I'm so sorry to hear that Pebbles is missing. What a stunning looking girl she is (although I would say that, wouldn't I?!). I'm not sure whether these contact numbers are up to date for Rottie folk, representing Rottweiler Welfare, in your area but please call them to alert them and for advice. Beryl Harmon - 01702 523821, John Dyson (Upminster) - 01708 223474, Linda Goodchild (Dagenham) - 020 8593 0976, Gill Wilson (Collier Row) - 01708 744946. If they are no longer involved with Rottie Welfare, I'm sure that they would point you in the right direction. My Rottie girl, Milly is quite terrified of fireworks and she get worse as each year goes by (she's 4 next May) & so I'm wondering whether Pebbles was spooked by a particularly loud bang or 'screaming type' firework, as their hearing is so very sensitive. I suspect she could be laying low somewhere. I hope's it's not long before you find Pebbles. Just get as many as those posters out as possible and make Pebbles the hottest and best known girl in town. Remember, you really can't put up too many posters! Good Luck!!!

Pebbles escaped from her garden/kennel area on Saturday evening (Glynafon - thanks for the link but was def 8th Pebbles went missing). It is all a bit of a mystery - it would be difficult for her to escape as its well fenced and equally there was no sign of forced entry. Obviously there were a lot of fireworks Saturday evening but Pebbles is an outdoor dog and lives outside and is not normally worried particularly by fireworks. Owners have contacted local dog wardens, vets, kennels. They have checked the surrounding area, ditches, wooded areas etc and also postered the local area but nothing. There is quite a lot of open fields in this area (Lower Road/Church Road area of Hockley), local stables and riders have also been alerted. Hopefully Pebbles is just lying low somewhere at the moment and will make an appearance shortly. Thankfully she is microchipped and was wearing ID. Photo will be sent later.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Could you check that the missing date is correct as a female Rottie was picked up on 07/11/08 in Colchester http://www.colchester.gov.uk/lost_dogs_list.asp?sec_id=691Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
