- We don't believe this is Basket, Charlie and myself have compared photos of the stray dog and Basket and the stray hasn't any white on it's chest (just a small patch near it's front legs) Basket has got quite a bit of white on her chest.
However I will keep an eye on the facebook posting (it wasn't clear which dog had been reunited when the comment was first posted but further comments have now been added) - 2020-07-09 09:02 Louise625
- Dog is NOT reunited with owner - it was the other dog they were referring to, the fawn one.

- There are a couple of Lurchers that I have registered on Dog Lost for the pound, I have E-mailed the links to Basket's owner for her to check out ( found dog 147299 and found dog 147296)
- 2019-06-24 19:29 Sylvia
- Please check this found lurcher. This one has white toes on back feet and white toes on left front foot. Picture of very very thin dog so be warned about that upsetting picture. But could she be Basket?
I can't see in your photo, the details of her feet.
Found 17 June Brickhill Rd South East.

- Charlie, so sorry it wasn't Basket, I really thought it could be ~ We'll keep looking x
- 2019-04-26 07:04 Charlie
- Sharon, thank you-startling resemblance. But Basket is less hairy. Still hunting for her locally, it is so rural here and so much prey about. Thank you so much xx it’s nearly been 4 weeks :(

- A SIGHTING!! Less than an hour ago in Newton (half a mile from last sighting on April 3rd!) Grey dog on the hunt in field. Please keep eyes peeled! Will attempt to send up a drone. Will keep you posted. Charlie :)
- 2019-04-17 09:56 Charlie
- Hi to all, no news or recent sightings. Very concerned we might never see Basket again. Is it too late for a tracker dog? Waiting to hear back from Loki’s owner and a thermal drone company. Such a vast rural area though. Wouldn’t she come home if she was so near? Heartbreaking. Please keep eyes and ears open for this dear dog. Charlie :(

- Try and get children on board in looking/searching. Poster in and on cars, poo bins, bus stops taxi firms Put posters in red post boxes for postmen to take back to the sorting office. Leave a human scent trail by leaving a trail of pee.

- Thank you so much to Emily and anyone who looked (and is still looking ) for dear Basket. The Wednesday sighting has completely thrown me: I have now learnt about how lost dogs revert extremely quickly to a feral state and how their behaviour can rapidly change. So: she could be alive and hunting quite close by. PLEASE KEEP LOOKING FOR HER as it is only through sightings that I could try to get her back. Everyone has been amazing. I have searched for 6 hours last Sunday and over 3 today. I took her son to leave a trail. Any other thoughts, please say, and please spread the word. Thank you so much x Charlie and family

- Charlie, it doesn't take dogs long to go feral as their natural instincts take over so they will be survival mode, probably keeping hidden up during day light hours and moving around during the night when it is quieter, dawn and dusk is a good time to search for dogs that have been missing a little while.
- 2019-04-06 12:17 Charlie
- Does anyone know or have any experience of how long it takes for a pet dog-much loved etc-to go feral?
- 2019-04-06 11:35 Emily
- That's all I know I'm afraid, I have tagged Dot on the Doglost Norfolk page so you can see the comments made. Sounds promising though. I think this warrants a proper search of the fields by the bridge.
- 2019-04-06 11:27 Charlie
- I’d love to know more about this sighting Emily? If she was only by the bridge she would be able to find her way home? Is it possible we could get more information about this? Charlie :)
- 2019-04-06 11:18 Emily
- Just received a report of a sighting on Wednesday 3rd April near the bridge in Newton, Castle Acre.

- So sorry there has been no news yet Charlie, please make sure you have plenty of posters up in the area as these will reach out to people who are not on Social Media, they really do work.
Have you thought about getting her mentioned on the local Radio Station and also approach the local paper and ask if they would feature her in their newspaper, again this this would reach out to a wide area and hopefully get the sightings called in x - 2019-04-02 12:34 Charlie
- Hi to all, no news on Basket I am sorry to say. I fear she may be lying out of view somewhere. She could of course be still on the run but no more sightings. A shred of hope left, thank god we have her son home-her gift to us x Charlie

However, anyone in this area, Little and Great Dunham, Beeston, the Lexhams PLEASE do what you can. Thank you all for your support. We have some hope left. Charlie x
