Great news.x Lovely reunited photo.

Great news xxx
Ines
maybe worth mentioning: she got priority Treatment on the plane. Having been on a diet for 5 days she was less than 8 kg and was allowed to travel on the passenger room on Hannos lap :-)!
Ines
Carla is recovering well and already giving Xabi (the other dog) a hard time again...she is the boss :-)...no doubt about that!!!! Tomorrow Hanno and I fly to London to take down all the Posters we find and would love to invite everyone who can make some time available for a drink. Please get in contact with us via the UK mobile number,- we will send you the Details directly. Otherwise we might end up with a Facebook... :-)! Hope to hear from you...Best Hanno and Ines

Hurray for microchipping! Are there any other lost black dogs in the area? It's probably unlikely it's just that I wonder if Priory Lane was a different dog? I can't imagine her leaving the railway line under the gates and going back again under the gates - e.g. At the Vine Road crossing.
DogLostSharon - Social Media Volunteer
Brilliant news. X
Ines
Further comments: I managed to find you due to Carla being microchipped, all I had to do was scan her! She was crying when she could hear us but couldn't see us but was quite happy and excited wagging her tail on approach. I can't give you the exact location due to data protection but she was in Putney along the train lines from the main station.
The gentleman that found her and I climbed the fence and popped Carla in a dog carry case and passed her back over the fence between us, she seemed quite happy to be helped! We had a little cuddle while I waited for the chip information to come through, she's so lovely and affectionate despite the tough life you tell me she has experienced!
DD
What a lucky girl!! So pleased for her and for you all!!
Ines
Natalie is on duty until 7 am tomorow. She responded via mail yo my wuestions: She was found by an elderly lady and her son in Putney who heard a dog barking at the end of their garden and their own dogs were barking to. The ladies garden backs on to the Putney rail line and that is where little Carla was so she was very lucky to have not met a train while on her adventures! The son - not knowing how Carla would react to himself - called the RSPCA for assistance which is when I attended and together we managed to get her back to safety together!
Mary
This great news. Well done to the dog walker who spotted her. What a brilliant effort by those in the local area and others further afield. So pleased Carla wasn't another victim of the railways.
Ines
for the reunification Foto you need to wait...Carla will fly back with my husband tomorrow. She lost a bit of weight and is now near 8 kg...small enough to travel in a bag on the lap in the plane :-)! She is currently at the vet's as she had some minor injuries like having ripped of one of her claws. Mayself, our 4 children and her friend Xabi, who Looks exactly like her but golden cannot wait for her to arrive!
Skywalker99
One very lucky (or very streetwise) dog!
Ines
I asked Natalie to share more Details with all of us on this page...I hope she will!
Ines
I can...good. I just contacted Natalie from the RSPCA, who brought back Carla. She was contacted my someone walking their Dogs. Carla was still caught between the fence alongside the railway and had travelled way beyond Barnes Station East. I think I understood Putney Bridge.... maybe you can draw conclusions upon lost Dogs behaviour from that Information. If I find out more I will let you know!
Skywalker99
Ines, you can still update with how, would love to know....the page does not close down.
DogLostSandra Watt
Ines - yes all the details will be in the Reunited tab so just go as usual and add anything you want and hopefully a reunited photo :)
Ines
Can I still update you as to how or does the page then Close down completely?
DogLostRiverlady
Fab news glad she is safe. Will take poster down. Lots of dog walkers round here plenty of parks.
DogLostSandra Watt
Ines - to change status to REUNITED - just update the details and add the reunited date, that will then show Carla as reunited - absolutely delighted that she is home :)
Dougler
Ines. Is it worth changing status to Found? Just in case people are still looking.
Dougler
Ines/ Hanno....so pleased that she's been found. I can only imagine how happy you guys must be.

