Oops! I meant to say that the appeal went out at around 12.50PM (not am!) and so in other words prime time listening and just before the 1pm news. Good Luck!

I've just heard an appeal re this pretty girl and offer of a ?1,000 reward from Ricky Gervais who telephoned into this morning's Jonathan Ross Show (the appeal went out just after 1250am on Radio 2). He then 'persuaded', Jonathan (a huge animal lover himself and close friend of Ricky) into matching the reward money pound for pound for the safe return this girl. Hope this radio coverage helps to get this 'baby' back home very soon.

rannoch, thank you for looking out for Manon. I'm sorry but the email service is not quite working yet, which is why you will not be receiving email alerts yet, or cannot find the send button. It should not be too long now, as being worked on as high priority. Thanks Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I only found the poster once I logged in. I only saw a dalmation on primrose hill today with i think a Weimeraner. Too big for a whippet. I will keep looking when i go and have someone else on the look out. I do hope you find Manon soon, it must be just dreadful, but this site is brilliant Jayne I am not getting emails for the S.E. Pamela Rose? Please can you check if there is some error for this? Thanks Now I cannot find the send button!  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

A description of this dog has now been circulated to the members of the Association of Cats and Dogs Homes ~ that means a huge number of rescues/animal welfare organisations/ vets etc are now aware of Manons dissappearance.  I will post her link n to several sighthound forums too.  Come home soon litle one.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

dymka - thank you so much for offering to help. That is really kind of you, and brilliant that you are local. I'm not sure if you are aware, but you can now print posters off yourself. Look towards the top of the page, just above where it says Dog Information, and you will see a button for Dog Poster 1. We are really grateful for this, thank you. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I live locally- if you email me some posters I will put them up at my vet's in chalk farm/kentish town, and give them to some neighbours who walk their dog on the heath and put a couple up at the local market.  Hope you find her soon.

Owners, please enquire at and send a poster to the Beaumont Hospital at the Royal Vetenirary College in Camden, the RSPCA Harmondsworth Hospital in Islington, the Blue Cross in Victoria and, of course, Battersea.  Poster the Heath, Golders Hill Park, Primrose Hill, Parliament Hill and surrounding areas in case someone has misguidedly taken her in.  I have found the management at the Spaniards Inn on the Heath very amenable to postering in these cases in the past. I will take some posters when I go to see my mum in Russell Square next week though, hopefully, Manon will have been found by then. Lovely name, by the way.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just spoken to owner and it appears two ladies have been concerned about her over the last few weeks-ie thinking she is too skinny-miss guided rescue attempt? Have given owner Whippet welfare number-we all know how good they are!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner is working like a trooper on this one - 200 posters up, police investgation and an article in tomorrow's Ham and High. Manon is a tiny whippet, very small, very skinny and very distinctive, she has grey eyes and needs to be home with her owner. anyone in the area who sees anyone with her, please call as there is a cash reward. pic is on its way.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
