- From the BBC website: A dog which was freed after being found with his head wedged in a canal ladder has been given a new home. Firefighters rescued the terrier-cross, nicknamed Nelson, after the hapless hound fell next to a lock gate near Deykin Avenue, Birmingham, last month. Nelson was cared for at the RSPCA's animal centre in Weoley Castle while efforts were made to find his owner. He will now live with Rosemary and Mick Jackson, from Halesowen, West Midlands, and be a companion for their Labrador Hope you have a great life with your new family Nelson XX Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