Good forward thinking Ines. I'm just looking up a French registration site. It's a worry when you are abroad and something goes wrong. Glad Carla is safe. She will be so happy to see you again.
DD
OMG!!This is such good news. My daughter has been sick with worry and regret after seeing her on priory lane!! Such a relief. Thank goodness for this lady who found her!!
OliviaS
WOW, the support Carla and her family have had from this community has been fantastic!
Lashram
Petlog will register a foreign visiting micro-chipped dog on their site for a small fee. I would imagine other sites will do the same.
Ines
CJ (see early postinng) fortunately managed to have her registered at Pet Log
Lashram
Just to add a note for the owner. When we take our dogs to France, which is about 4 times a year for a month at a time, my dogs have two tags on their collars. One is for our British address and the other is for the France address. I'm not sure whether you can register a foreign micro-chip here in UK but it may be worth enquiring about.
Ines
My husband confirmed: ITS HER!!!!!!
Ines
Waiting for news myself,- I only know her name: Nathalie! As soon as I know more I will let you know!

Ines. Now that posters and the word is out there you will hopefully get a sighting. If Jenny and Tiga are available then, they will rush to you, as they are to a sighting of another dog today. We really want Carla to settle and hopefully somewhere safe. People looking out for her is great, but actual searching is likely to make Carla feel hunted. Fingers crossed Carla will show herself soon.
DogLostRiverlady
Put poster up outside house. Last dog that was lost in barnes was Sidders.....3weeks a westie trotting from Barnes Elms...the chip shop.....and bins by the river. He was well fed but grey with dirt.
Skywalker99
From K9tracker's facebook page:
Please be patient everyone - I am not ignoring you - I know lots of you are waiting, I will contact you when free to help.
I am dealing with at least 2 separate dogs that have been missing a while now and just got a sighting of one of them - so dashing with Tiga to track. Everything crossed!
The weather is cooler now so we can get back out.

Jenny is aware of Carla and she will help if she can.She will always give good advice even if she can not physically track.

nalamissing
Really hope that she is found before Sunday. It must be awful to have your pet missing in a different country....it was bad enough having mine missing in the same postcode!
Ines
Let me start the day with saying a big thank you to everyone. I contacted the print shop and Annie and Maise will pick up the posters today to distribute them. As a reaction to all the activity that is going on Hanno received one sms yesterday. Altough it "only" confirmed Carla being at Hart Lane Crossing on Thursday, at least it shows, people are becoming aware. I will fly to London next Sunday to try once more to find her myself. Her and I are very close....she used to follow me around everywhere, even at home.

Post some leaflets in the post collection boxes and the postie will take them and put them in the depot or keep an eye out on their rounds. If anybody wants smaller flyers of 4 to an A4 page then contact Jayne for my email address and I will format one for you to cut up and distribute. Save ink and paper. I will do my thing of emailing businesses. Can someone do a "thunderclap" for Carla?
DogLostRiverlady
Also contact Friends of Barnes Common let them know. There base is Vine rd......but alleyways leading to White Hart Lane. Have Battersea been informed? Im not well at the mo....or Id be outside looking.
Ines
I contacted White Hart Lane Vets last Friday. They put the poster up and have all information. Also I just created Carlas Facebook account. As I am not a digital native I am struggling a bit in designing it meaningful. You might want to try if you find her.
DogLostRiverlady
Next-door forum is aware and circulating with locals. Its being tweeted locally. Has anyone contacted White Hart Lane vets?
Dougler
Ines. Yes, print shop I visited was the Yellow Print Shop in East Sheen, near Tesco and Waitrose. The said it would cost £8 for 100 A4 or £15 for 200 A4, Black & white. The had a pack of sleeves which looked to be 100 @ £1.99.

They would need you to email them the poster and they can print from that. Email is: sheen@yellowprintshop.co.uk
Ines
the Richmond Park wardens said they would be surprised if she was in the park as they have not had any reports whatsoever and usually the network works very well and they are contacted immediately. Also I talked to Animal Search Uk and found out that I already initiated the multimedia search on Thursday night,- I wasn't aware in my state of panic. The search team costs about 1000 pounds for 2*5 hour search,- I am not sure whether this is the most efficient way of searching for her,- especially as they do not have a search dog. I think K9tracker would be better but I unfortunately don't hear back from her!

