Just so happy that Scrappy is getting home. Hope he gets a welcome present ---- microchip and collar with ID tag. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just called Scrappy's owner. The kennels have just rung her to say she can go and collect her dog and there will be no charge. Unfortunately she is too far away to collect him tonight as they close at 4 o'clock but she will be going first thing in the morning. I have given her my phone number and told her to call me if there are any problems. I haven't had any contact with the kennels  as yet so I am presuming another doglost volunteer has phoned them and appealed to their better nature.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I could understand them expecting a fee if they were rehoming a homeless dog that was in their care but why are the RSPCA demanding money for reuniting a dog with its RIGHTFUL owner?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Scrappy has been located but not re united. Found at RSPCA but they are asking money which the owner does not have. Owner reported theft to the police. But RSPCA wont hand over so in effect they are handling stolen goods.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So sorry to see Scrappy has been stolen. IT IS VITAL YOU GET POSTERS PUT UP EVERWHERE AND MAKE THIS BEAUTIFUL BOY TOO HOT TO HANDLE. You can print off his poster by clicking on to Dog Poster 1 at the top of this page, you must  log in to do this. Stolen dogs are often sold on from the car parks of pubs, clubs and car boot sales so make sure you get posters up there. Send copies to all vets and rescue centres and don't forget to inform the dog warden.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
