Hi guys! Grissom was found yesterday by the lovely people at the Greyhound Awareness League near Glasgow, and returned to us this morning! He's lying at my feet now, curled up and dozing like nothing has ever happened. It's the Christmas miracle we were waiting for and I can't quite believe it.
Thank you so much for all your thoughts and support over the last few months, it's only angels like you who give distraught owners hope in times like this. I can never thank you enough, keep up the good work!
Merry Christmas!

I see on another site that there have been possible sightings of Grissom on the south side of Glasgow, owner going to look tonight. Good luck, hope he's home soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I agree to be honest. A man called me the other day saying he thinks he had my dog, but said that this one had brown marks on his face, and that he picked up the dog last year - not last month. I'll have to try again with the papers and posters. All the rescue centres still have his poster up so at least thats something... I wish we could get him home for Christmas.

I am sure someone must have taken him in by now. He cannot have just disappeared. How about another round of adverts in the paper with a picture of him? Sometimes people take a dog in and never think that their owner is looking for them.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hello,
Grissom is still missing unfortunately. We haven't had a call in about 3 weeks now so are absolutely desperate to find our boy. He was last seen in the Woodlands Road area so posters in that area would be a huge help! I'll email you one we've made if you leave me your details, or you can download a poster from this page which should give all the vital information. Thanks for your kindness, we really appreciate all the help everyone has offered!

Is Grissom still missing?  I work at Glasgow University (St Andrew's Building on Eldon Street) and would be happy to put up a poster. Lets hope Grissom is home soon.  Susan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, and thanks to Bo888 and Sable for letting me know about this Grissom sighting. A lady saw him when she was out walking tonight in an area he's been seen in before - not far from us on Partickhill Street - so we'll be flooding the area over the next few days. Hopefully we'll get him back before too long, I can't bear to think of him out in the cold!

Hopefully he is still around there and the best thing you can do is poster everywhere in the area, and search all the areas he could be sleeping, like woods, parks etc, also postering around there where he could be hiding in a den under bushes. SableLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have informed owner and she has reported that there have been several sightings in this area but nothing in the last two weeks.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Bo888 for registering and posting this comment. I will flag this up with Sable, the co-ordinator for Scotland so she can pass your sighting on to the owners. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I saw him sometime during September in Dorchester Avenue in Kelvindale. I tried to get him to come to me (because he was obviously lost) but he ran off towards the canal and Cleveden Road.
I've just read your poster outside Devonshire Gardens - that's how I ended up here. Anyway, I really hope you get him back. Best wishes.

Hi there Bluepaperdragons. First thing on Monday, please inform the Dog Warden who you will be able to contact at the local council offices. Then contact all the local rescue kennels for your area. As Grissom is microchipped, you have a good chance of getting him back. Contact all the local police stations, because in Scotland, a dog will often be taken there for the dog warden to pick up.Can we please have photo of Grissom emailed to admin@doglost.co.uk or sent by mobile phone. From there, posters will be made up and you can download them and print them off by clicking on Poster 1 above. Poster everywhere you can think of, especially in the area where he went missing. Hopefully the kennels will have him there when you call them on Monday. Keep calling every day to check. Good luck.As it is the weekend it is not easy to track him down the same.Best wishes.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
