Just wanted to pop on and say a big thankyou to sue here at doglost she was a great support to me... im Lynsey Iona's owner 2 years on and Iona couldnt be happier our dogs are our life and are not your average stay at home dogs they go mountain climbing, cycling, sailing well basically do everything&go everywhere with us. Althought we did all the right things at the time, visited all many shelters and informed the dog warden, gave them plenty of pictures etc iona was one that slipped the net and she got sold on,when we found out it broke our hearts but we didnt give up, after lots of persistance we got our baby back and the shelter then shifted blame onto the dog warden for the mistake(mmm). Please guys dont give up on your puppydogs they wouldnt give up on you...keep knocking on doors, revisit all the shelters again and again because sometimes they do slip through the net and get sold on. Sue was lovely and rang me a few times giving me advice and support which was really needed at the time so putting it short THANKYOU SUE!!!! XXXXXXX

So pleased to see Iona has been reunited with her owners and doggy pal. It must have been hard for the people who had adopted her from the rescue to give her back to her owners but they did do the right thing and should be applauded for doing so. Hopefully they will find another dog they would like to share their lives with and I am sure that any dog they give a home to will be sure of a happy life with such kind hearted and compassionate folk. welcome home Iona and stay safe from now on x Pam  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Iona's family must be very very relieved to have her back, the new family must have such big hearts to give her back it must be such a wrench,  I hope that it doesn't put them off taking on another rescue dog as they obviously deserve to have the love of a beautiful dog. I do hope that Iona settles back in quickly.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank goodness the new owners were caring enough to let Iona go back to her original owners, it must have been a real wrench as it doesn't take long to get attached to a rescue dog. Let's hope they can find it in their hearts to give another homeless dog the loving home it deserves.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Iona is home and is a very lucky girl to be back with her family.   She ended up at the Destitute Animal Centre and was rehomed two weeks ago but the new owners kindly agreed to let her go back to her real family. Many thanks to you for doing the right thing, you have made Iona?s family very happy and there was also another little furry person at home who was missing her terribly. There are so many dogs looking for their special family and I hope you find another real soon.   So Iona came home yesterday and spent the afternoon having some great walks in the countryside and on the beach!!   Her owners are absolutely over the moon and will be sending a reunited piccie soon.    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So sorry to see Iona has gone missing can you please send a photo to admin@doglost.co.uk . Once the photo is on site you can print off her poster by clicking on to Dog Poster 1 at the top of this page, you need to be logged in to do this. Get posters put up all around the area and send copies to all vets and rescue centres. Make sure trhe dog warden is aware she is missing. If the dates are correct she has been gone for a month now so try to get your local paper and radio station to run a story. Please go and visit rescue centres as often as possible don't rely on them to contact you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
