So sorry for your loss of gorgeous Jaspeer. My heart goes out to his family, But you gave Jasper a good home; he knew he was well loved. And love never dies. So devastated. The lost dog community truly are an amazing thing. I knew nothing about it until a week ago, but have been blown away by the support we received. We loved Jasper, so much. 😢

Some very sad news from Jasper's page I'm afraid.
Our much loved dog Jasper was found today in Hindhead Common. Unfortunately he is no longer with us. He is at rainbow bridge.
Jasper had a difficult start to life. He was found on the street only a few months old by the kind people at the Bahrain Animal Rescue Centre who took him in and looked after him until we adopted him through the Wild at Heart Foundation last December.
His arrival immediately changed our life. He wasn't everyone's cup of tea. He barked at strangers and training him over the last year has been hard work. But he had such an amazing character, we loved him very much and he brightened up our lives.
The last week has been really tough and it obviously hasn't ended the way we would have wanted, but the one consolation we have is that we have been totally overwhelmed by the kindness of all the incredible people who have helped us in our search. There are simply too many people to thank but in that respect it has been a truly life-affirming experience.
We so wanted to find Jasper, and we will miss Jasper dearly.
RIP little guy.

The search continues. We are tired and cold but we will not give up. Jasper will be tireder and colder and we keep looking until we bring him home. We miss him so much. We have has some reported sightings and we continue to follow these up as quickly as we can. If anyone knows where he is, please get in contact!

From owner - Our dog Jasper is still missing - it has been 4 days now

Our rescue dog Jasper went missing on Tuesday in Hindhead Common near Farnham Lane. He chased a deer over some fences and could not get back to us. We have had sightings reported of him in the local area - we believe he may have travelled in the local area - and we would be really grateful if when you are out this weekend you would look out for him and report anything to us.
We adopted Jasper, who we think is a collie-saluki cross, almost one year ago through a charity. He is two years old. He was found wandering on his own on the streets of Bahrain at 3 months old. We do not know how he ended up there but we assume he was abandoned as a puppy or born on the streets. We believe he was abused when he was on the streets. He then spent 8 months in a shelter in Bahrain where he was cared for, but in very poor conditions, before he came to the UK.
Like many ex-street dogs, Jasper has fear issues and is scared of people, loud noises and many other things. He will have strong survival instincts but he will be terrified whilst he is out on his own. If you see him, please just report the sighting to us on 07763 646539 as soon as possible
We have searched day and night for him since Tuesday and we have been overwhelmed by the kindness of the many people we have met since then. Many of whom have given up time to look for him, put posters up or support us in any other way, even though they have never met us. It has made a terrible week, somewhat bearable.
One week tomorrow will be Jasper's "gotcha day" - which is the anniversary of when we adopted him. We so desperately want to find him and bring him home so he can celebrate with us. The thought of him out on his own breaks out hearts.
The more people who are aware that he is out there, the more chance there is that we find him. So please help us by spreading the word, and reporting any sightings. We will be so grateful.

Hello. We are not giving up on this little guy. We are out searching and putting posters up everyday. We have had some sightings but we have not succeeded yet in finding him. Please do all you can to help spread the word. We need Jasper home. It is not the same without him.

Hello. We have had a reported sighting which sounds very likely to be him at around 4pm near the Golden Valley in Beacon Hill. If anyone has seen him in that area - or is out walking their dogs in the morning - then please let us know on Facebook or on 07763 646539. Thank you to everyone for their help so far. So sorry you haven't found him, well go out again in the morning, we walked from punchbowl carpark to car park on 287, no sign of him along that path, will go different route tomorrow.

No luck finding him so far. Thank you everybody for looking and for sharing the posts. Fingers crossed he turns up. He's a former street dog so hopefully he knows how to fend for himself. The poor thing will be terrified.

Jasper is a 2yo rescue who is scared of people he doesn't know. He chased a deer on a walk 1 mile from home across the A287 and may have difficulty finding his way past high fencing.
