I have good news. The owners have confirmed that Sony is back home safe. He was found in the front garden of a house just off Sheen Lane, late this afternoon.

Sony was spotted running towards Richmond Park direction from Artisan coffee in East Sheen on Friday around 1pm/lunchtime. The girls were on bikes and knew it was Sony so tried to follow him but he just ran off.

I went out looking for an hour last night 1030-2130 but sadly no luck.

I’m heading up to Richmond Park from 0830-0930 with my dog and will keep an eye out for Sony

Another sighting reported 5 hours ago: on RSPCA page:”A friend saw him today around 1pm running over Sheen Lane towards Milton Road, SW14.”

Possible sighting yesterday: quote from RSPCA Putney page: He was seen running around the playground of Richmond Park academy yesterday lunchtime and according to my daughter she says she saw him in glendower Avenue yesterday afternoon after school. Hope he is found soon

We need your help, please share. *MISSING JRT IN PUTNEY/BARNES/WANDSWORTH AREA*
Please keep an eye out for Sony the tri-coloured Jack Russell who has gone missing in the Putney, Barnes and Wandsworth area.
Three-year-old Sony and his siblings were rescued by the fire service following a house fire at their home in Lewisham last week.
They were given oxygen at the scene and rushed to RSPCA Putney Animal Hospital for further urgent vet treatment. Unfortunately, when Sony was being removed from the van he bit the officer, managed to escape into the street and ran off.
We are desperately trying to find Sony and are appealing to the people in Putney, Barnes and Wandsworth area to try to help us. He has been spotted in the St John’s Avenue area of Putney and also in nearby Barnes and Sheen but nobody has managed to catch him.
Sony is a frightened dog so if you spot him please do not try to pick him up but coax him into a confined area using food and either ring the RSPCA on 0300 1234 999 quoting incident 1293-12/03/19 or call the local dog warden on 0208 871 606.
We really appreciate your help and support so we can try to find Sony as soon as possible. 🙏

A tweet from Radio Jackie says that Sony’s friend was killed in the house fire. Or sure but think they mean dog friend :(

Thank you Dougler. Sometimes when a dog is on the run they do give up and take a rest and maybe you will be lucky if you see him. I know they say aboid eye contact and throw food to the side until you can gain his trust. Seems a lot of people have tried to grab him which is what I would have done. Thanks again

Hi. There were several sightings of Sony in the East Sheen area yesterday. The latest was on Palmers road not far from Mortlake station, but other sightings on Connaught avenue and Clifford Avenue.

I live nearby and went out looking for him for about an hour between 7pm and 8pm but was looking in and around the cemetery near South Worple Avenue.

I am going to drive around East Sheen again this evening. Fingers crossed.

All I know is the owners are devastated. Said they are an older couple.
Am going to beg people via Twitter to put up posters. I am not local but was passing through Barnes / Putney and saw one poster in a bus stop.

I think owner is not on here. Was added by head office.
There was a house fire and Sony was being transported to RSPCA Putney for his safety when he escaped the van at the hospital. Quote from someone in touch with owners. I had a look at the one below and Sony is chipped but it’s hard to tell as the angle is the other side.

From a Putney sure

hello, I think I saw Sony last night, on South Worple Way about 7pm, he ran into Mortlake Cemetery, but was too fast for me to follow him. I hope he is found soon.

Sightings of this dog are previouy listed 141584 Worth looking at that page if you are local and able to look out for Sony. Lots of people have been trying to catch him and he was spotted as far away as Barnes SW13 on the running track also near the Marc Bolan memorial.
