So sad, presum there is still no news. What were the circumstances around him going 'missing'? Keeping fingers crossed.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Paula, Thank you all and i too am thinking of you. So nice when i check the site and see a new message. I cannot say i have given up but my hopes of that wonderful, happy, tearful reunion are way at the back of my mind now. I have done the last poster drop in Dec and had no response what so ever. I just have to imagine Barney curled up in front of someone elses fire to keep me sane. I wish you and your family all the luck in the world and as i said before if ever you are in the Cambs area Woodgreen is well worth a visit. Take Care all. Emma/Beanie. xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Paula, Bless U. Thank you so much for your message, i am sorry about Sonny not turning up and yes i too miss Barney sooo much as does his buddy Tom. I am still at Woodgreen Animal Shelter in Godmanchester and i love my job. I fall in love daily with the dogs and puppies which i give loads a cuddles to. The most frustrating part of my job is dealing with the lost & founds. So many annoying people phone me because their dog is missing yet they don't have any form of I D on them and i explain that how are people to know whose they are, the hurtful thing is that these are usually the ones that turn up and get their dogs back yet seem to care so little about them!!! The good points are that because of my unfortunate knowledge of lost dogs, due to my "B" being missing and my non stop efforts to find him my work collegues feel that i am the person to give advice and take details etc. I always suggest this site and all the others i have put his details on, the posters etc. It nearly always makes me cry when peopls are kind enough to call back to say that they have found their babies and to Thank me for my efforts and help. If only we were that lucky. Stay in touch and if you're ever in the Cambs area be sure to visit us at the Shelter, its a good place for a very worthy cause. Take care . So sorry to hear your sad news about your dad. Also very sorry not to see any good news about Sonny. I too have had no good news, a few calls but nothing that turned out positive. I have however decided on a career change, am currently a manager of a print house but soon to be working at Woodgreen Animal shelter in Godmanchester. I want to feel as though i am doing some good, if i can't help our boys maybe i can ensure good homes for all those that don't make it hometo their owners. Good Luck and Happy thoughts. Hi paula, can't believe that sonny has just gone without trace. I think it is very sad, especially because of his age. I really hope we hear news of him soon. Keep your chin up. Liz xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Paula, just to let you know still looking out for good news on your postings. I've not had any luck yet, haven't given up but am losing hope as time goes on. Of course when you hear nothing you think the worst but our dogs could easily have been picked up by someone and taken out of the area, hence no sightings or info, so with that in mind I wish you good luck. All the best. Emma.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Paula-there are some weird people out there! They have never known the bond with a dog-as such I pity them. Okay so no sightings at all-follows the pattern of someone taking Sonny in-maybe one of these mindless thugs thought it would be fun to remove Sonny's collar-has happened quiet a few times before-and a genuine person has then found him and thinks he is a stray and as such is looking after him. Keep looking !Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

jayne, already done that she hasnt had any calls either, and am sad to say that the mindless idiots in our area have either ripped down the posters or drawn silly messages on them, taken a few down myself cause the messages on them would have destroyed any owner cried all the way home cause one was sole destroying, just glad the dogs owner didnt seem them, am phoning her today because i am led to believe her dog was hit by a car, and is in a local vets will let you know. Been 3 weeks today and not a single sighting of sonny NOT GIVING UP THO Thanks PaulaLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've found Post Offices and Pubs to be good places for my posters as all post offices are renowned for gossip and less likely that silly people who have no idea what we r all going thru will remove them! Also church notice boards and local schools, most of them try to be quite helpful. If your feeling as i am it's the not knowing that rips out your heart. Everytime it rains or is windy i want to cry as i know how much he hated it, everytime i walk "Tom" my lab and i spot something ( even tree stumps in the grass) my heart races. It has been 2 weeks since any news but will not give up hope yet. Thank you for you kind words and thoughts.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Do you think posters are being taken down because someone knows something? Try putting them in shop windows or fish and chip shops where it will be harder to pull them down.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
