Elsa looks amazing. What a transformation. Everyone involved should be very proud of themselves x
LindaT
It`s lovely to see what good food, good care and lots and lots of love and TLC will do for an animal that was most likely within hours of death. I am still hoping tat whoever was responsible for the state Elsa was found in and who had probably abandoned her to die, will be found and punished. Does anyone know if the authorities are trying to find that evil person/persons?
joenya
Beautiful Elsa the only way is forward for you gorgeous girl be happy and loved for ever sweet heart xx
sukimax
Love to come on here just to see Elsa every day,It makes you feel better just to see her, With all the cruelty going on it warms your heart just to see how well she has progressed with the kindness of people, Thank you to everyone who has been there for her. xx
Georgy Porgy
Watched the video. Such a happy sociable dog you can't help but love her. XX
LindaT
What a lovely video and the latest photos are wonderful, Elsa looks so different and it just goes to show she had been starved. She didn`t stop wagging that tail of hers all through the video. Thanks for sharing, I do hope her foster carers are the ones who are going to be her forever family ;-), but whoever Elsa is destined to be with they really are going to have a lovely dog as part of their family.

The photo of Elsa lying on the rug surrounded by comfy bed/beds shows how relaxed and well she is becoming, her expression says it all really :-) Well done to her carers, you really are stars for all that you`re doing and it must be rewarding for you to see the changes; we see the most dramatic change as we get these periodic and welcome updates whereas it`s more gradual to see on a daily basis, but looking back at Elsa`s first photos it`s remarkable to see the power of the spirit to survive, in action. Amazing work all round xxxLast edited: 2018-01-16 07:15:34 by LindaT

Donation made by phone direct to vets towards Elsa's ongoing treatments, including in lieu of my friends' two dogs Christmas pressies :-) I can imagine that Elsa looks on her procedures as lovely fussing compared to what she knew in her past!
Folly
Amazing. Awesome. Wonderful. A million thanks to those who have helped this girl.
LindaT
That`s very trusting, amazing after all Elsa has been through that she seems to take everything in her stride, she really is a star and whoever is lucky enough to be her Forever Family is going to be very lucky indeed :-) Just lovely to see, thank you so much everyone xxx
sukimax
Oh my Goodness doesnt she look the Belle of the ball, Party girl, who would have thought she would have recovered as she has done, What awesome rescuers and fosterers you all are, Go Elsa Go, Look at that face, XXXXX
DogLostGillyP - Administrator, Head Office
Elsa was invited to a party and clearly got involved.
LindaT
Such a lovely photo, I keep looking at Elsa and seeing a dog who is relaxed and putting on weight slowly but surely; thankful that to my mind this probably means no underlying health issues? I wonder what is going through Elsa`s mind as she gazes at the mesmerising fire from the comfort of her special mattress-bed ( complete with headrest .. what true bliss ) She really is an amazing dog who, from all the update photos, looks to be a very gentle and loving girl. On another note I agree with Jasper that it hurts to think of all the thousands of dogs and puppies that are probably in the same desperate state as Elsa must have once been. Thanks again to all who are caring for Elsa and for keeping us updated :-)
DogLostJasper - Area Volunteer, Somerset
To see her here on her soft, cosy bed and enjoying the warmth of the fire, is heartwarming and is nothing short of a miracle that Elsa survived. Makes me feel so sad that so many dogs will never experience such simple things and will only know a cold shed at the bottom of garden. Bless you Elsa, and those who care for you.
fionap58
I'll never understand the hearts or minds of someone who buys a dog like this and then doesn't even care enough about it to give it food,or give it to someone who will, and would rather allow it to die in agony. Look at that poor miserable dog before she was made well again. Whoever did this should hang their head in shame
Jane
This brought tears to my eyes...xx
janiejewel1649
Well just look at you now Elsa? Sending you ((((HUGS)))(xxxx
An inspiration to us all. The person.s who abandoned her will get their comeuppance hopefully, and thanks for all who have been taking care of here:-)xxx

