No further updates from any authorities. Will see if I can obtain confirmation from the Council that this Saluki is indeed registered under new ownership with Finder as she has claimed.

Response from PC Wilson by email;

‘I have spoken to Molly and the Spring spaniel has been returned to the owner the other dog is still with Molly. The dog is chipped but the chipped is not registered. She has spoken to the dog warden and council and they are dealing with it.’

Hope Rescue have responded saying ongoing investigations.

Finder has responded saying cocker went back, alluded to a police case and that she wasn’t in pup following a scan.. She has stated the saluki is living with her

I have asked Hope Rescue, PC Wilson, the Council and the Finder for an update on both dogs.

PC Wilson has forwarded my email on to PC Elson who covers the vale of Glamorgan where they believe the finder is residing. They have had no reports of any missing dogs or concerns from the Llanharry area at this time.

The Council have today acknowledged my email to them also, their ref: 101004381595.

Hope Rescue left a message for their Warden to contact them on return to normal working on 2nd Jan. Hope are very aware of the situation but state the only one who can intervene are the dog wardens who are not back until 2nd January unfortunately but have asked them to make contact. Hope could offer nothing further other than they have had dealings with the finder before. They added to rest assured that they will be doing what they can within the law.

This link where finder has commented is still open for further comments should anyone be able to get an update from her (she is aware I have previously challenged her and got defensive) https://www.facebook.com/groups/PAWhelpingdogs/permalink/608362596173245/

**please note the information on this Page may be seen by finder since these DL links are provided on the same FB group and this info is in the public domain**

This is strange and worrying. The finders facebook profile, and in particular her profile picture, leads me to beleive she might not be the best person to care for the dogs. Does anyone know where she might live? Maybe a call to the dog warden? The cocker spaniel was supposed to be stolen 3 months ago but the owners don't want her back, now she's pregnant so there are pups to worry about too

I have listed this due to concern shown by myself - independent dog owner and DL Helper - and others over the inconsistencies in finder’s accounts whilst she has posted some information about these two dogs on a few FB groups (Llanharry Hub, Pets Lost and Found Nationwide UK (dogs) and PAW - Helping Dogs in Need as noted thus far), e.g. https://www.facebook.com/groups/272782783107366/permalink/513132475739061/

I have been in contact with Hope Rescue and Police Constable Wilson - I will now seek to obtain a Police Unique Refernce Number for this - local to that area plus emailed the relevant Council for the attention of their Animal Warden for verification and safeguarding of all parties.

The finder has made several claims including contact with previous owners of both dogs and a vet who allegedly did not admit the Spaniel in obvious medical need and states she has been given permission by them to keep the dogs; the Spaniel being returned once she has had the puppies. She has been advised by others concerned on the appropriate action to take and claimed she has taken some of it but shuts down or becomes abusive when challenged.

Thank you for taking the time to list this found dog and ensuring the safety of the dog.
Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
