FANTASTIC NEWS - Harry is home. Wooo hoooo, welcome home boy! After his owners worked so hard and covered the area with posters, he was spotted and they were reunited. Power of the poster! Harry was wandering by himself when spotted, so had possibly been dumped after being made too hot to handle.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Claire, sorry to hear there is no news yet of Harry....keep spreading the word as you are doing and postering and your persistence will pay off I am sure. Where abouts in Romford was he stolen from? Do you know for sure if he was stolen in the burglary or escaped in the process? I would say make sure you get some posters up at main road junctions too, just incase he has been taken slightly out of area. You could print some out on A3 and even put them on thin mdf and stake in the ground. You must keep the pressure up. At the moment, the phone number registered in Harry's details is not the one you posted, I presume it is Lezloz's. Would you like me to change it so your number is on the poster. I will drop you an email too....presume you didn't get the one I sent you the other day as that would have gone to Lezloz's! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Jotty Thank you for the advice and support. We have already put up posters on the local parks with his picture and registered him as missing with various websites, local newspapers, dog wardens etc so his lovely face is out there. My insurance company recommended a website, Animalsearchuk.com who have very kindly drawn up posters and leaflets also which we can distribute and put through doors etc, they have been fantastic but we really appreciate any help we're given, we can never have too many people looking for him. My name is Clare Diable and an probably easier to contact as i'm on e-mail all the time clare.diable@intl.telstra.com or 07855 333 506. Lezloz is my husband's daughter and was kindly register Harry missing whilst we were sorting out other stuff. Please contact me any time with any other advice or suggestions, they are greatly appreciated. Thanks again for everything. Regards Clare DiableLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Lezloz, so sorry to see that Harry is missing but we will all do all we can to help you find him. I presume the police have been notified and have issued you with a crime ref no. and are investigating? Great that Harry is microchipped - ensure you contact the chip company and inform them that he has been stolen. Also, please make sure you notify local councils dog wardens, vets, kennels etc and also poster the area like crazy. You need to make Harry the best known boy in town and make him too hot to handle - poster anywhere people go - shops, parks, pubs (especially as dogs often get sold on in pubs), near schools, visit any markets, hand out to dustmen, postman etc. You can download a poster with his details on from the top his page here on Doglost - go to the top where all his details start in Dog Information and you will see a Dog Poster1 link - click that and his poster will open. I will also do you some smaller flyers (great for handing out, putting through doors etc) and email them over later - at work at the mo. I will also circulate his poster to all my Essex contacts. Thanks Greyhoundgalore for your offer of help, any posters you can put up in the area would be fab. Once I have done the flyers will email them to you too. Keep us posted Lezloz of how you're getting on and any developments, possible sightings etc. Have you managed to get any media coverage - local paper and radio? If not, definitely need to get something in the paper, we could help with wording etc as have a PR/Media person who could help - let me know. I will give you a call tonight and offer some more advice, see how you're getting on etc. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
