What wonderful news. So happy to hear Daisy is back home safe and well. Poor little girl must have been so scared and hungry. I'm sure she's being pampered and loved loads! I'll take down some of my local posters today and hope we never have to see Daisy on one again!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC !! Saw this & was sooo pleased that little Daisy was in the blue blue blue..Yipee!! Have just spoken to Julie to congratulate her on getting her Daisy back. Daisy's family had worked so hard doing all the right things & contacting everyone they could think of about Daisy they deserved this good news. Also, as you said Jayne, the power of the poster. Well done Daisy's family & now time to relax & recover!! Lots of love Steph xx.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

WE HAVE GOT DAISY BACK!! I had a phone call this afternoon, a man nearly ran her over she ran across the road from the woods in the fields opposite.(next too the car park). When we got there I was searching in the first field. When I got half way down I was calling her and she began barking.I eventually found her in brambles very dirty. We took her to the vets who said she was fine but skinny! She had been there for 4 nights,we can't believe that we have Daisy back. Thank you so much to everybody who helped us,especially Aunt Stef. From Julie. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Jayne, it's good to be back, well, sort of - enjoyed the surprise holiday but not the acquired illness!! Just had another thought. Is the Harrow Weald bus garage still there? A bit away from where Daisy went missing but, if still there, perhaps good place to hand posters to the drivers. Not sure if the 114 and 158 still run but their routes did cover some of the search area. Also, (if it hasn't been built on) put posters in the recreation ground next to the garage. This really is taking me back down memory lane lol!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sadly, have been away from DL for most of this year and so much has happened in my absence! Anyway. lived in Harrow Weald all my life until 1974. I know the area has changed a lot since then but have you checked out Harrow Weald church (married there in 1973 and reception at Grimsdyke!) and the cemetery? I recall this being very large? Sensitive area for postering but you could hand smaller posters to workers. Perhaps the Church would also be willing to hand some out this weekend or at least put something on their notice board. Keep checking all the vets etc. and keep returning to where you fell as she could stay close. Good luck and stay safe Daisy.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I wasn't well last night so couldn't get out and poster, but will be leaving work early today and will poster Oxhey and South Oxhey. My daughter is a veterinary nurse so I'll ask her to put up a poster at the animal hospital.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Julie.israel good idea ,lets hope The Harrow Times runs the story this week. As much coverage as possible & then hopefully we'll start to get some sightings.Harleysmum, Hi , postering Oxhey would be great, I was going in that direction this afternoon but ran out of time. Thank you very much Aunt Stef for putting up those posters.I was up there this afternoon and really appreciate what you have been doing.I have already telephoned the Animal Welfare Trust in Watford and they have all the information. Thank you for thinking of them.I am hoping the Harrow Times Newspapers will run a story on Daisy next week, I spoke with them today.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Postered all around the car park opposite Grimsdyke Hotel. Saw your posters julie.israel. Spoke to some other dog walkers & they had heard about Daisy ,so word is getting around. Also popped into the farm shop & one of your posters is up there. I tried to ring Animal Welfare Trust Watford PHONE: 0208 950 0177 (1000-1600 daily) FAX: 0208 420 4454 to let them know about Daisy but will have to phone back in the morning to get someone to put her on their system. Fingers crossed this little one gets spotted soon. X Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you everybody. I have been to the golf course and the pubs and left posters, also to the hotel and garden centre. I am going back up later today to change the poster to one with a photo of Daisy.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Aunt Stef, thats brilliant because I am at work today and wouldn't be able to get to Old Redding until this evening. Now I can go and poster further afield, in Oxhey and surrounding area. There is also the college in Brookshill, it might be worth postering there. Julie.israel, I wish you the very best of luck in finding little Daisy, and may she stay safe until you do.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for the reply julie.israel.This is nearer to me than I thought. I am walking dogs in Old Redding this lunchtime, will poster car park & tell other walkers as well as looking out for her. Have you let the pub & golf club know as she might go towards these ,the pub particularly as there is often food smells wafting across the woods from there. Also there is the garden centre just round the corner, Bluebeckers restaurant, anywhere that a lot of people go is a good place to poster etc.Just so that as many people as poss know about this little poppet. Come on Daisy , sweetheart , show yourself. XXLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I drive through Old Redding on a regular basis so I'll keep a look out and poster surrounding area. A lot of dog walkers park opposite the Grimsdyke Hotel in the car park while they walk their dogs, so that would be a good place to poster. Hoping she stays safe and is found very soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hope this pretty, delicate flower will be reunited with her mummy/daddy very soon. Although we are in Watford, we are allways walking our two terriers, and will keep a look out. Daisy...find your way home baby.xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What a beautiful baby she is. I will be happy to poster the area. I only live around 5 miles from Stanmore so I would be delighted to help any way I can. Contact all the local vets as there are quite a few nearby, and also the Harrow Observer and ask them to run a story about Daisy. If someone has stolen her, maybe they will worry about neighbours noticing a new puppy after the article has been published. I hope someone kind has found her and will contsact the owner very soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