Have you been able to contact any wardens in Richmond Park yet? I'm not sure if a number but as Dougler says they won't like the idea of a dog in the park and may well help with searching...

Also a poster at the cafe just inside Richmond Park at the Roehampton gate and get them to alert the staff.
Bec
I can start the list... Barnes overland station, 33 bus stops on south circular (both sides of the road in Priory Lane area), at the notice board at the entrance to Richmond Park (Roehampton Gate), any obvious places along Clarence Lane...
DD
Ines there are stables in Richmond park, Robin Hood gate. Also there is a golf club at roehanpton gate in Richmond park.
DogLostNina
Posters need to go into plastic covers and secures with gaffer tape or some waterproof material because of rain...not into trees with drawing pins.
Ines
WE ARE SO GREATFULL FOR THE SUPPORT FROM ALL OF YOU. I managed to get in contact with a teenager who lives in the Barnes area via my UK friend. She is very trustworthy and would be willing to put up posters for a bit of pocket money. Also she would go to a shop and have the posters printed. As I need to give her instructions, please confirm: shop to go to for printing is Yellow Print shop in East Sheen. Where should she distribute the pictures? not knowing the area it is very difficult for me to envision what exactly has not yet been covered.
Listing on animalsearch.co.uk was done last Friday. Also Barnes Pet shop distributed the poster via their email list. Also I am in contact with One stop all dogs lost and Stolen and Missing pets. K9Tracker has not yet responded, Pet Detectives charge 85 pounds an hour,- I am not sure wether they would help at this stage of the search. Next steps for me would be to a)as soon as I know which instructions I should be ginving to the teenager ask her to start with the posters b) set up a facebook page for Carla c) get animal search Uk involved in a multimedia campaign. Anything else I can do out of Frankfurt d) try to find out about the stables in the area. Carla was around horses a lot...maybe she follows their smell through the park as it is familiar.
Bec
We don't have a printer at home in afraid and he's already on his way...

Looking at the map Charfield Avenue where she went missing from is close to East Putney and Putney stations, think posters need to go up there. Has the Froebel College been inforemd?Last edited: 2017-07-24 11:32:01 by nalamissing
Dougler
I will print off a couple of posters and put them up in my local (Mortlake) Train and Bus Stations. Whilst I think this is maybe a bit far away from the sightings....it's possible we may catch folks who are just slightly closer to Mortlake than Barnes.
Dougler
Agree that doglost volunteers won't expect payment, but i'm guessing a gang of teenagers may need an additional incentive :-)
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Thanks everyone for pulling together for carla. we just need a few posters up in strategic positions...ie barnes station and local parks etc...too many and the council will remove as fly posting. even if locals could print a poster from site and put in their car window as a moving advert....and local shop windows.
nalamissing
Even if you do not use the animalsearch.co.uk facilities for publicity it is worth registering her on the site (it is free to regsiter, I put my Nala on there). They will also share on social media without charging which may reach a different audience to doglost shares. I hope that Jenny may be able to help with Tiga. Have Battersea been informed?Last edited: 2017-07-24 11:08:49 by nalamissing

Pack of 100 plastic sleeves so the print doesn't run in this rain....is £1.99

Note. Print quote is b&w
Dougler
Yellow Printshop in East Sheen will do 100 A4 for £8 or 200 A4 for £15
DD
I walk my dog everyday and am in the car around the area so will keep looking for her and spread the word. My teenage daughter ( who saw Karla) has told her friends to keep looking for her too. Douglar...sorry was replying to your 9.28 message...about posting on local Sheen FB page...did not see the other message.
Dougler
Is there a list of local dog lost volunteers that can be mobilised for a search and poster campaign?
Mary
Ines & Hanno. You could set up her own public Facebook page for Carla, 'Help Find Carla black terrier missing from Barnes' or something similar. At the moment we are waiting for Carla to show herself, so posters and social media are the key. DogLost volunteers do not expect payment and are happy to help an owner in need. If you can't find anyone local with a printer to print off DogLost posters I can print off some and drop them off on my way back to SE London tomorrow. You can send posters from the DogLost links below and people can print them out themselves or save tham on their smartphone.
DogLostNina
Are there any teenages with time on their hands with a bike or a dog who would like to earn some pocket money who could help put posters up
Dougler
FYI: Skywalker99's post has a minor spelling error - but looking at the website, these guys definitely need to be contacted.

