By the way I would ask the school where he was possibly sighted, ask if you can poster in, and, around the school, Ask the teachers at the school to ask the pupils to keep an eye out for him. It seems possible that someone is feeding him near the school. Hope your boy is home very soon.

House cats who "Escape" will usually feel extremely anxious being out of their comfort zone which is indoors with their owners. A door he has access to, open wide, and stand aside, (Don`t block his entrance, or he may see it as a "Threat", and run off) (He may still be local as neutered) Put some tuna, or chicken in his dish, and place it about twice the width of the open door, and rattle some treats too. Place his UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave it about 2 metres from the open door,. Also house cats usually hide close by. Wipe his scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too: anything leading up to the garden. Try a squeaky toy, as it may attract his attention. Ask neighbours to check their outbuildings, bearing in mind that it`s the holiday season, he could have sneaked into someones house, whilst they were putting cases into their car, and is now trapped. Walk around the area, holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. A good chance someone is feeding him, thinking he is a stray, as not microchipped. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. when searching at nightfall, use a strong torch, as the light will reflect a cats eyes. And also when doing this wear the same deodorant, you use on a day to day basis, as he will recognize the scent, and your the one he trusts, You could also take with you, an air freshener, which you use daily, as it should remind him of his home comforts. Ask around, especially those with children, as they can be very observant. If you see him approaching, act as though him going missing, hasn`t been an issue, no eye to eye contact, and pretend you are doing something by the open door, or me may run off again. Hopefully he will enter the open door. When he returns I would get him microchipped. Paws xd Precious is home very soon.Last edited: 2018-08-18 08:36:02

Sorry to see that PRECIOUS is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
