just to add to the dog wardens comments....unless this so called breeder is breeding unregistered stock (ie not KC registered) then he/she is wrong with their assumptions.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yes they seem to be pretty rare - but this is the second one we've had come in as a stray in the last 12 months. The dog warden thinks a breeder she knows of is letting them go once he's finished breeding from them. JulieLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

First time i'm seen one of these on the found board- hope he finds a deserving home for his 'retirement' home. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Julie for letting us have the latest update on this lovely senior boy. He sounds a big softie and so brave to let you tend to his sore ears and eyes, without making a fuss. A BIG thank you for caring for Snoopy and all the other kind people who were involved in his rescue. Hope and pray that he soon finds himself a lovely, new family. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Bless him! As a Bloodhound 'person' myself I know how sensitive these hounds are and I am so glad there is a happy ending to this. He will be in the best of hands with the Rescue and I am sure this dear old lad will have a lovely kind home in his twilight time. Good luck Snoopyhound.XXX.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi everyone. it's Julie from St Giles kennels here. Thanks for your concern about Snoopy. He is such a lovely dog, I fell for him big time. He was so scared when the dog warden first brought him in, but he is now alot happier. He's such a good boy with his medication too - I gave him his ear treatment and eye s yesterday and he was as good as gold, not even a grumble and it must have been uncomfortable for him. He's not actually gone to breed rescue yet (he was going yesteday but their transport fell through) hopefully he should be going this weekend. By the way he's not on the found section on our website now because i have moved him to the happy endings section. julieLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Glad to see this dog is now in breed rescue. I contacted a breeder last week concerning this dog and know she emailed other breeders and owners about him. She notified me the other day that he was now in breed rescue and will hopefully find his forever home. I did send an email to admin regarding this ( not able to post in found section?) but received notification that my contact with them was delayed - obviously no need to reply now :)Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Great news about this lad being taken under the care of Breed Rescue. I contacted St.Giles yesterday myself as he'd disappeared from their found board. Obviously they won't get back to me if they've been inundated!! Apologies St.G's. Hope the special home comes up quickly Snoopy!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hello Found dog 4510, now known as Snoopy, is now in the care of Bloodhound Rescue. He's a lovely oldie and needs some TLC as he's currently being treated for ulcerated ears and infected eyes. Hopefully bloodhound rescue will soon find Snoopy the special new home he deserves. julie..........message from St Giles-so many bloodhound peeps contacted HQ last week concerned about this dog-so glad to know he is now in the care of breed rescue.
