Very sad news. You may know what happened but if not the vets should be able to tell you. Our vets always share sad news on their facebook page and look after deceased animals for a week or more to give owners time to get in touch before arranging cremation.

I am sorry if your cat has passed away but the explanation of the circumstances isn't working for me, what sort of person who works at a vets would not scan for a microchip? also the quick and irretrievable disposal of the body seems very convenient! Just saying

Oh no! I am so very sorry for your loss of Rambo. I can empathise and sympathize with you, having had our own cat pts recenly (Old age) It`s an awful time for any pet owner. Night,. night Rambo, sleep tight, and have fun at the bridge with the "Rainbow felines" RIP+ God Blessx A~~~Candle~~burns for Rambo Run free (HUG)X

You could may maybe put Rambo on Cats Protection`s Wall of Memory with a loving tribute, and photo if you wish. It may ease your pain a little. ( Have done this with my own cat)You can have a private memory if you wish. Re: password: thus only you can see it. Last edited: 2017-09-09 08:51:58

I am assuming that all outbuildings checked, including empty houses, and cellars? Very odd! Could it be that he has got into a vehicle? someone posted that up to 80% of missing cats could have done this
Is someone else feeding him? I would still put scented items in the garden just in case. Also wipe his scent all over the exterior of the garden. Is there a dominant cat near you,? As sometimes they will chase a cat out of it`s own territory, and they can become disorientated, and feel lost.. Though they usually return after a few days or so. Poster around the area, and put flyers through doors too. And ask around. Also ask friends, and neighbours to share as well as DL. And perhaps post a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper. Paws xd.

Dani - please check out this link to a third party website for some things to try:

I have uploaded a couple of photos from your Facebook post so that shares can go to local facebook pages (including DogLost Cornwall) and posters can be printed to help spread the word - hope that's OK.Last edited: 2017-08-25 00:48:20 by GeoffA - Area Volunteer - Cornwall, Scotland & Northumberland
