Game fair: I put some posters up of all the dogs on one page on sunday and they were taken down buy the time I went back on monday. My car was right near the entrance that eveyone walked past and I had lots in there so a lot more people will have seen them. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Please, Please, Please don't forget Pippin, Lurcher (whippet) missing from LS25 since 31st July last year, I am still searching for him and postering and postering and looking for the others while looking for Pip. He is my baby and I know he has been missing for a long time, but he's out there somewhere, someone knows where he is and I will not stop looking, so Please dont forget him while looking for the others as he seems to have been the first from this area and there are now so many he is easily overlooked by everyone, but I desperately want him back.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It is Selby Game Fair at Carlton Towers this weekend - 21/22/23/24 March - very popular with lots of dog people from a wide area - it must be worth getting some posters there or a stand with all the missing dogs on or something. Doglost admin may be able to advise best approach. Got these contact details of a flyer through our door. It is a SGF Ltd Organised Event - Tel: 01205 871354 / Mobile 07970 489605. For Trader Booking please visit their website - www.selbygamefair.co.uk. Am absolutely snowed under at work this week and have printer probs but would be available Fri am (good Friday) if any help needed to hand out flyers/posters at the event. I have today taken a list of all the dogs missing in the Yorkshire area and emailed the list to YEP & YP, Calendar, Look North, Radio Leeds and the Paul O Grady Show (thank you to hopeithelps for this suggestion). 32 dogs missing since 1st Feb 2008!!!! I am hoping that by lisiting them all individually it will make them sit up and take notice. If we all do the same hopefully we can get someone to take notice!!!!!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

In the Selby Times this week there was a couple of lines saying that 9 puppies were stolen from West Haddlesey ? said they were worth ?2750 and included 2 Jack Russell breeds (?not sure what they mean by that). West Haddlesey is just off the A19 only a few miles south of J34(I think) of M62. Yet more pups going missing in this area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yes they called us too as the police called the paper to tell them there has been a lot of dogs go missing in the area so they are looking to run an article which is brilliant news for us all. If they run it we should send the article to the YEP x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Gypsy mum, well done with getting the media coverage and fingers crossed it brings some good news for you and other owners in the area. Will contact Keelah, DL Press Officer, to see if she can be of any help with media. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just to let everyone know, Wetherby News are running an article this week regarding the amount of dogs that have gone missing in this area in recent weeks. They are also pushing West Yorkshire police to look into the situation.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So sorry Gypsy hasn't been found yet! Have you thought of contacting the YEP to make an appeal with her photo? Two dogs in Leeds 17 were recently featured in YEP and are now back safe and sound with their owners after someone seeing the article. It's worth a try! Come on Gypsy come home soon!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry Gypsy's not found yet. I know you're aware of Dennis LS25 Greyhound but there is another dog, Molly LS24 Springer Spaniel also missing from this area. If owners could make contact and poster for each other while they?re out postering for their own dog you would be able to cover more ground that way. Hope there's some good news soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

You cannot ever give up hope, my Pip went missing from between Sherburn and Church Fenton last July and I am still searching, just waiting for lurcher shows to start again then I will go and poster cars etc. Im sure gypsy has found herself a nice warm hidey hole and with a little bit of luck it wont be long now before she is found. Keep your spirits up xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Walked further south today - from S Milford over to Newthorpe - was then going to head back through Castle Hills wood, Huddleston Old Wood and Hall Garth but went wrong and rather than lose face in front of a farmer sat in his tractor retracing my steps ended up round Screeton! No sign though - will try and do original plans on Friday.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It's really heart warming to know that other people are helping. Holmfield vets already have Gypsy's details, as does Bill Parker (Selby dog warden). Gypsy went missing in the woods just south of Lotherton but before the dog kennels. Debbie, at the kennels, has also been made aware of the situation. Gypsy should know that area really well, and should be able to get home safely, but it's been 4 days now. Still hoping though. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Which area of Lotherton Hall did she go missing from? You're right - it's such a sunny half term there'll be lots of people about. Was going to have a walk over that way myself this afternoon looking for Dennis and will keep an eye out for Gypsy as well. I will take a poster in to my local vets - Holmefield Brayton and ask them to forward it to their other branch in Sherburn. I've saturated Lotherton Hall with posters in the hope that with it being half term, I can get everyone looking out for her. She so friendly she'll say hello to anyone. Her big sister is missing her like crazy. Thanks for the support. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