FROM ADMIN

These people will charge over £1,000 to put up posters for a day....and will probably not be able to make it immediatley so best to push forward finding someone local.

IMPORTANT: You need to report your pet as missing before you contact them, the form is here (requires setting up a login).

Jayne - Do what? Ask local print shop if they will give discount? If so, I can do that but might be better if Hanno can as I'm not sure how much they'd want to spend etc. As for asking East Sheen FB if they will put up a post, again I can but would need to know how much Ines & Hanno would pay per person per hour.....and we'd probably need a plan to break up the search area and requesting posters in specific locations so the teenagers weren't just wandering around messing about and hoping for easy money.
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Thanks Dougler could you do so please? The company listed below will charge an awful amount of money...Is anyone able to email local companies and request they put up posters in their premises?
Dougler
Also worth asking a local print company.....such as Yellow Printing in East Sheen, if they will give you a discount for a large number of posters. I'm thinking you may need hundreds in order to cover the search area.
Dougler
With regards to people to help poster....and search....I wonder if it's worth asking to put a post on East Sheen's FB page, asking if there are any local teenagers/ undergrads - who wanted to make a bit of pocket money....

They already have a post up about Carla - but they might entertain putting up a 'Want to earn some money?' post as well.

Hanno organized access to a bike yesterday. I will continue research and emailing out of Germany and try to find someone who helps putting up pictures. As we do not have any local contacts it might be difficult. We would definitely pay someone an hourly wage (maybe a dog walker?) if they were prepared to help us with the pictures. Does anyone know a person who could be interested in taking up that job? Hanno is only able to spend a limited amount of time searching for Carla today as he could not take another day of from work.
Bec
Good point Dougler.
Hannover, you would like a bike you can borrow my husbands from 5 Eleanor Grove. He works from home so go and knock on door if you need it..

Dougler
Hanno. Do you have access to a bike? If not, might be worth getting one (A Boris bike would do) as it may make the job of covering some ground easier.
Dougler
Hanno....and definitely worth following up on Bec's suggestions. I have cycled that area and drove around yesterday, Priory Park Lane could very well be a good area for her to lay low....and it's proximity to where she went missing may be a blessing.Last edited: 2017-07-24 08:16:44 by Dougler

When I spoke to the Network Rail engineers working on the track near the dual level crossings near Barnes station, they said that a small black dog had been spotted crossing the track on Thursday night around 6:30. They confirmed this and advised that the dog was not hit but it was registered as a near miss and that the drivers of the next 2 trains were advised to be aware.

Hanno - I have a couple of ideas.

1. Put up pictures at ALL of the local train and bus stations....there are a LOT of commuters using the train stations especially, and maybe somebody heard something about a sighting.

2. Today is bin today (for my road at least), it's possible that the bin men might disturb Carla if she's in hiding....is it worth asking them to keep an eye out?

3. Definitely worth putting up posters near local schools....lots of parents with kids who are out & about the local area

4. I'd mention it to the folks at RP - Sure they don't like dogs that aren't on leads, but i'd imagine they'd want a stray dog picked up - definitely.

5. Definitely worth going into the Bank of England Club, Roehampton University, Roehampton Club, The National Tennis Centre, Rosslyn Park RFC and The Priory....and ensuring that they know all about Carla and ask them if you can put up some posters - at strategic points like entrances.

6. Is it worth trying to get some local help with the posters? I can offer to poster the area around Mortlake, Barnes Bridge and Barnes but unfortunately not today or tomorrow as i've got prior committments.

