I've missed this - what excellent news. Indeed - the power of the chip, and thanks to the vet who scanned her. Welcome home Maisy xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Great news - welcome home Maisy and a big THANK YOU to the caring and professional vet. Angus, perhaps we should have a DogLost 'Roll of Honour' for those vets, councils, rescues, etc who routinely scan (wished ours would but, so far, no luck!). Just keep 'em coming!!!

Another Long Termer Reunited via her chip and a Vet that Scans! I have just had Mark's Dad on the phone, a bolt from the blue phone call this morning from a local vet who has just had scanned an new patient into the surgery - Maisy is now on her way home. The new lady 'owner' had recently bought Maisy from someone and had taken her to the vet for a check over, a massive thank you to the vets for routine scanning of new patients, just wish that they would all do the same. Hopefully Maisy will fit back into her old life quickly as she has been away for more than half her little life. I will be finding out which of our local vets surgeries this is so that I can thank them and supply them with doglost cards to hand out.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Maisy sighted again this morning on Bragenham Lane about 500 yards from the entrance to her Farm by a local Kennels.  Kennels on the look out for Maisy and owners scenting the lane back to the farm, fingers crossed on this one.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Good News - Maisy was sighted on Tuesday 28th October at about 4.30pm. A Farmer on their way home stopped on BRAGENHAM LANE near Little Brickhill to avoid a rabbit that ran out in the road, just as well as a very skinny Maisy was in pursuit. This is very close to home but also to woodland where she must be holed up, I have advised on scenting, owners have put down bedding and old clothes near to where she was seen, and have had other dog out looking, who went mad on the road where she ran across, she could be coming into season as she will now be about 6 months old. they are going to search using the other dog but on a long line hopefuly !Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have just spoken to Mark, hopefully they will register later with the site, They have contacted  Dogwarden in Milton Keynesand South Beds and Aylesbury Vale as they are on the corner of the 3 counties. They have also spoken to the Police. Leighton Buzzard were very good and helpful. Park Rangers at Oakwood and Stockgrove are also aware. Maisy seems to have just disappeared into thin air. She has all the right ID to get her home if she falls to the right hands.I have advised printing off posters and places to poster and also scenting around the property incase she has got stuck down a hole and finds her way out. Hopefully owner will post later.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Posted on behalf of Maisy's owners Mark & Julie, Maisy is 5 1/2 months old and went missing at 4.30pm on Friday 19th. The local farmer has searched rabbit runs with his terriers but no sign as yet. Maisy is very friendly little dog with distinctive markings. They have contacted local dog warden - will advise them to contact Bedfordshire Dog wardens as well at it is on the border of Buck/Beds Councils Will update further once I have spoken to Julie later Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
