Wonderful news. Elated for owners. i would now keep Cinnamon indoors now for at least a week, or she may go awol again. I would now have her neutered, and microchipped if not already done so. She should then stay more homebound Stay close now Cinnamon:-) xxx

If Cinnamon isn`t neutered, and in season she may have gone seeking a mate, and sometimes they will stay away for a day or two. Sometimes they can become lost, and disorientated. The main two reasons why a cat goes missing is either they are trppeded somewhere, or someone is feeding them. And when a cat is trapped in an outbuilding, they can stay very still, and quiet, because they are feeling very anxious. They are renowned for it. So leave no stone unturned. Check any outbuildings THOROUGHLY as some cats will hide in or behind an object within especially if timid. Bear in mind too that cats have very flexible spines, so they can sqeeze into very small spaces (about 2"/3" wide (7/7.5cm) So has he managed to climb into a partially opened window, and is now trapped? Exiting can be more difficult. Check trees; any deckings too. Put some tuna/sardines, or chicken in his dish, and call him; cats do recognize their owners voices. Just because you can`t see a cat it doesn`t mean they are aren`t around. Place his UNWASHWED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot,or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe his scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract his attention. Take a good wealk around the area, holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. Someone maybe feeding him (Common problem) When it`s nightfall, and you are searching for Cinnamon, take with you a strong torch as the light will refect a cats eyes; an UNWASHED blanket of his too. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Post in shops; post offices too if you can. Post a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper in case he has climbed into a vehicle, which isn`t uncommon for cats to do. A|so is there a dominant cat in the area? As sometimes a cat will chase a less confident cat out of it`s own territory, however the chased cat will not usually return until they think it`s "safe" enough for them to do so., unless they become lost, and disorientated. And ask family, friends, and neighbours to share as well as well as DL. Twitter too, Paws xd.Last edited: 2020-06-17 16:07:13 by Will