7. Is it worth contacting local professional dog walkers? Ask if they can keep an eye outLast edited: 2017-07-24 08:41:45 by Dougler
Mary
BTP may have passed details on but Network Rail is 03457 114141. They can tell their drivers and workers on the tracks and also check if they have found any deceased or injured dogs on those sections of rail and where they would be taken to and if scanned for a microchip. It is horrible writing this but many dogs are killed on the railway. Do not check near the railway yourself, apart from your own safety Carla may follow your scent to the very place we want her to avoid.
Ines
I contacted British Transport Police Office. Would that be the right contact for Network rail? Ungortunately I have not heard back from K9Tracker. Bed is placed in the garden. Anything else we can try to do?
Mary
Lost dogs normally travel in a triangle until they settle somewhere they feel safe. There seems to be a triangle but we don't yet know her safe area. I hate to bring this up but has Network Rail been contacted. Also if Carla could still be trying to find the garden she is missing from, make sure she can get back in i.e. leave the gate open and some bedding to settle down with in a sheltered spot.
Bec
For your tweets I would add #richmond #wimbledon #roehampton and #Also worth alerting wardens/ vets in those areas.

Richmond Park is also a possibility but so big - I would call the wardens who could be very willing to help as they are not keen on dogs on the park.

Bec
Sounds like you have covered all the keys areas Hanno, I'm sorry I'm not in Barnes to help.
After hearing that Thorne St was Thursday I think the chronology makes sense. After Thorne St and then the White Hart crossing she would have exited at Vine rd and travelled through the green down to Priory Lane. She may have spent some time in the woods on that field so it could be worth looking there.

Hope you don't mind if I make a suggestion if you are up late/ early... as Priory Lane reaches the gate, there is a path on the right hat leads to Palewell fields and Sheen woods. You could park near Palewell park. The field and woods there are very quiet and would be a good place for her to sleep without interruption.

There are also some cul de sacs west of Priory Lane, have you done those? I would knock on doors and ask to check their gardens.

Just a short update on my search today: starting from Hammersmith bridge, I walked the residential areas down to Thorne Street and went south, White Hart Lane, Vine Road, Priory Ln incl the sports centres, Palewell Playing Fields, the north-eastern gates to RP, the surrounding neighbourhoods, through Roehampton Lane. Then covered to the East between Putney Heath and S Circular. On my way back to H'smith, I learned (I) that the first sighting on Thu night was actually at the railroad crossing on White Hart Lane, and (I) that she was again spotted at the very same crossing Friday night, heading East.

I have put up around 30 notices on my tour and also left pieces of our rods' carpet at various locations. Given the chronology, it is becoming more and more difficult to assess where to focus on in our searches.

In any event, all your support and input is greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
Dougler
Just spent about an hour touring the roads east and west of Putney park lane. As well as a quick trip to the south side of Richmond park. No sign.
Ines
6 pm
Ines
Thorne str was Thirsday,- we were able to trace back finally
Hanno
Thanks, Dougler. I am currently screening the area east of Roehampton Lane, going N-S block by block.
Dougler
I'm wondering if the search area should be the residential roads to the east of the A306. It would mean she'd have to cross a very busy road but probably worth a go.
Last edited: 2017-07-23 17:23:17 by Dougler
Ines
Hopefully!!!! Posted a possible route she could have taken earlier,- she came from Chartfield Ave
Dougler
Looking at her route.....could she be trying to re-trace her steps back to where she came from in West Putney?
Dougler
Ines. Ok....so in that case it looks more like;

Thursday: 1830 Barnes Station area - specifically crossing the tracks near the double level crossing.
Friday: 11:00 Thorpe Street/ White Hart Lane
Friday: 20:00 Heading up Priory Lane Towards Roehampton Gate

This does make more sense (not that dogs need to make sense) but as Bec noted, it would seem odd that she was doubling back.

