- As a nervous rescue cat, I would treat her as though she is an Indoor cat. She is probably hiding somewhere. and feeling very anxious. A door she has access to open wide, and stand aside. Do not blopck her entance as she may see it as a "Threat" and run away. Put some tuna./sardines or warm chicken in her dish, and place it about twice the width of the open door. Place her UNWASHED blanket into a clean container , and place it about 1 or 2 metres from the open door. DO NOT put her litter tray outside, as other cats may use it, and it will oonfuse and scare her. Empty litter contents only onto the garden. When you see her approach. act nonchalant.
