This is wonderful news, and a testament to never giving up, Bailey's owners worked hard and persistently for her return and that gift of a microchip worked it's magic again. A massive THANKYOU to the kind lady that found her, took her in and took her to be scanned, I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall. Looking forward to seeing the reunited picture. I am  pleased to see this at last, I knew she would get back home, the owners worked so hard to find her. They must be so pleased. Microchipping is so important.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Woooo hoooo.....this is fantastic news! Welcome home Bailey, so pleased for you Jane. And a very big well done and thank you to the finder and everyone who has helped in the search. Finder - I have let Jane know that your kind message is on site, she is going to have a look and no doubt will be in touch with you. Bailey is doing really well, settled back into things today and is as pleased to be back home as her family are to have her home! I was only saying the other day we needed another nice Essex reunited story.....here it is! More to follow please (and for the whole country!).  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi   Im the lady who found bailey I thought I would look at your site as Baileys owner had mentioned she was on there.   I just wanted to say a few words, Would you possibly be able to pass this on to Baileys owners.   I was so happy when the vet found she was micro chipped and it was a truly touching moment when she was reunited with her owner I found it hard myself to hold back the tears.   I couldn't stop smiling all day it made my year.   Ive read all the postings and I can see how hard her owner had tried to find her and the support she was given even when she thought all hope was fading,  this site is fantastic and as a dog owner myself it is very useful to know this is available.   I would just like to wish Baileys owners all the happiness in the world and Im so glad that a muched loved pet is back where they belong, maybe one day we could meet up for a stroll around the park with the dogs, its absolutely fantastice mail from the finder:  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi all - the news I have been waiting for came this morning.  Bailey was handed in to a Collier Row vets.  She had wandered to a womans house last night in Stapleford Abbots. It appears someone had kept hold of her and then she either got out or they dumped her. Thank you all for your support and kind wishes.  Words can't describe how I feel at this time.    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jane, I know it is difficult but really keep going with those posters! Poster power time and time again gets the results. You need to show whoever has Bailey that you aren't going away - keep the pressure up and make her too hot to handle. And the fact that you had her microchipped will only help you. I know you have no doubt covered loads of these areas already but anywhere where there are lots of people as well as the surrounding areas poster - the more eyes looking the better - supermarkets, shops, pubs, markets, car boot sales, other events, leisure centres, youth centres, business parks etc. See if you can get your local paper and radio to do another appeal for you. Bailey is out there, we've just got to find her. Stay strong. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The story should be in the Yellow Advertiser this week which goes all over Havering and I am hoping they are putting it in the one that goes over Barking and Dagenham. I will contact the Dagenham Post and see if they will run the story. Thanks to all that are keeping an eye out for her and for all the advice.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Great that she was featured in the Romford Recorder, have moved her up to the top as you have had media coverage so any one seeing article can easily find her on here. Have you had any calls or possible sightings since the article Jane? Certainly would be worth trying to get the Dagenham Post to do an article too, the more coverage the better! Keep going with the posters too.....it really is so often 'poster power' that gets dogs home....you need to make Bailey too hot to handle! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

To all that have posted a comment on Bailey's site.  Many thanks for all your support and for those that are keeping an eye out for her. As yet she is still not back and seems to have just disappeared.  It is in the Romford Recorder this week and now our only hope is that if someone reads it and has a conscience will hand her in or let us know where she is.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

YMCA park - I'm assuming that's 'Grenfell Park'?  The grassland beyond the park stretches out quite a way.  The river is very shallow so she may have crossed over and be exploring around the cemetry and the Chase fishing lakes.  Might be worth leafleting the 'Millennium Centre' at the Chase and also 'Eastminster Riding School' and 'Bretons Outdoor Centre' if this has not already been done.  Fingers crossed that she turns up soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thats a shame. Well done everyone involved in trying to find out! Baileys owners have been doing a great job, have contacted m/c company, dog wardens, kennels (incl Gemini) etc and also been postering the area. No news as yet, there was a possible sighting in Rainham Road South but no sign when owners got there. They have got the Romford Recorder to run a story, which is great, should be in Fridays edition....lets hope she's home before then. Owner is hopefully going to register on site so she can leave comments on Baileys page too. Stay safe Bailey.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Pheonix57, yeah it's daft isn't it .. anyway to do it you have to add the picture to photobucket or other photo hosting company and then you can put into a link on dogpages but don't mention DL or your post will vanish !Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well done Angus, was trying to figure out how to do that whilst putting a post on there. The site won't let me mention this site on there for some reason.

http://www.dogpages.org.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=176774There is a found dog on dogpages lost & found forum which could well be Bailey. I have spoken to owner and advised to contact RSPCA but is there anyone registered to dpages who could find out where this one is now? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi. Need to poster absolutely everywhere, lamp posts, shops, pet shops, local vets, anywhere that dogs are sold in the area. Hopefully someone has taken her in and they will see a poster. Inform the dog warden and check with them daily, and any local rescue centres. Visit if at all possible as she may not be logged, or get logged as a different breed. Inform the microchip company that she is missing. Talk to dog walkers and give them posters/leaflets so they can also be on the lookout for you. Check if there is a local vets that deals with injured stray dogs just in case. Good luck, she looks beautiful x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