Saturday was very wet, so she may have been laying low for most of the day, and maybe heading out to explore more this evening. I drove all around that area today and didn't see a thing but there are LOTS of places she could take refuge and plenty of places to try and scrounge some food.
Ines
wtt timeline: Thorne street after further in depth research more likely Friday!
Bec
Could be other way around too of course if sighting was Friday before Priory Lane. It would seem odd for her to cross the South Circular twice given she would probably try and avoid it - but there again more good options on the White Hart Lane side so possible....
Dougler
So....rough timeline could be.

Thursday: 1830 Barnes Station area - specifically crossing the tracks near the double level crossing.
Friday: 20:00 Heading up Priory Lane Towards Roehampton Gate
Saturday: 11:00 Thorpe Street/ White Hart Lane

I suppose she could be doing a loop and maybe need to look in the Barnes Bridge area & the footpath along the river.
Bec
If there is no way of investigation I don't think we can rule out White Hart Lane area and footpaths - there will also be more food there.
Ines
I did try to find out immediately,- this is the response from Saturday (quote): 'I don't know when she saw the dog, probably this morning.'
Dougler
Ines. Bruce is right...we need to determine if the Thorne Street sighting was Friday or Saturday. Is it possible to contact whoever emailed that information?
DD
Priory lane sighting was Friday around 8pm, 100%
Ines
Soghting time cannot be verified unfortunately
Bec
Re your post/ email update below (Saturday 22nd, 11am) is it possible to find out the time of sighting? Was it Friday or Saturday... this would make a big difference .
Ines
Friend of mine I was staying with said : she could have gone down Chartfield Ave, footpath to putney park lane into crest way crossing the hospital grounds continuing via clarence lane, time of spotting on Priory lane unfortinately unclear and not possible to verify
Bec
The White Hart crossing sighting was Thursday at 615pm if that helps join the dots.
Bec
The White Hart crossing sighting was Thursday at 615pm.
Bec
Hi there. Was the Thorne St sighting on Friday or Saturday? It's not clear from the post on doglost when it was, but if it was Saturday it would indicate this as a priority search area... my husband was the Barnes sighting. It was at the White Hart Lane crossing and she ran away along the side of the tracks in direction of Vine Rd.
If she managed to dig or find a hole in the fence there are foot paths that leave that area close from the Idle Hour and come out at Thorne st/ Sainsbury's area.
I am not in Barnes today or tomorrow - but if the Thorne st sighting was Saturday I think it's important to look around those footpaths...
Bec
Mary
Ddonelly - alerts have already been sent by Admin to TW9 & SW15. Hopefully when there is another sighting Admin will bump this listing, so it goes back to the top.
Dougler
Mary. If you're right and it's likely that she's laying low during the day and exploring at night, that would explain why most of the sightings have been in the evening. I'll look to go out again this evening - I'll drive pretty much the same route I did today which is essentially all the streets near Roehampton gate both on the Priory lane side and the Roehampton Uni side. It's due to rain this afternoon and we know she doesn't like the rain so she'll probably been even more active once the rain stops around 6pm. Thankfully it's due to be mid-teens temp tonight so at least it's not cold.

The other thing is that around here, bins are collected Monday and many folks put them out for collection tonight. So it's possible she may have an increased chance of finding food tonight.
DD
Admin I live TW9 , could you share the poster to your members in sw15 and tw9 as we are very near the area. My daughter saw Carla around 8pm near Rosslyn Park. This was friday night and I understand from other sightings that yesterday she was seen in barnes so she is sticking around the area. Walking my dog again this afternoon , will keep a look out. Also worth contacting Medivet on Chalkers corner as they are open 24/24. Hope Carla is found soon. Last edited: 2017-07-24 11:54:20 by DD

