****Final Update****

Diesel has been confirmed as belonging to Jelanie Cheoke and he will be going home tomorrow after over a year of being away from his family! Thank you to everyone for sharing this post!

Is anyone missing this handsome boy - found near the gulf garage just down from Morrison’s. No collar or name tag but extremely friendly. South Kesteven Dog warden called and on the way - please call them for claiming him back - 01476 406080

****UPDATE**** dog warden has been and picked him up. His name is Diesel! He did have a chip which was registered to an address well over an hour away and a phone number that is no longer valid. She suspects he has either recently moved to the area or has been stolen to be used as a stud dog before being dumped. All councils across the country will be made aware that he has been found in case his owner comes forward and in the mean time he will be assessed over the next couple of weeks for re-homing. I’ve been assured that dogs are very very rarely put down and that with Diesels nature he will most definitely be re-homed very quickly. If you do know the owner, please ask them to reach out as soon as possible.

****UPDATE 2****

It looks like we have found Diesels parents. I contacted them first thing this morning and now waiting for a final confirmation which the owner will provide once they have confirmed all the details with the dog warden tomorrow. I will add an update tomorrow. Thank you for everyone’s help so far in sharing this post.
