The caller was genuine, as Fiona has said, and her husband has spoken to him xLast edited: 2019-08-20 19:02:01 by Carolynl

Yes, they have decided not to pursue this any further and it is their choice and we should let them grieve in peace...but amid the comments was one that simply stated 'I understand but I also don't think the spaniel community will stop looking' Just a simple comment without adding pressure to Fiona and her family...should there ever be a spaniel come to light like Ziggy, I'm sure we won't forget and an amazing find for the family - I think they would be happy but in the meantime, it is also leaving the family in peace x

Thank you, Bo. Owners and searchers have been in touch with Network Rail throughout. Friends of mine who live there have been involved and helping all the way along. It is known who the message came from, and all is above board. Please, no judgement.
Bo
I think it’s up to the owners to choose and everyone else to accept their choice. Let them grieve in peace without criticism about “what I’d do”.

From comments on owners posts on Facebook they decided to accept that Ziggy had been lost forever and not to persue any further enquiries...... All very sad....

Been following on another post, owner is talking about ringing GWR but they need to ring Netwrok Rail as they maintain the tracks. There are rail tunnels near where Ziggy went missing, network rail can check these.

I think the owner needs to ring network rail...an anonnymous text message and being sent to collect the dogs collar from a gate next to her poster seems most odd and not a procedure network rail would have followed.
Carolynl
I've been following poor Ziggy and family on another post...Fiona has answered my comment and it does seem odd, have suggested getting in touch with the railway to see if any footage available or any buildings possibly nearby just to hopefully get some form of closure if possible or some idea of what occurred? x
Unless there's been further update since this morning? xLast edited: 2019-08-18 15:43:36 by Carolynl

Only collar found - no body - I would still hope she is still alive. What do you guys think? I wouldn't give up yet if my dog.

Thank you so so much. Another area eliminated. Now offering a reward for her return. Please keep searching.

No luck today, I covered a lot of the local area by car, then parked up in the next road along which leads down from T&M Commercials, searching extensively in and around several of the fields along that road.
