You also need to be aware that your friend needs to ring within 7 days of the dog being found or the dog will be rehiomed, unfair though it may seem that is the law.

AshleySimone, your friend needs to ring Wigan council kennels on the number above. The kennels are not run by doglost, a doglost volunteer will have put the details on the site to help people find their dogs.

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
