That's very sad news. I also know the area well and where Molly was found is quite a good distance from Tesco in Clowne. At the very least her owners have closure.

Sadly it was Molly....Thank you to the police who arrived as an obstruction on the road reported..ie Owl and helpers cars...who then proceeded to stop the traffic and assisted owner in retrieving Molly's body and putting in their boot. a huge thanks as always to Owl for being there and giving the owners closure.

Doglost Owl has just rung from the scene having located the dogs body.She is awaiting another helper to turn up with a scanner to see if a chip can be located.

Thank you Billabong. I know the area well as I was brought up in Whitwell. It is a fair way from Tesco in Clowne to Van Dykes so I am hoping a senior dog will not have gone that far. NE Derbyshire wardens are already aware of Molly being missing, and they are a very good team.

I have rung NE Derbyshire council and reported it, explaining that there is a dog lost in the area. I am keeping my fingers crossed it is not related.

You need to phone your local council and ask for the enviromental health as they are responsible for road clearance...also make sure you contact the dog warden also under enviromental heath department so they can borrow his scanner or he can turn up to scan.

Hoping it is totally unrelated, and don't wish to cause distress, but I have just driven past van dykes (towards Worksop) and there were deceased remains dark coloured laying in the kerb the other side of the road (chesterfield bound side) Is there anyone with a scanner that could check? I am sorry to post this and sincerely hope it's nothing to do with her x

I have put Molly on site for owner and will ask her to send photo to admin. People have been searching and posters are up, but no sightings so far. Dog warden aware.
