I had to have a chat with them all!!! I'm going to have a look at some of the missing dogs on here to see if I recognise any. There weren't any yorkies or cavies at either - so sorry alfie's and bobby's mums. I have a list now that I just print off, it costs about ?50.00 every time I do this, but by god I do this and I couldn,t give a damm if people think that I am mad. Hi Laura, I'll try to get names of other rescues in Shropshire. This area is very strange as far as directories are concerned. Bridgnorth is in the Wolverhampton (Staffs) directory instead of Shropshire for some strange reason, so I haven't got one that covers Shropshire. I'll try to get to the library tomorrow to look at other directories. Went to take posters into vets in Bridgnorth today and the receptionist went away and came back with the postcard with the 6 dogs on. Did you send them to all the vets in Shropshire? As I said before, I'm in Telford tomorrow to do some grooming, so if I can find out where Hillbrae rescue is I'll go and have a look round and take a poster. I'll also look to see where the dogs trust is and come back that way. If I've got enough time I'll have a look round there as well. (Hope I don't come back with any more - I won't be able to move). Is there anywhere on this site I can print off combined picture of a number of the lost dogs on 1 page? I could see if there are any more missing babies while I'm there. Chris. ps feel free to ring me if you want.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Ann, I'll have a look in the phone book but I doubt they're all in there. Some boarding kennels take in the odd one or two. Hey, that's a thought. What about sending posters to all the boarding kennels (it's probably been done - if so excuse me being a bit slow!! ) in Shropshire - and Staffordshire in case that's where Lily is (Staffs not the boarding kennels). They may have been boarded or even re-homed through one of them. Just looked in the Shropshire Star.n There is Hilbrae rescue kennels at Telford 01952 541254. I'll go and look in the yellow pages (my living room is covered in maps and phone books - oh, and dog & cat hair of course lol) and I'll let you know any others. ChrisLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

right, posters gone off to beaconfield roads in shropshire. Any news from the papers? did you see Max the staffy is home - daisy had a story in the evening standard which bought him home. Which led me to thinking - we had better be checking regularly with shropshire dogs homes - chris any idea what these are? Because the pressure (story in paper two weeks ago) and posters may lead to puzzle being handed in somewhere - but he's not chipped. So we really need a list of ALL dog rescue in Shropshire to check daily. Laura - do you have these? We have GOT to keep this pressure up! any more ideas gratefully recieved!! yes i know about dna testing we do it with the horses for registration and i would love it if they made it compuslary for dogs.you now have to have a passport with full id for horses or face a ?5000 fine.we should do the same for dogs.i know people would moan about making it more exspensive, but at least it would stop buying on a whim without any real thought or preperation.i run horseowners courses for new owners why not dog owner courses?any animal is a commitment for several years and needs the best care possible not to be discarded when novelty wears thin.sorry dont mean to rant, but get fed up of seeing all these ads and stories of abandoned dogs Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'd love to meet them too. In fact I'd love to be there with the camera to record the re-union. Don't know whether you're aware, you can get dna kits now for pets. If the dna details plus photo and other info were to be put on a central database, how easy it would be to find your lost pet. If licencing was re-introduced and all breeders had to register their pups along with dna details etc - I suppose this is fantasy. If the government re-introduced licencing, what would be the chances of the money being spent on the welfare of the dogs? ChrisLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'd like to meet them too Laura! Doggroomer, this central database you are talking about to match up lost dogs is something we want to make it possible for all organisations to collaborate on, it will make it so much easier to have a countrywide database as we all know dogs 'travel' a long way from home. If someone was willing to put together the programme needed it would be well on the way to happening. Come on Lily and Puzzle come home. xx Dolly 6.2.05Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I suppose the library would have telephone directories and maps etc. I could go in there while I'm in Bridgnorth on Thursday. That's why I suggested to Laura putting something in Express & Star, thinking of Burston in Staffs. Wouldn't it be wonderful if there could be a site which matched up lost & found dogs like they match fingerprints. Might have a word with my niece's husband. With Puzzle, could find all the info in a couple of places. Need more from communicator really. Just got Lake District - J Atkins (janet/Janice) - Burston Park. Can't find anything for Burston Park in LD, but did find Burston In Staffordshire, which to me makes more sense in relation to puzzle's location. Any ideas? Just making a list of all shih tzu resues/breeders in both areas - won't hurt for them to have a poster I s'pose. Also a Burston In Norfolk. And found a Janice Atkins in Diss, Norfolk who has dogs on Friends Reunited! Long shot, I know - but never say never!