Its the worst news I'm afraid. I have just come out of work to a message from Ann, left on my mobile to say that Hannah was found dead last night. She was curled up on a mound of grass not that far from home. It would seem she has died of a heart attack or similar. I am devastated once again, and so upset to report this. i so wanted to get her home safe for Rachel and Simon, and I know how they will be feeling now. Plus their family. My heart goes out to all of you. Run free at the bridge dear Hannah. You were so loved girl xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have emailed the A4 poster and flyers to dekkaann, who is kindly forwarding them on to her friend who is helping look for Hannah. Thank you so much both of you. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you so much dekkaann. That is really lovely of you and your friend. I know Rachel and Simon will be so grateful. They are beside themselves with worry as this is so unlike Hannah. The place she has run from is only a short distance from home so she should be perfectly capable of finding her way back, and this is the worrying bit. Unless she has shot off, miles out of the area, she knows, and walks the area regularly with the family. She is also very fast, and a bit nervous, and they think unlikely to go to strangers. I hope there is good news soon, now that posters are going up. Hannah in all fairness has no ID on her so if she has been picked up, the finder cannot do much until tomorrow when the dog wardens are back on duty, or until they see a poster with the telephone numbers. Contacted a friend with dogs who lives very near, she spoke to owner and will go looking. Today's rain will not have helped the search.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hope it won't be long until lovely Hannah is back home. As Sable has said, please make sure you keep going back to the area she went missing from as so many of our 'lost' dogs return to the last place where they were with their owners. And, certainly, just before dusk or at the break of dawn is the best time, especially if she's nervous or is frightened by her predicament. Good Luck - come on Hannah - show your pretty face!

I don't think Hannah will be too far away from home but perhaps frightened to appear. Please keep serching in the area she went missing around dawn and dusk especially as that is when she may appear when you call her. Good luck and best wishes.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken with a very worried owner. Hannah has chased off after a hare whilst on a walk not too far from home, and has not been seen since dusk, on3rd October. Unfortunately it was just getting dark at the time, and owners were unable to find her. The area is very rural and she would know her way home if she has not gone too far and become scared or disorientated.  It is very out of character that she should not return. I am hoping that someone has picked her up for her own safety and is waiting for posters to go up with owners telephone number on. Or else waiting for dog warden to be on duty on Monday. Owners do think it unlikely that she would be caught very easily though. Have given advise and will email some helpful information. Where owner lives is on the borders of two counties, so both sets of authorities will have to be notified. Stay safe beautiful Hannah, until we find you. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
