Please look at a post I have just made for a dog found in Southern Ireland, States it is a rough Collie but I think it could be a Shetland sheepdog. Dog ID https://doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=168140

Has anybody lost a red collie/sheltie type dog with a collar and brass tag at the Greenway Was running towards Balsall Common way but then ran back towards Kenilworth. Won't come to us as scared.

I would recommend a search in the undergrowth. I have noticed Drone SAR are trying to get you pilots out tomorrow which us great. Did he have a lead or collar on which could yrap him in the bushes i am at work tomorrow but maybe getting a search party sorted to search the undergrowth. A thermal imaging camera would be best. They can be hired from Jewsons.
Colin
We drove there but we actually only live about 200 yards away and had been elsewhere first. We haven’t done a fingertip search but the size of the area (nearly 400 acres) perhaps would make this impractical. We have looked in the immediate area - as a sheepdog/collie he always stayed on the familiar path and didn’t ever run into the undergrowth. What do you think?
barann
Colin i am assuming you have been advised to leave items of clothing belonging to the person Finn is most bonded too and not his own bedding from where he was lost. Did you walk or drive there. Has a fingertip search of undergrowth on hands n knees been undertaken in case he is caught up.
Colin
Thank you barann for your kind offer. Many dog walkers have been looking but no sightings yet. Any further help would be welcome. He was last seen just inside the wood gate at the top of Church Drive. He is an old and slow dog so we suspect he has been taken but can’t be sure. Please give me a call on 07904999935 if you would like any further information.

Hi colin. I am local and would be happy to help you look over the weekend. I am free saturday afternoon and sunday. Please let me know if you need an extra pair of eyes. Is the place lost near the canal path at all. Was Fingal lost in the woods?Last edited: 2019-10-09 22:44:33 by barann

Yes, we have contacted the army base. The range warden has not seen him but is continuing to look. Thank you for your suggestion and for continuing to search.