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Good thinking Ann. Could it be that someone is trying to make the decision they know in their heart is the right one? Must admit I would be devastated if I found out that my Sollie (rescued 3 months ago - rescue took from pound on put-to-sleep day) had another owner somewhere. I guess I would have to give him back if they loved him as much as I do, even though it would be heartbreaking. ChrisLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Laura, Another local paper you could try is the Ludlow Advertiser. News 01584 873796, Ads 01584 872183. Ann, there were none of those names in Bridgnorth directory or street names or places in the Shropshire street map so maybe the Telford Beaconsfield is the one. Chris Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What about the Express and Star? That's also sold widely in the South and East of Shropshire and also covers Staffordshire. That may give us a chance for Lily too. If the person who has Puzzle finds that she is someone's beloved pet but has grown to love her too, she will be torn between doing the right thing and keeping the dog that has become one of her family. So it would probably take a while to make the decision -and the call you (and the rest of us here) are waiting for. In the meantime, I'll have a look at the possibilities in Beaconfield Rd in the Ludlow area. Keep optimistic. Chris Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Ann, they wouldn't deliver free papers to where I live, it's a bit rural. There is a local paper which I've seen in newsagents 13 miles away. There is also the Shropshire Star which has a very large curculation area - in fact all of Shropshire come to think of it. That could be even better in case we've got the wrong Beaconsfield. The phone no is 01952 244244 or can be booked online at www.shropshirestar.com/classifieds. I don't know whether this type of ad qualifies as a free ad as they only specify goods for sale under ?200. Certainly worth a try I would think. ChrisLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Ann, Most of what he said was there. The house in Beaconsfield has a double garage with green doors - so yes, wide drive. Also, by the side of the drive is a driveway leading to more houses making it look even wider. The Blackfriars part is a puzzle (no pun intended) although The Friars i've now found out is a pub almost on the river bridge in the town. He said what he'd seen was Puzzle standing in front of a sign which said Beaconsfield and also that she kept looking out of a leaded window watching for her real owners, although she is happy where she is. He also said she had been homed to them from a rescue centre. He said he could see a faded yellow sign with Cummings, Curling or Copestone. Didn't see anything like that in either area. While I was driving around the lanes, a black labrador came out onto the road from one of the farms and afterwards I was wondering if he was giving me a sign (if you see what I mean), but there was a lane closed off and diversion signs all over the place so I got a bit lost and couldn't find that farm again, although it didn't fit in with anything the communicator said other than that he feels Puzzle is with a big dog like a lab or setter. I thought if Laura could send a poster to the stables, the riders can see a lot from their elevated position and they spend a lot of time around the lanes there. Chris Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm back. Put posters through all the doors (well, letterboxes) in Beaconsfield and Copperfields and a few more on the road that leads to them. A house in Copperfields also has leaded windows and a green door and dogs started barking when I put the poster through. Didn't see any dogs going 'walkies' in the area that fit description. Went to see where the riding stables was. Down lots of winding country lanes (1 car wide). Found the stables which I don't think was part of the farm, and there is a bungalow by the side of the entrance with small frame windows (not leaded), on a bend. Going from Bridgnorth along winding road with forest on left, about 5 miles from Bridgnorth in opposite direction to Beaconsfield but from stables you would have to cross bridge to get to martket. I think it would be a good idea to send poster to stables. I used all the ones I took with me postering Beaconsfield etc. God, I hope your phone starts ringing soon. Laura, I've spoken with communicator. He more or less said what you said in your last post re forest/horses etc. I've just looked on the street map of where the road is and there are some plantations nearby. To get to the road (I had problems finding it) the roads leading to it are curved, some going round almost in a circle. Also on the map, found nearby a place called Racecourse Farm. Also just realised, there is another cul-de-sac off Beaconsfield called Copperfield. (Also asked what I did for a living as he felt I was in a 'caring' profession!! - another psycic said that not long ago). He's had my phone no in case he thinks of anything else - for Puzzle, not me. I'll take the posters tomorrow and also have a drive down to have a look where the stables are in Quatt. Wish I'd got a boat as it's on the other side of the river from me. All cross your fingers please. Chris Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No, at the moment I'm investigating Bridgnorth. Found a house that matches mostly so I'm going to put posters through doors on Sunday. If that doesn't bring results, I'm near Telford on Thursday. If no-one else offers first I'll try to find that one. Must admit Telford is not the easiest place in the country to navigate though. ChrisLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

