Linda, this is brilliant news, thanks for letting us know and posting on behalf of her owners.  Welcome home Kat and well done to all involved in reuniting her back with her family.  Hope she now gets CHIPPED.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Apparently she wasn't found running in the field, but was found caught in a fox trap the one where a door shuts on a cage!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Kat has been found!!!  A neighbouring farmer saw her running in his fields this afternoon and brought her back to the stables 30 minutes ago.  She smells a bit kennelly, so god knows where she's been for the past 24 hours, but she's safe and well and that's all that matters.  Thank you for all your help.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Do we know if there have been any different people around, any different vehicles, or anyone asking or paying any particular attention to Kat? We must face the possibility she has been stolen. The pubs really need postering as this is where dogs get sold on. get something on the local radio if you possibly can, and in all of your local newspapers. Poster, poster, poster, and make her too hot to handle !Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Still no news.  They've contacted all the local vets and dog wardens as well as the police, who as we all know are next to useless.  They've had hundreds of posters printed and they're sticking them up everywhere.  Someone must have taken her in???  I've told them to stick posters through everyone's letterbox in the area.  All rescues within a 100 mile radius have her details and they're posted on a rescue website.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Your poster of Kat  is available, and can be printed from this page by selecting Dog Poster 1 , but you must be registered and logged in to do this.  Please notify all dog wardens, police , animal shelters and vets, and leave us further comments  with exactly what has been done, and any sightings.   To leave comments, again,  you must have registered, and be logged in ( left hand side menu)  and then once on your dogs page, click by the blue cross where it says ’add a comment’. We will do all we can to help.   You need to poster widely immediately.  In case Kat has been stolen, get posters up in all your local pubs, car parks, supermarkets, etc etc , wherever people meet. Good luck in your search.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There is a real good chance that Kat is still around the area she went from. Most dogs do come back to the place they last saw their owners. find a safe place around that area and leave some of her bedding and clothing with your scent on, plus some smelly food such as tripe or pilchards. This will keep her in the area. Please try to return there yourself at break of day and early evening times when she will be wanting food and out and about. Hand out posters to dog walkers in that area and place posters everywhere even on the inside rear windows of your car. Good luck and hope to see her on the reunited pages soon.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Email received by admin containing all the deatails plus photo and this message :-   Please can you help my friends whose SBT bitch went missing from their stables this morning around 10.15 am.
She has never done this before.  The yard is secure, but she must somehow have found a way out.  It's very remote, accessed by an unmade up track surrounded by fields.  There is a farm and a few houses just past their stables.  The stables are a couple of miles from their home and Kat has only ever been there in a car.  She would not be able to find her way home back. I've attached a photo taken in 2002.  She hasn't changed much, just a bit of grey around her muzzle. She is spayed, but had a litter last year.
She was not wearing a collar.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