Poster is updated,- my husband arrived in Heathrow. @Mary: any way of contacting Jenny apart from her website?
Mary
Douglar, Can I just say what a brilliant job you are doing. I think it likely Carla will stay hidden during the day, but getting posters and the word out there is so important.
Skywalker99
I es, if Jenny is able to come and track she will need something with Carla's scent on, so your husband would need to keep something back.
Dougler
I have just driven all around the area of the latest sighting. Spoke with the gate staff at Bank of England and Roehampton club. Left contact details. I also drove around some the housing estates and Roehampton University. Sadly still no sign.
Ines
Number updated on poster, As I have a horse myself and carla usually joined me when riding the smell might be familiar to her. Also I Left a message with k9tracker.
Mary
Skywalker99. From earlier comments I believe Barnes Station sighting was thought to be Carla. Priory Lane is the other side of quite a busy road but still very close to Barnes Station. There is a wooded are by the station so she could make her way back there to shelter. There is also an open grass area, where dogs are walked but there are busy railway lines that side of the road. There was also a possible sighting in Thorne Street that would seem may complete the triangle

Can you update new UK mobile number:-

Dougler
I've tried to add a post to Richmond Parks FB page, but think it will need to go through their vetting process so may take a while to be loaded but nearly 40,000 people follow that page.
Mary
Ines. If you contact all the local stables, the riders being high up may well spot Carla. With the half marathon, Carla will go to ground I would imagine. Make sure the organisers and Police are aware. There will be security in the area for this event.
Skywalker99
ADMIN, worth noting that Carla's owners do not live near where she was lost. Do we know the timing of the sighting of her running up Priory Road, and has the sighting at Barnes station been ruled out?
Mary
All the clubs mentioned below will have bin areas and people picnic in the park. You could consider contacting www.K9tracker.co.uk. There is an online form to complete. If Jenny is too busy to come to track she will still give you good advice. Hopefully the next sighting will help establish a pattern. You will need something with Carla's scent on for Jenny's dogs to track. Carla will be in survival mode and even you will need to look away from her if you see her and not call her name. Talk softly and drop food for her but otherwise ignore her. I used to live in the area so know it well but am not near enough to help. If you shorten the comments 'where lost' to include, road name and area missing from, last sighting and put 'if sighted do not approach but call owner immediately on 07922 574262', before printing new DogLost posters. Hand out posters to dog walkers and put as many up as you can. If you or someone local can hand out posters to vehicles queuing at Roehampton Gate before they open tomorrow morning that may bring in sightings.
Ines
My husband is on the plane now,- equipped with posters and blankets of hers we could leave at sites she was spotted. Thanks so mich everyone for your help.
Dougler
I think theres a half marathon in RP today....so that will increase the number of potential spotters.
Dougler
Ines. Theren't many pubs etc around that area but there are 2 or 3 cafes in the park itself. If she made it into the park and got in through Roehampton gate at the top of Priory lane, there's a cafe quite close and no doubt they'd have bins out.

Dougler
i will head out around RP and the surrounding area to search

If she has indeed made it as far as RP that would be great news. There are loads of cyclists, joggers, dog walkers etc using the park. Definitely need to poster the entrances, and all the car parks/ cafes. Plus this also gives us something of a pattern of movement which may indicate a general direction for her which could potentially lead to predicting where she's headed.
Ines
I updated the poster with our new UK mobile number +44 7922 574262. Before she had been living with us for the last 3 years she was rescued from Spain. She hopefully remembers how to find food. Are there pubs/restaurants in that area? She would probably go for dustbins etc.
Mary
Ines is there a UK mobile number? Where Carla was last sighted is relatively safe i.e. going away from the railway lines and busy roads, so would be good if she stayed in that area. Park vehicle Gates are opened/closed at dusk and dawn, which is the most likely time to spot her if she made it as far as the park. Would be worth speaking to the people who open and close gates, so they are aware Carla is missing.
DD
Worth contacting priory hospital, Bank of England sports centre, national tennis centre, rosslyn park rugby club and putting leaflets in Richmond park. Will do tomorrow x
DD
My daughter and her friend saw her running from upper Richmond road towards Roselyn park rugby club. They saw her carry on running on priory lane towards Richmond park. There are a few places on priory lane where she could hide, I will pm posters to them. She was running in the direction of roehampton gate. This was last night, Friday.Last edited: 2017-07-22 23:31:29 by DD

