Hi all. Just a messgae to give you all a quick updated on Fred. He has put on asome weight in the last week and he is running around like a nutter on his back legs now he can jump, run and do everything a normal dog can. it is amazing what warmth and food can do hey. also his skin is getting sorted we gave him a bath last night for the first time with some medication treatment and he is like a totally different lovely smelling dog his coat has come up perfect and his skin does not seem to be itching like it was for him. as of tomorrow he can be re-homed and i already have homes lined up for him. he certainly has made an impression on to our famiy bless him. all take care and speak soon. thanks NatsLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just like to add a little comment too, I agree with all the other comments, you are a star taking on this little boy, what a lucky lad he is and it sounds as if he so deserves it.  Not only are you caring for him in his hour of need, it also sounds as if he has been to the vets for check ups and we all know how expensive this can be.  Well done you lovely lady, take care and you Fred.  Hope all goes well for him.  Kind regards JulieLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

natalie S, also just wanted to add my thanks (I'm the other Millys Mum!). When I read your description, I was so hoping that it might be Scraps. Ah well, hopefully one day soon... Fred certainly looks like he's taking it all in his stride and making himself thorougly at home. What a funny little lad and so lucky to find someone like you!

Thanks Millies Mum !!! Means alot. An update for you all he has had a check up at the vets, they think he has been living rough for a very long time as he has lost all of his muscle mass after all his body fat and his hair loss is just simple bad conditions and stress and bad diet. he also has bad ears which are very infected but easily fixed. im still searching thanks to you all again. Oh also we have posted up lots of posters where we found him and the local scholl where he was found are doing so also. so lets hope things will look up. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I hope that his "Mum and Dad" are looking for him, and that he will be reunited soon. Love from Somerset.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Has this little chap been checked for a microchip?   Benjie is chipped, although I know they can always be missed.   Whoever he belongs to, he has certainly found a lovely foster home, and he is safe.   Best of luck, little man xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It is admirable that you are going to such lengths to find the owner of this little lad. We will do all we can to help. I must say he looks perfectly happy curled up on the sofa  all warm and comfortable and I'm sure he could not be in better hands for the time being. Well done!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hi thanks for your message i have taken a look at Scraps and there is no likeness between them which made my heart sink. I am keeping the found dog because i can not bring myself to letting the wardens take him. i look on the websites i have registered him on a good 3-4 times a day hoping i will be able to re-united him with his owner. i will try and get some pictues up on here of him asap. Millys Mum
natalie s, is there any chance that this Found dog could be Scraps, missing from Ilton, N Yorks? Scraps is a small black & tan, neutered, approx 5 year old terrier cross with very distinctive large sticking up ears. Scraps is also chipped, unless it's migrated or not showing up for some reason.
