I am very sorry to break the sad news that Yola lost her life in RTA on Mumbles Rd, Swansea, on Saturday night. How she ended up there we do not know, as she had survived in a rural area between Pancader and Lampeter for 7 months.
DogLostJan -North West and Police Liaison Coordinator
Heartbroken to do this post. Yola what a clever girl you have been staying safe all this time. From Yola's Facebook group.....It is with very heavy and saddened hearts that Hazel and myself went this afternoon to pick up the beauitiful Yolas body which had tragically been involved in a road traffic accident on Mumbles rd in Swansea on late Saturday night.. How on earth Yola ended up there we dont know and may never know this..this is not the outcome that was ever expected especially after her surviving the last 7 months alone out in rural areas ..Yola will stay in our hearts as she has done these past months and her spirit will continue to fly high over at rainbow bridge now God bless you lovely girl and rest in peace now ..xxLast edited: 2018-01-23 11:33:08

Hi Reggiemollieros As far as we are aware Yola has moved on.I personally was only given the sightings yesterday but no dates on theses sightings.Last apparent sighting was near Lampeter Rugby Club x
DogLostreggiemollieros
Was made aware of Yola from the Thunderclap. Can i just check the sighting mentioned by Sally H December 8th referring to a caravan? Is this Yola? Or are we still looking on a more broad basis?

Thank you for your time, if there was a link to do so I would include a map that can be proved has ALREADY been forwarded to Yola's owner of every single sighting of Yola since she went went missing up until present day.

Please would you take this to private email as requested, sending your information to stolen@doglost.co.uk You are being very rude to CJ, who has been in contact with many police officers and has worked with them on various joint projects over the years. Only members of the main Doglost team have the green Doglost labels. It is not true that anybody can use any login name. We would not allow anyone to call themself by a title to which they have no right. No other site would tolerate posts such as you have made, so please do not expect that we will.

I have been out however been alerted by numerous to the comments by N/A.
First i would say that my comments were not only made after speaking with owner but also the same details were give to me from other sources. If you would like to send your information to stolen@doglost.co.uk and also identify who you are and who you represent and in what capacity,
I will always look at information given.
At present the emphasis is to support the owner and look at other methods to try to catch Yola as to date nothing has worked to catch her.

Totally misrepresentation of the situation as Yola has been driven away from bait stations and out of the area by an over enthusiastic emotional owner. I would like CJ Police Liaison Officer to contact myself and am shocked and surprised at Doglost for allowing unsubstantiated allegations to be aired.

Thank you CJ for update. Link to Yola's Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/1541284092551468/?ref=br_rs

After speaking with owner and heard the problems she is getting from another group trying to catch Yola have suggested we go back to basics and start by first plotting sightings to see what areas seen in. This will need local helpers to report any sightings to the owner. This will be the first step to gain trust. unfortunately this other group would not advise owner where any sightings were made so will be like starting all over again.

Thank you Sally H i have passed on to Yola's owner

Just seen this dog on Facebook...99.9% certain it's her. She's in Nantmel, near Rhayader...not an unreasonable distance away given the time. She is living rough under a caravan and although plays with a local family dog won't go near humans. Someone is feeding her...she's been in the area since Monday apparently.

I'm working on a farm in the Llandysul area (very near to Pencader) at the moment and have already seen several posters for Yola here. I've also been travelling between here and Pontrhydfendigaid to visit a friend so I will let her know about Yola. Will keep a look out for Yola on the mountain roads when driving that way.
PS Any info as to when Yola seen in Llanafan or if there have been any sightings since? Last edited: 2017-09-19 01:36:16 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

Admin please can you possibly update on recent developments as Yola seems to have switched areas. New sightings are at SY23 4AX. Can you also please add to the poster asking people to not try and catch or chase her. She is not aggressive but very nervous and will move on.

julie G i do homechecks for rescues and we strongly advise adopters to keep the dog on the lead in the garden till they are a 100% sure the dog has settled in and whilst walking the dog never to let off the lead, sadly new owners do not do this, we can only advise and hope they take note most do....
DogLostJan -North West and Police Liaison Coordinator
I have spoken to Yola's owner.Yola was sighted just down the road from where she is living on sunday. No sighting since.I have emailed owner Doglost advice sheets.Yola's owner is very experienced with Romanian dogs.

These rescues need to start giving better information. The dog's need to be kept on leads, in fact, I would lead and harness, and the rescues need to be telling the adopters this before the dog arrives. I feel for the owners but the rescues should know better.
Julie Gee
A dog that's scared enough can scale a 6ft fence. Sharing to Facebook and hoping Yola makes it home.
