Sorry its taken so long to post. He is fine and got the all clear from the vets so we were thrilled. Its like nothing happened and has made me value him more. I missed him/ We missed him so much during those 24 hours and I cant thank you guys enough. There seemed nowhere to go and at 1am sending that email to you I didnt hold much hope. When you sent the posters it made my heart ache with gratitude and i showed geogie the poster, he ate it, its the only way he can say thanks. So from all of us thanks again Jan and DOGLOST XXXX  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Really good to see this cute little lad home. He would have been noticeable with a docked tail (it's been illegal since last year) Hope he's not too distressed by the accidentLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

When I spoke to one of his owners earlier Georgie was sprawled on the settee (is not normally allowed on) and their son was sitting on the floor!!!  So we can guess he has truly settled back home and being spoilt.  When owners have come down from cloud nine they said they will post an update.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is fantastic news! I'm so pleased that this gorgeous little Rottie boy is back home safe and sound. I hope he's okay and not too traumatised following his ordeal. But what a clever boy to alert his owner when he heard him calling. That's Tank the Rottie also home and so we just need young Gunner from Tottenham back now. Welcome home Georgie and keep safe and close to Mum and Dad!

Mel, thanks for registering and updating us, as we discussed do poster the area he went missing from and post smaller ones through the doors.  Once the posters start getting put up hopefully you will get the call we are all waiting for.  Good luck.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

My baby is missing after being hit by a car. He bolted up Standen Hall Drive towards Burnsall Close in Harle Syke. He may be hurt, he will be terrified and we need him home if you have any info at all please call me. Georgie is a 6 month old Large Rottie and has a docked tail that went wrong so is still a little long. He is a little sweetheart and NOT AGRESSIVE! Please contact if found he urgently needs a vet Thanks Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

owners so sorry to see you have lost Georgie. It is vital that you contact all dog wardens and dog pounds both locally and over a wider area. Also inform all vets and poster as much as you possibly can to make maximum public awareness. Although Georgie is microchipped it is still most important you keep checking with local stray pounds in case the chip gets missed if he is scanned. Have you checked your contact details are up to date with the chipping company ? Also keep returning to the area he was clipped by the car in case he has gone into hiding near by. Hoping for some positive news of Georgie very soon xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to one of his owners and given advice, sending smaller posters and further info a.s.a.p. have asked them to register and leave us an update.  You will find a list of Vet’s in the area by selecting the logo ’Find any UK Vet’ just underneath Latest Missing photo on right hand side of page. We cannot stress enough the need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible.  You can print them by selecting Dog Poster 1  just above Dog Information (you must be registered and logged in).  Do please update us especially on any sightings and who has been contacted.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above other comments,  Good luck and hope he is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Inform the dog warden straight away if not done already. Local council offices will have the number. Then poster everywhere you can with the dog's picture and a contact number. Try to get some media coverage, like local radio and place an ad in the local paper with a picture and contact number. Good luck.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