doggroomer - that's interesting, although I remember from history lesson thsa blackfriars were part of the Dominican Friarys, and greyfriars were part of the franciscan friarys. But, i wonder what is near that site now? Could be some business (pub, bar etc) with a reference to blackfriars, if they didn't know the ins and outs of friary life??!! lily - you're a horsey person aren't you? I've found something that I don't understand - in bridgnorth there is a place called Broad Acre Racing Stables and the Advert says : 'Broad Acre Racing Stables (With Blackfriars) ' --- what does that mean??Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Laura, I've just looked in the Bridgnorth phone book and nothing in there for Blackfriars anything. Maybe it's the name of the house or something else nearby. I've just made a note of all the details from the clairvoyant so I'll look for those things when I get there. This is exciting - I've been wondering whether a career change would be good for me. Would I fance having 'Private Detective' after my name?? Let's hope it brings a good result and Puzzle is back with you soon. ChrisLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

thanks chris i contacted many tears a while ago and they have her poster but i do check every so often,if you are postering in bridgnorth at beaconsfield rd could you look out for a house or pub maybe called blackfriars the name seems to be very important to puzzle!lauraLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Laura, I was just thinking about the clairvoyant saying Lily wasn't well and about puppies. I wonder if she was sold to a puppy farm (God forbid). Do you look at Many Tears rescue on dogpages? They take a lot of ex-breeding bitches from puppy farms and if she was and she's having problems producing, the farm will want rid of her. She could end up there. I hope this hasn't happened but it's worth watching the site. Chris Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I groom some dogs in Telford and have to go there Thursday next week. I'll have a word with their owners to see if they could help although they're north of Telford (very big place) and Beaconsfield is south. If I have time while I'm there I might be able to put some posters up. Have to get back for my dogs though. Just waiting to hear from Laura if she uses the poster off here as it's not a very good picture. ChrisLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've pm'd Laura about postering Beaconsfield in Bridgnorth. It looks on the map like just a little cul-de-sac but off a road with lots of little cul-de-sacs. Right on the very edge of the town. You wouldn't have to drive over the bridge to get to the main market but I don't know where the other markets are as I haven't lived here long (8 miles from Bridgnorth) and work mostly in the opposite direction. I'll wait to hear. Chris Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

laura - mmmmm, back to puzzles. An identical scenario I have found. Road called Beaconsfield in Telford, Shropshire. In the centre of town, taking you to Market Square an old iron bridge (built 1777), and 1.8 miles from Telford in a place called Shifnal is the biggest RAF museum in the country. So again, all ties in. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hi laura - been scouting around for lily's info - seems trickier than puzzles. can't find any place called burston park (i thought it might be the name of the school which is opposite her house), although like nikki said there is a Burston in Norfolk, also one in staffordshire. I have found a J.Atkins in Burston staffs, and a Janet Atkins who runs a dog rescue place ( don't know which breed) in Cumbria (Lake District?- I know that was mentioned). So these mightbe worth a shot. I have pm'd you their telephone numbers as don't want to post htem on here. Post any more info from the animal communicator as soon as you get it and will help you work it out! Ann xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

