After emailing Jack's picture to the dog warden in Herts, she called back to say it definatly wasn't Jack. We've had a call today from a man up Cumbria way who went to a big auction this week, and after us sending Jack's picture up to him, he is confident it was Jack, he was in the back of a four wheel drive with a couple of spaniels. The vehicle belonged to some travellers, there is another auction on next week so the guy is going to get a bit more info if he see's him again. Dave is going to call Jayne later to update her fully.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm in the PE10 area and have just had a Jack Russell (Max) go missing (with Tessa the Westie) - stolen from our back garden. Whilst I may be a bit far out, I'll keep a listen out for any possible leads to your dog. Good luck with finding him. He's a beauty.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We've been in contact with a few people we know in the Ashfield area & have sent a load of posters to be handed out at any shows & in the area. Jack's picture will be in the Countrymans weekly again this week, should keep him fresh in everyone's minds in the terrier circles. We've also had a possible sighting from a warden in Hertfordshire who has a dog matching Jack's description, we're emailing her a picture so we can have a more positive ID,she got our number from Kay at Lurcher Search - fingers crossed, but not getting hopes up as it seems very far away. Struggling to type this as my labrador has decided to sit on my knee!!! Jack's mum.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The Lincolnshire Echo did a 'follow-up' article for us a few weeks after Peggy went missing....they telephoned to ask if she had been found and the reporter suggested he put it in again (may-be it was a slow news day, but at least it was in the Echo again) It could be worth a phone call....good luck!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

we have been at terrier show today handing out posters, someone was fairly sure they had seen jack at a show last week & that he would be at a show near Newark today - as we were no where near, a friend went & had a look, but didn't see him. Lots of people recognised the poster from countrymans weekly, so we are putting another ad in the next couple of weeks and will try & get in papers in newark and mansfield area following lead from today.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

no response from countrymans weekly yet - there was a report on local radio of a jack russell been found in Lincoln area & we've had a few calls about that but it had brown markings not black - will keep trying! Jack's mum.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owners father was stopped by another motorist today who had seen the poster in the back window of his car. The lady said she was pretty certain she had seen Jack being walked yesterday near Radcliffe-on-Trent RSPCA centre. Owner will go tomorrow to the RSPCA and put up posters in that area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The sighting in the Sleaford area turned out to be a similar dog but his markings were dark brown not black. Owner has got a photo of Jack in the next issue of Countrymans weekly coming out on Wednesday and also in the Sleaford and Newark papers.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner was in todays Lincolnshire Echo and has just received a call from a man who says he saw a jack Russell that he had not seen before running blindly as if trying to run away from something yesterday at Nettleham-just North of Lincoln. Owner is on his way to the area with posters and we have e mailed the poster to the vets, petshops, kennels and dogwardens in the area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to owner. The tail is actually not a long dock but only 2 1/2" to 3" long-the photo looks deceptive.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Photograph of Jack does not show his distinctive long docked tail. Lets hope all the publicity helps get jack back!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
