I am sure someone must have taken in a cute little poppet like this. Hope she comes home to you soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We so hoped we would have got Dizzee home for Christmas but it was not to be, we did have a few phone calls leading up to it.  One which we were unable to find any more information about which was a guy rang us to say about 17th December he had seen a couple of lads with a dog matching Dizzee's description in the Bishops Stortford area.  He said that they were going to take her to the police station, but as we know they do not deal with this any longer.  We rang the dog warden but no luck and the vets.  Any help your end would be appreciated, not sure you are able to but we still continue to hope that she may be out there with someone, somewhere...

I am so sorry that you don't have Dizzee home for xmas. After all the sightings, I thought she would have found her way home by now. Still hopeful. Best wishes.xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

You are doing great....we all have our fingers crossed and are willing Dizzee home! Yes, as you say, target the farms....also anywhere with links to this type of area - farm shops, suppliers, walking/rambling clubs, cycling groups, horse riders, local shoots, pubs etc. Keelah, PR Advisor will be in touch with you, I have passed your email address to her. Thank you for your comments and help.  Believe me we have not given up hope for our little Dizzee yet.  We will be out again as soon as poss getting more posters and leaflets up.  The hardest part is that is so rural out there so we are going to target the farms this time in the hope they might keep an eye on their fields for us. Thanks againLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to hear there have been no sightings of Dizzee over the last week. Keep going with the posters though as of course the more posters, the more chance of her being sighted. Sometimes it does go quiet for a while before the next sighting so don't loose heart. I will get in touch with the Keelah who helps with the press/media bits and see what she can do for you to help. I have also put Dizzee on the list to be included in the Countryman's Weekly magazine (we get space in there each week to appeal for info on missing dogs).  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well the trail has gone well and truely cold for sightings of Dizzee.  Nothing now for over a week.  So with regard to your offer of media contact and wording, we would really appreciate any help. Many thanksLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Maybe as suggested try and get some media coverage but ask that they also make it VERY CLEAR on the law if you find a dog- correct procedure tec- if you need help with a press release then ask as we can get it worded for you. This may jolt someone who may have taken in Dizzee but does not know what they should do BY LAW. Maybe ask dog warden to keep an eye open around this possible address as well.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

OK here we go again.... Put more posters out yesterday in new areas.  Have received a phone call last night from someone telling us that there was a guy who has taken in a little dog in Dunmow area.  We were given an address to a flat, which was incorrect but just in case you have any people near or around this area it was to an address in New Street, Great Dunmow.  We put some flyers through some doors down this road but who knows.  Obviously can't say for sure if this is Dizzee as unable to call back the person that rung.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yes we have done just about everything.  Dizzee is a most precious dog to Charli, she is 17 and she is missing her everyday.  So Dizzee deserves for us to try and find her.  We have put her story in the local paper and have contacted a few of the radio stations but unfortunatey nothing yet.  We will carry on... You're doing such a great job lilsmurf - really hoping you get the result you deserve soon. Have you managed to get any media - local paper/local radio- coverage at all for Dizzee? If not, that would definitely be worth a go as would reach so many people.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you Sarah for doing that.  We are going out again on Friday checking the posters and putting some more up in new areas.  Going to try the Fyfield area this time as think she may have moved that way and we haven't been down as far as that yet.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Put a fresh poster in a plastic wallet up for you on the main noticeboard at Pishiobury park as a lot of dog walkers from Harlow, Sawbridgeworth and Bishop Stortford pass by it regularly. Hope you have good news soon thinking of you Sarah x

Thank you everyone for your help and comments.  All Dizzee's posters are in plastic wallets but I think the awful rain we had all day yesterday has caused them to get ruined.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Perhaps those out looking for Dizzee could also keep an eye out for Willow Ref:15266 as she has also been sighted in Harlow. Good luck on finding her.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi there Charli. Just wondering if you could put your posters out in clear plastic folders upside down, as this will keep them dry and readable.Probably Dizzee is surviving on rabbits and such like just now. It is good to know she is ok, and that must give you hope that you will see her home soon.Terriers are very good at hunting. You just need to keep ahead of that triangle and one day soon you will catch her. One little Yorkie I know of who ran off after a fright, had her mum out at all hours looking for her for weeks, scenting etc. after sightings of miles away, and little Yorkie was sighted back not far from home eventually, and still had to be caught, as she seemed to be enjoying it.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Bumped up again given the sighting. You are doing a great job lilsmurf and working so hard, you really deserve a good result.....and soon I hope! Great that you are getting more sightings, the amount of postering you are doing is so crucial as then you get the calls coming in. I am sure Dizzee is having great fun on her adventure, totally unaware of all the worry she is putting you through. Hoping to see her in the blue reuniteds soon. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Many thanks to you Donna that is most kind.  We are just waiting for some ink to arrive for the printer and we will be out again sorting the posters out.  The awful rain we had yesterday has slowed our progress unfortunately as no sighting of Dizzee on Monday.  Hopefully we will get a call today.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, I live in Sheering and will look out for Dizzee.  I noticed the poster in Hatfield Heath so came on here to see if the missing dog was registered.  Due to the bad weather, the posters are struggling to survive!  I know a few people in the countryside where Dizzee may have been seen so will ask everyone to keep an eye out.  Good luck Donna xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yet another update.  We were out yesterday and we had a call to say that Dizzee was seen in the middle of a farmers field by some "metal detector" people at 10am.  She was apparently fit and well and quite calmly strolling around in and out of the cover of trees between the fields.  She seems to have possibly started to track out of the last area of Old Harlow from Friday and this was Foster Street.  So fingers crossed, we have covered most of the area with posters and flyers through doors around there, so we may get a call soon where we are actually in front of her and not behind.  8 days on and she appears to still be going strong.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for the update lilsmurf. Great there have been so many sightings of Dizzee. If you are not already, please plot each of these sightings on an OS map. Dogs will often travel in a triangular pattern when running loose and it looks like Dizzee is doing this, from Elsenham down to Hatfield Heath/White Rodding and then across towards Old Harlow is almost 2 sides of the triangle. It is possible from where she is now she will head again in the direction of home i.e. the 3rd side of the triangle. Make sure you are postering the areas she has been seen in and also poster areas between Old Harlow and you, incase as I say she does move in this direction next.....then hopefully you may get ahead of her. I will let all my contacts in that area know. I will give you a call later too. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just to update.  Dizzee has been on her travels it would seem.  She has been now sighted in Hatfield Heath then headed towards White Roding.  Since then she has been sighted heading through Sheering and onto Old Harlow.  To date, if these sightings are correct Dizzee has travelled 13 miles.  Any help in her new area would be most appreciated.  We are so desperate to get her home.  Trying to get in front of our Dizzee is proving very difficult.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dizzee is still missing and we have had some alleged sighting of her in areas up to 4 miles away from Elsenham but have heard nothing since Tuesday where they believe she may have been seen in the Takeley area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have texted owner and spoken, offering advice.I don't think this little dog will be far away and is probably hiding or has been taken in by someone.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Please help find our dear, sweet Dizzee.  She was let out by mistake in the Elsenham area on Saturday 1st November at 8pm and the fireworks scared her off.  We have had no sightings of her and are desperate to get her back.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
