Fantastic news. So happy for owners. It may have been that Cloudy was chased out of his territory by a more dominant cat. When this happens the chased cat won`t return home until they think it`s "Safe" enough for them to do so. Hope he is having lots of tlc, and some lovely food. Stay close now Cloudy:-) :-) :-)xxxxxx Thanks for letting us know how she was reunited. Look forward to update xLast edited: 2019-03-18 19:29:22

Have you thought of posting a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper in case he has climbed into a vehicle, as I believe many cats do this?
Findcloudy
Still nothing we have covered the hole area left posters in both local shops round here asked a police man goes round the area often told most people on street it's like hes vanished xx

The best time to search for a cat is when its quiet; late evening/early morning when it`s dark. Especially a cat like Cloudy, but keep safe. You could ask your postman/milkman if he/she has seen a cat matching Cloudy`s description, if you don`t catch them, leave them a note, asking if they have seen your cat. Don`t just concentrate on that street you mentioned, go further afield. A cat posted on this site as missing was found a mile away from his home. So you never know, Also keep rechecking outbuildings. Paws, and fingers xd,.

Try this. When searching, use he same deodorant say that you use on a day to day basis as Cloudy will recognize he scent, and your the one he trusts

I've updated to the street it's brecon road bb1 3jy. Thankyou for keeping me sane I hope deep down he is some were in a house that some one seems to think it's better for him being indoors than out and at some point he manages to escape he's born for the outdoors true hunter if I could of kept him in I would of for this reason but unfortunaly he won't stay indoors if some one has got him in side they will have a ear ache by the end of it thankyou xx

Hi again, Yes people feeding other people`s cats is quite common. I personally would`nt feed cats belonging to someone else for this reason The only cat I feed is my own. Some people do take a fancy to someone`s cat, and try to hide them in their house. I have known this happen, until they were seen by the owner. Keep following the advice. He has to be somewhere. If you think he is still in he vicinity, you could borrow a trap from Cat Protection (For a small donation, I think) Place inside his UNWASHED blanket, along with your scent too. I would`nt put any food in at this stage because of other cats etc. Wipe his scent on things leading up to the garden, where you have set the trap. Keep us posted. Paws xd.

Hi,is whitebirk the street or area please? If not the street, please could you update the where lost section with a more specific area. I will then do a share post in doglost north west Facebook group x
Findcloudy
Not any new males around that I know of we have suspicion some one on this street is feeding all the cats but we have checked and checked hes not been there for last few days even though he had been seen there last I have a good feeling some one has him in there house if hes still alive as hes been here for 3 years and never lost his way or gone away this long before, we've put posters in all local shops and most of the street know we are missing him it's like hes vanished from the area x

Sometimes if a cat is shut in somewhere, they can stay very still, and quiet, even though their owners are around. it`s because they feel so anxious being trapped, A cat owner who posted their missing cat on this site, only found their lost cat after checking an outbuilding a SECOND time. Is there a dominant cat in the area? As sometimes they will chase a less confident cat out of it`s own territory. However the chased cat will return when they think it`s "Safe" enough for them to do so. As for being fed by others. A neutered male cat that had been missing for THREE MONTHS, was found by chance by the owners brother only ten minutes from
his home. A woman has been feeding him fresh chicken every day. Paws xd.

We've been out for last hour shouting him every bit of the area no signs at all also went on foot earlier today every cat around but him

Check ALL outbuildings, including empty houses, and cellars THOROUGHLY, as some cats will hide in. or behind an object within, especially if timid. Check tree, and decking too. Ask neigbours to check their gardens too. Empty contents of the hoover onto the garden as his scent will be there. Put some tuna or chicken in his dish, and call him; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Place his UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe his scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract his attention. Walk around the area, holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. Someone may be feeding him (Common problem). When it`s nightfall, and you are searching, use a strong torch as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Ask around, especially those with children, as they can be very observant. Post in shops; post offices too. Hand out as many posters as you can; where, and when you can. Post a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper in case Cloudy has climbed into a vehicle, which isn`t uncommon for some cats to do. Paws xd. Last edited: 2019-03-11 16:57:07
