Thank you all for your kind words and yes it is absolutely fabulous to have our old girl back home again with us, she has now had a nice bath as very condusive with Yarnie she had found soemthing very smelly to roll in, and although very tired and stiff at the moment she is very well and we can tell very happy to have her cosy bed back.
The inlaws are over the moon too as it was  a very close call, they had spent along walk and a few hours there and were about to call it a day but as they were driving away they happened to glance up a track and there she was and although it took 10 minutes of coaxing once Yarnie realised it was her dear friends she couldnt wait to get in the car and come home. We can't thank them enough.
I think the warmest memeory i have of this is when my son got home from school to find his faithful friend was home, it was lovely to see them both as happy as each other to see each other.
Once again thank you all for all the kind support you gave us, its a fab website and a great job you do, well done to you all.
Warmest thanks, Jane x

I'm so pleased to hear that this very precious girl is back home safe and sound! What lovely in-laws you have - they must have been so chuffed with themselves! I expect Yarnie is curled up in her nice cosy bed after her mini adventure. Welcome home Yarnie - stay close from now on!!!

WONDERFUL TO SEE YARNIE REUNITED WITH HER FAMILY.  I was so thrilled to hear this news today.  She's not the first to go missing in the forest out here and probably won't be the last, but thanks to her caring and vigilant family she is safely home again.  Hope she gets a CHIP now it really is worth it!  Big hug Yarnie xoxox Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Lovely to come out of work and hear that Yarnie is home. Thanks for the text Jan. Its always more of a worry with the oldies, and I know how concerned this family were. Well done everyone who helped with this and especially the lovely caring inlaws who eventually found her safe. Welcome home Yarnie x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to Jane and she's getting lots of posters up and contacted Forestry Commission, etc. Has had advice from Jan on scenting as Yarnie could well go back to place where she went missing.  Hope Yarnie won't be gone long now. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi thank you all for ur kind words, i am at the moment struggling to upload a pic of her so i can print posters off, if u can give me any guidance i would be very grateful as the sooner i can get these done the better. I have had help from 2 local radio stations so far as the other one doesnt do things like that, as she went missing in the woods i am goign to contact all the local stables too today as the riders may well see while out on their hacks etc. Thanks again for the help and support, Jane

It's worth asking Radio Suffolk to put out an appeal 01473 212121, although they can't always do it anymore.  Leslie Dolphin may do it for you!  Also any other local radio stns. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So sorry Yarnie has run off on her walk.  Presumably this is one of the smaller woods at Iken and not Tunstall Forest, in which case she is probably well out of the woods by now.  You need to get posters up as quickly as poss all around the area to make people aware.  Please get photo to us a.s.a.p. so you can print off a Poster and helpers here can do the same.  You will obviously need to put posters up at Snape Maltings, esp the shops, cafe & all pubs there (Plough & Sail, Crown & Golden Key - all v helpful people).  Also on footpath signs, and maybe she's run off towards the river so get lots up there.  I'm going to Aldeburgh on Tues so I'll get some up there if her pic is on here by then. URGENT that you phone and keep phoning Suffolk Coastal Dog Warden 01394 444000/01394 383789 and rehoming kennels Pampered Pets 01728 747760 where she should be taken if found.  Also West End Kennels 01449 737641, Suffolk Animal Rescue 01728 860937, RSPCA Martlesham 01473 623280, Mid Suffolk Warden 01449 727153/07941 558096.  Go to kennels to see for yourself if you can.  Give posters to postmen, milkmen, delivery men, Post Offices, Schools, garages, pubs, shops in area esp Orford & Aldeburgh.  Also dog groomers, nearest prob Pets Perfection Aldeburgh.  Sure Yarnie will be home soon, we'll help all we can.  Good luck. x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jane can you please confirm the postcode and age of Yarnie, is she 10 months or years?  Your account has now been activated and you can post on her page.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jane, sorry to see Yarnie is missing, thanks for registering and putting her details on DL, can you uploade a photo/s or email one to admin@doglost.co.uk and problems with a photo let us know. We will do all we can to help you in your search for her.   You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible.  You can print posters once a photo has been added by selecting Dog Poster 1  just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).  Contact vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Do update us on who has been contacted ie DW’s etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment just above other comments.  Good luck and hope she is found soon.  Jan Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
