Still thinking of Maddison. It must be so difficult to have an unresolved case - despite it being one of the worst times of my life, I was grateful that at least I knew what happened to My Beagle, Gert. Still don't give up hope - people have been reunited with their dogs after a long time. rxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What an awful time you must be having trying to throw some light on as to what happened to Maddison. Could you actually ask the landowners wife if she knows what happened to him? You could always say it would be better to know what had happened even if the news was bad, than to keep on searching. Having said that, don't give up hope, he has probably been bought/adopted by some unsuspecting family who are spoiling him rotten. The best of luck in finding him! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, sorry to take so long to respond, but i cannot bring you any good news. the calendar item did not bring any leads, and to date I have not had one sighting. I know jayne was going to send her details out to the notts area, but a complete zero. My dog bertie, no longer likes cars when they pass close to us, and if one passes on the lane when we are out walking he just wants to hide. it suggests to me that even if they were not taken directly from their kennel, someone has picked maddison up and that is why Bertie takes a dislike to passing cars when they are close to him. he was possibly the lucky one who they could not snatch from the road side!! the only other odd thing to happen is that the local landowners wife, from about 10 yards away did not take a new bitch we have adopted, with identical colouring and markings, to be maddison. she instantly said, oh you've got a new dog!! again you could read into this that maddison has been found on their land, which is used in areas for shooting and trapping, but who knows. her disappearance and lack of sighting has baffled everyone in my village!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well lets hope the publicity helps the other dogs get back because they will do a follow up if it has a success story!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

doncaster star editor is not willing to do anymore coverage of lost dogs at this time or an article on doglost.co.uk and the work it does. seems you have to hit the editor on the right day to get help!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thats right team together to get press interest! Why not go bigger and go to the Yorkshire Post? Their are so many now from the area covered. Look for postcodes begining S, DN, WF, YO, LS and HG and contact the owners and unite together! Maybe even approach Calander and Look North.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I just want to say thanks to those of you who are helping. I have had nothing on Maddy so far. doncaster free press were not interested in running an article. I have today spoken to the Doncaster Star who is running one for rosie and jazzy, trying for a big dog lost feature and get maddison featured if they will do a follow on. I am going to try trax fm. will let you know how I go on. bertie my other beagle is only now beginning to come round, after 5 weeks of being on his own.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
