So sorry Anthony you are having to put up with all that whilst trying to a job and counting the days you will be home to see Zeus.No wonder you don't use facebook.Thank you for the lovely comments about myself and the Doglost site getting all dog's reunited is our main goal in doing what we do all for the love of dog's xxxxx
Ignore the idiots Anthony - sadly FB has more than it's fair share of low IQ people and theyre best blocked and forgotten about before they move onto the next situation they can have their own views on. Pity is the best emotion for them. Your dogs safe and will survive - some amazing devoted people did a great job finding him. That's it. Rejoice.
Hello everyone, I must write this as I'm inundated with people why I ain't on Facebook and not putting my side of events online. First and foremost I will address the idiotic suggestions that poor Adam and Jez were in on a dog knapping scam and had Zeus tied up for two weeks before releasing him and supposedly reaping the rewards. Absolute garbage, these sour minded folk who have over imaginary minds must go seak help. These guys are without doubt true heros and when I meet up I'll be in awe of there sheer determination and skill at finding Zeus. I tried for 9 days solid on that Fell, covered the same ground twice were Zeus was found, but never found him, these two did ! That I'm totally grateful for.
The morning started with Zeus first Fell walk on Place Fell, at times I let him off the lead when there was no live stock or anything to distract him or put them at any harm. As suggested I should of had him on lead at all times, not my scene, a dog needs freedom, and with having dogs for 30 years I train my dogs well. The time of his disappearance he was on his lead and having been spooked took off at speed I couldn't catch, lead trailing in the distance. I searched that day and night on the Fell with only water and no more provisions so basically kept up there in hope I'll find him. The next morning realised this is serious and I needed to stay up there until found. I returned to Teeside to pick my wild camp kit bag up that would allow me to stay in the fells for at least 4 days. Once I returned to side farm I parked up and began my accent to the summit, shouting Zeus all the way, asking fellow walkers if they had seen him, but to no avail. I set up camp just off the peak and used my map to mark areas I will cover in them days up there, so never to leave no stone unturned. I walked up and down in and out of caves on the Fell walked the waterfalls that were being created due to heavy rainfall, but absolute nothing, it was as if he had been zapped up into thin air.
After 5 long days and nights up there I had for my own safety come down and readjust. I went back home got help from family and my partner Zaneta who came along and spent days looking for him. I contacted my breeder of Zeus(Michelle) who put me onto Sarah Toweres who lived in Cumbria and helps out with missing dog situations. We had various conversations and I was suggested that we put this on social media. And use this site Dodlost to update on progress. During this time and having spent time up the fells,it became apparent that this was big news and had generated a lot of interest from kind hearted folk wanting to help. Luckily two of them were Jez and Adam. I had to go back to work and to be honest against all odds hoped Zeus was alive and had found someone who took him in, I could not give up or think the worse !
On arriving in Aberdeen at 14.30 on the 14 September 15 days after Zeus had gone missingI had a call I was only dreaming of and it was from Adam, he had found Zeus along with Jez. I wanted to drive straight back but would risk my job as I had took an extra week off so had my brother Dave go and get Zeus from the fabulous Sarah, he did and now we have our boy back in his loving home.I've faced timed him most nights just to reassure him I'm here and won't be long coming home.
I ceartainly could not of been reunited with Zeus if it wasn't for all of you who helped in the search for Zeus. My big thanks go out to the wonderful Janet from this Fantastic site, Sarah who dose an incredible job all off her own back, amazing woman. To my new pals Adam and Jez, you are my family now, ok boys 🙈

Hi guys, just to save the hundreds of messages I will put it on here. Myself and Adam Briggs purposely went out this morning to find Zeus, I'd of been out earlier but I've just got back from my holidays. Anyways we followed the track up to Place Fell and were sure we heard a large dog barking. We pinned it down to the Rooking Gill area under Steel Edge. We summited Place Fell and Adam being a fell runner zig zagged all the crags up there and I looked in the underneath while we shouted and whistled of Zeus sometimes hearing a faint bark. We then went back on ourselves over to the top of Rooking Gill where we heard the barking and some other walkers also confirmed that they had heard the same coming from the bracken. Adam took the rhs and also ran down the middle of the gill and I took the left hand side through the high bracken, shouting and whistling as we went. Then Adam came across Zeus near the bottom of Rooking Gill. And shouted me over. He was very scared, his lead was severely tangled in the bracken and he could only move about 2 feet. Once I produced my chicken sandwich I had saved for him and he guzzled down to protein bars he perked up then we got him to the stream where he drank water. He has lost a lot of weight and is skinny but seems absolutely fine in himself. I walked him down and we stopped at the post office to.make the calls to the family and I put him in my van and took him to Penrith where he is on the way to the vets for a chexknover and to get 2 ticks removed. Myself and Adam thank you for all your kind messages of support and thanks from everyone 👍👍💪💪💪💪
Fantastic news. What a lovely reunited pic of Zeus, and Co. Stay very close now Zeus:-)xxx
Thanks Nicky Claire Pat, them two gentlemen in the pic are the heros without them Zeus looked a few days away from certain death. How a young dog can survive that long is remarkable Well done Jez and Adam 🍻

Great update. Stay safe and very close from now on xx
So wonderful to read this brilliant news
Stay safe Zeus
Were do I start, I set off to work upto Aberdeen this morning knowing I will never see my boy again that feeling will live with me forever, sad time indeed. I reached Aberdeen at 2 pm and had a call off Adam and Jez, they confirmed they had found Zeus alive, my hart stopped a beat as you can imagine. I had spent 9 days solid looking under every nook and cranny on that bloody Fell and these two boys got him straight away. I lost faith in humanity until word got about about young Zeus. My faith is restored and I can't thank you all enough, from the bottom of my happy hart I love you all. Adam, Jez you are my heros, along with Sarah, Janet, Michelle, Amanda Noreen, even Tim from Drone SAR who made his way up the Fell with his drone. Without you all I couldn't find him and for that I'm in debt of your kindness.
I'm going back to Patterdale in two weeks when he's fully recovered to personally thank Adam and Jez and Sarah . This site is as good as it gets when you have a loved one go missing , keep up the good work Jan you are an angel. So from myself and Zeus we love you to the stars and back xx

Thank you Reynard that was kindly done for myself by Tim from Drone SAR
Update: I was contacted Sunday morning regarding a DDB for sale in the Wirral area. Some guy had it on his Facebook page for one day and said the dog was 3 years of age. He stated he had no papers as was in need of a quick sale ! Anyone of you on Facebook or any other social media sites please keep an eye out for these type of adverts as this may turn out to be a good lead. Police are informed and I will update on any progress. Thank you all for your dedication in looking for Zeus , Tony x