right - so far, have come up with this for puzzle: Road called Beaconsfield (on it's own, no road street etc) in Bridgnorth, Shropshire. Bridgnorth has 3 markets, and old stone bridge in centre (according to map you would have to drive over this from beaconsfield to market). ALSO, can't work out mileage, but within 10 miles of beaconsfield (road)is located - wait for it - the old RAF bridgnorth base. This seems to tie in - what do you think? What relevance did the blackfriars bit have - was it supposed to be a name? Just trying to work out lilys one. Ann xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hi laura - I check regulary on any news on lily and puzzle, looked today and read your last post! This is what I LOVE - sleuthing around on the internett! I have found three roads by the name of Beaconsfield in the Shropshire area, one in bridgnorth, one in telford and another in a place called brookside?? The street in bridgnorth is about 15 mins away from the bridgnorth markets! Just trying to find out if there is a market in Telford, (none in brookside) and how far away from beaconsfield road. Have you any more info from the animal communicator? ANN XLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi I got a message today about council gypsy liason officers. I didn't know there was such a thing but apparently he goes on and off the sites regularly collecting rents etc. I phoned the council and there is such a person, I have to speak to him tomorrow, maybe if you try your local council and so does everyone else they can make it possible to send posters to them or scan every dog on the site,if they are aware they can also keep a look out for the vanLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Lily thank you for supporting my messages on Georgias site with blue. I don't know where busters details have gone and have emailed Jayne to find out. Buster has been missing since August 2004, nearly as long as yours and it seems he went missing in the same way as yours. I too have another dog now but I understand how you feel, my new dog cannot replace buster and my heart will always ache for him. I look at every staffy I see twice just incase its him. Have a look at the new stuff I have found out just from trawling the reunited staffys, it seems like this irish thing and traveller thing is a bigger concern that I thought. The police were also more than useless with me. I phone them once to tell them I was following the van, and they told me to go home. After telling them in no uncertain words that I was not going, they said they didn't want me to get into a situation I couldn't get out of as there were no spare policemen to get to me. Sadly I lost the van. Buster went at 11.00 am Saturday morning and after insisting that they take a statement they came and knocked me out of bed at 3.30am Tuesday morning, only to tell me that the information I had gathered was hearsay and they couldn't act on it. I will send my email address to Jayne so if you wish to contact me you can do, this goes to everyone involved in helping blue.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Lily and Puzzle's mum - Your last message is so lovely. It's great that you have a new dog and I sincerely hope that your new little lad gets to meet Lily and Puzzle soon. Keep looking, they must be out there somewhere, probably living a life of luxury being pampered by some unsuspecting new owners! Good luck and God bless.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I rang the local press and spoke to Alex a fellow dog owner who was very concerned and hopefully will do an article. Owners husband got on to the police and threatened a police complaint and bingo the photos turned up-the police even approached the papers for help! Just shows you have to scream and shout to get something done!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yet another story of incompetence by our British police force!! I do hope Lily and Puzzle are found asap as their owner is obviously in a terrible state. Maybe the time has come for all supporters to contact their local MPs and to blitz local newspapers. Jayne I'll email you separately. JennyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If the owner still has the negatives then you can get reprints from them so all isn't lost. Someone is obviously feeling threatened by her action which possibly means that they could be released if things get too hot. Does anyone know the press in this area - the sooner they are contacted the better! Perhaps calls to the police station dealing with this is in order- the more people asking, the more pressure they will be under to do something. The press need to be told about the police inaction-might make a better story. Dog theft feels like child abduction so why can't it be treated like it in law?? Sorry I know I'm ranting at the converted but I really feel for this poor woman who needs as much support and help as possible.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner is very upset with the police-they have lost her only photos of the dogs and "didn't" think to view the CCTV cameras on the scene! Owner feels she is being fobbed off and has also recieved threatening calls telling her to back off. She has arranged a meeting with her MP and we have strongly advised her to make a police complaint-The crime number is for vehicle thsft-NOT dog theft-when will they admit it is happening? Owner has spent the last 2 days in hospital as she collapsed with the strain of everything. We are going to the press tomorrow with this story of police incompetency! I am so angry!!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So sorry to hear about Lily and Puzzle - lets hope you get some good news very soon. Try and get posters up asap - they really do work. Someone has probably adopted them, its amazing how many people will take a dog in thinking they are strays! Good luck its early days yet.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner can be contacted on 07919 678067. Both dogs were in a car that was broken into-they left the older Shih-tzu bitch behind.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