Put posters in post boxes for postmen to take back to the sorting offices.
Ines
We talked to many people on the street leaving our number, and contacted all vets. posters are currently being prepared, we had to travel back to Germany today. However, my husband will fly back tomorrow and distribute posters.
OliviaS
Great that there has been sightings, are there any posters up in those areas, you need to also reach the people not on social media and posters are a must. Lots of eateries on white hart lane, could she be sniffing out food. You could also try alerting local taxi companies, postman/woman, people who are around the streets. Hopefully she will make an appearance once the weather improves x
Ines
She absolutely hates rain,- does not go outside at all when it rains,- not even for a short walk! Thanks for looking for her, she would definitely be hiding.

Hi. Just been out in that horrible rain. Cycled all around White Hart lane, South Worple Way, Thorne Street, Barnes Station, Barnes common, Barnes high street etc et. No sign. I asked the staff in Orange Peloe if they'd seen her as it's close to Thorne street and they have a dog bowl of water outside and I asked the retailers at the farmers market in Barnes but no joy. I am back at home now but have a few chores to do in the area and will definitely keep my eye out in case I see her.

The only thing that struck me as I was cycling around is that she's quite possibly taking cover from the rain, and may also been quite weak and so taking the opportunity to have a rest out of the rain. I did try to look under as many cars as I could but it's a nearly impossible task given the potential search area.

Hi. I'm going to head out for a search on my bike. I live near White Hart Lane, Barnes, Mortlake.....will try the tow path as well.
Ines
Thank you!!!!
Mary
Would also be worth checking Blue Cross at Putney and making sure that Battersea Cats and Dogs Home have a missing report.

Ines, if your dog does not know the area you really need something with her/your scent in the garden, and if feasible a scent trail from the sightings back to the house (diluted pee is good). This may help her get back.Last edited: 2017-07-22 12:24:14

Just got this e-mail: Someone said your dog was seen on Thorne St in Barnes, he ran in front of the car and she got out to try and get him but he ran away. Someone else said you must call all the local vets in the area because that is where people always take a lost dog. The vets are White Hart Lane Vets, and there is one on Church Road in Barnes and one in Mortlake called Medivet.

So your dog is alive somewhere in Barnes! If you are still in Barnes, go to Thorne St and search there, White Hart Lane vet is very close to there.
Ines
In the meantime I managed to get access to a better picture of Carlas. Maybe that helps:-(!

We are pretty sure now that the dog that was spotted in Barnes was Carla. This is 2 miles away from where she disapoeared. Not knowing the area at all she could be anywhere,- not having any orientation at all! We will try... however, low hopes :-(!
Skywalker99
Have you left something with a familiar scent (her bedding, your dirty thing) in the garden? It will help her if she is trying to find her way back
Ines
Thank you so much for your help,- hope she wll show up soon!
Dougler
Hi. I've had a cycle around the area. Unfortunately didn't see her. However, asked a few people walking dogs and they all said if they found her they'd take her to the local MediVet. I also spoke with the rail staff working at the level crossing(s) near Barnes station and they confirmed that a small black dog was spotted on CCTV last night around 6.30 - not confirmed as being Carla but the dog was spotted crossing the Richmond line rail track.
Skywalker99
Do you mean all saints primary school? Might be worth contacting www.k9tracker.co.uk, there is a lot of open space for her to hide.Last edited: 2017-07-21 11:43:33 by Skywalker99
Ines
She 'speaks' German and possibly Spanish as she was rescued from a spanish shelter a couple of years ago! She will probably run away if you approach her but will come to you with a bit of patience,- and treats!
Skywalker99
Which street in west Putney did she go from? Does she 'speak' English or should German be used to try and coax her?

HI - SW15 is quite a large area, which includes a fair chunk of both Richmond and Wimbledon parks. Is it possible to get a little more detail on where Carla went missing as she may not have wandered too far and might help the search efforts.
