Another thought. Could Meg have followed a child to school? Contact the school to see if you can put up a poster or email the teachers/children there to see if anyone knows anything. Poster heavily along the route from your house to the school too - Meg may have started off behind a child but stopped following somewhere along the way. That happened to a local cat. A kindly house owner took him in and answered an ad that was eventually put in the local paper. Hope Meg comes home soon.

Hi, yes, many cats that go missing have got into a delivery van or car and hitched a lift to their next port of call. Was there a delivery van around that day? Ask neighbours. Then call the delivery company and ask where the vehicle went next. Most vans use gps now and can say exactly where they went that day. A local cat got into a van and jumped out at a care home a couple of miles away after medications were delivered there. A friend noticed a poster on their gates and told the cat's owners. He had been regularly fed by the care home people and they were actively looking for his family. Really hope your cat comes home soon, thinking of you

If you kept her in for a short while, she may still be in the area. Check all outbuildings, including empty houses, and cellars in case shut in. ALWAYS take a SECOND LOOK as some cats will hide in or behind an onbject within the building. Put some tuin or chicken in her dish, and call her. Rattle some trets too. Put her unwashed blanket into a clean container; your scent too. Leave in tyhr garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washiong line if dryl used towels too. Wipe her scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract her attention. Walk around the area holding an object with her scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. Someone mayu be feeding her (Common problem) Whenb it is nightfall, and your re srearching use a strong torch as the light will reflect a cat`s eyes. Poster around the area, and psot flyers through doors troo. Paws xd. Consider poting a LOST CAT in a National newspaper in case she is trying to find her way back to her previous address. Cats hate change of any kind that is hwy it is best to keep cats in for about two weeks, when you move house