Bless her heart xx what an amazing girl Elsa is, despite all that she has been through. Thank you to all the wonderful people who have cared so much for her & shown her the love she so deserved. Her will is I think an inspiration for all that you can get through some pretty tough times & come out fighting despite what life throws at you. What a truly brave girl who was determined to survive. Thank you for posting these wonderful updates & heartwarming photos. Sending big hugs to beautiful brave Elsa xx & thank you Elsa xxxx

Elsa has a lot of love to give and it`s obvious by the photo that her foster carer is happy to receive it :-) You can`t help but smile at the sight and knowledge that Elsa looks to be one of the lucky babes .... just wish there wasn`t the thought that there are many more out there going through what she has ben through. But this is Elsa`s story and it is a heartwarming one, and one to show there is hope against all odds xxx

What lovely manners Elsa has, she is sitting so patiently which says such a lot for a dog who has been so undernourished! I`m sure this last couple of weeks have been the best she has ever known, more love and gentle care than she ever imagined humans were capable of. Says a lot for her character. Thank you for the continuing updates on Elsa, they are very much appreciated :-) xxx
BigGSDPatlucky
So lovely xx
Mel
This picture has made my day! So so happy to see her loving her life again, things were nearly so different. Thank you for sharing her pictures and for everyone who had nursed her back from the brink. Hope she continues to make such good progress. Enjoy your pressies Elsa big hugs xxx

Heartwarming videos thank you so much, onwards and upwards now for Elsa, she is amazing, as are all those who have dedicated themselves to getting her back on her feet and are keeping her safe and well. Happy Christmas to you Elsa, and to one and all. Animals are just incredible, they don`t look into a mirror and see what we can see, she still has such a long way to go to full health but you can see how well she feels in herself. Incredible :-)
DogLostjenny4 - Area Co-ordinator, West Hampshire

LindaT
It's lovely to see Elsa out in the fresh air, amazing after her inability to even lift her head 11 days ago! Obviously Elsa is still extremely underweight beneath her warm fleece but all the love and TLC she is receiving is bringing her back to life. Thank you to all who are caring for her, your dedication prooves there are far more good people in this world than the evil scum who allowed Elsa to suffer as she clearly has done. Onwards, slowly but surely, beautiful Elsa :-)

Stay Strong Gorgeous Elsa xx
I DO Hope Her Owner/s are 'tuning in' to Her progress - I DO Hope that they have a really Horrid Christmas & New Year - & that they are racked with guilt over what they have subjected poor Elsa to -
OR Had Elsa perhaps been dumped elsewhere / strayed from Home & been in Survival Mode for a long time - then found Her own way to where she was found ?

It`s simply amazing to see the progress in each update photo of Elsa, she really was so lucky to be found when she was and to have received every ounce of care and love, thank you to everyone who has been involved in literally bringing her back to life, I hope there will be no long-term organ damage from her terrible starvation. To see the photos on the Blog for Dogs is heart-breaking but heart-warming as time goes on.I hope the police or authorities are trying to find who left Elsa, she must have been carried seeing as she could barely stand on her own, so surely someone or some CCTV would have picked something up in the area? I will send a cheque to help pay for Elsa`s care ( I don`t do online sorry ) so am guessing either direct to vet if anyone has address or to Animal House? Keep getting stronger Elsa!
#stoppettheft
i hope it is OK to post this ?

Pupdate...

Yay Elsa is on her feet,, very wobbly legs and had to be helped up but practice makes perfect. No sign of tumours or underlying probems so probably all down to sheer neglect. Elsa is now drinking on her own and eating her miniscule portions of her gastrointestinal food. Well done girl <3

DogLostWestie213 - Area Co-ordinator, Berkshire
UPDATE AS OF 07:56 10/12/17
This morning we are slightly more optimistic. Elsa started to improve around 1am sitting up slightly and then even managing to eat a gravy bone she had refused all food until then which wasnt surprising but worrying nevertheless.
3am she managed a spoonfull of gastro diet and this is continuing slowly.
The amazing team at Your Vets are keeping us updated as our whole area is now snowbound and it is unlikely Lin can get into her today or the vets get out.
Please keep Elsa in your prayers she has a long road ahead but we will fight with you every step of the way.
Thank you all for your amazing response and support.
Love Elsa and The Animal House Rescue.
Georgy Porgy
Thank goodness this poor dog was found before all the snow today. I really hope she will pull through. X
