Mel
Always thinking of you both, and Max. When you have a chance could you post up the name of Max's Facebook Page please? Thanks, hoping for a sighting very soon - with all the best wishes possible, Mel (lost dog China) x
Lynne
Max still being seen round Rossett so if you live there please keep watch and let us know of sightings only. As always, please do not approach or call. Thanks.
Mary
Hi Lynne - Are you able to get the tracker dog back to see if they can pick up a scent from the church?
Lynne
Last sighting in Rossett was Sunday 6th August at 2pm. He walked into the Parish church right down to the front then walked out again. Apparently everyone was laughing but he still just walked to the front and back out, so he mustn't have been frightened. We didn't get to know till this Saturday evening just gone. The lady who told us had a leaflet but hadn't thought on to phone us straight away. The vicar confirmed that Max was looking well which we are grateful for. He also said that his fur was slightly longer and slightly darker than on the photo, which would be right as his photo does seem to be quite light. I'm going to phone Animal Search UK to see if they can doctor the photo a bit to reflect what he looks like now. Please keep looking and praying for our little boy Max. I don't think it was a coincidence that he walked in a church. I think he's ready to come home now and it's his way of asking for help.
Lynne
Have put posters and leaflets round Rossett and Holt in case Max gets that far. Possible sighting in Rossett but not confirmed by other sightings as yet.

Still looking in and hoping for good news

Max possibly in Bradley/Gwersyllt area unsure exactly where, but if you're round those areas, please keep your eyes peeled. May be starting to show himself now.
Lynne
Just want to say a big thank you to Laura for organising the Thunderclap for us. It achieved the 100 shares it needed within 12 hours which must be a record. Apparently it goes live on 9th August when it's shared all over Facebook and Twitter. Without people like Laura, Kay Wick and more recently, Karen Hardy, we wouldn't have a clue where to start.

Supported and shared - hope Max is home very soon.

Thank you Kate. We appreciate everything that everyone is doing to help Max return to us. As you can see from my comments, myself and my partner are heartbroken without him. Did you say you may be able to get something sorted for the Wrexham Leader? I have been putting his details and photo in twice a week, except for this week. Do you think we need to continue doing that each week? We've had one phone call through it so far.
DogLostKaren - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Lovely to speak to you earlier today Lynne, sorry our found terrier down in London wasn't your Max.

I'll see if we can share on Facebook for your around the Wrexham area as my company has an office there and we have friends and colleagues there too. Good Luck in getting your beautiful boy home xx

Still sharing.x
Lynne
Still missing our loving little boy. Please, if you know someone has taken him in, even if they are giving him a loving home, or even if it's you, let us know that he is well. Then please take him to a vets and call me on 07738272603. There will be no questions asked, and there is a reward for his safe return.W e are heartbroken and can't go on day after day missing him so much and wondering if he is ok, being fed and not getting wet in all the rain. No dog could be more loved or cared for in every way with lots of walks, playing with his ball and good food. Plenty of love and cuddles too. Thank you for everyone who is looking out for him. MAX COME HOME SON. X
Deb
Please keep checking on my facebook page "Lost & Found Yorkshire Terriers in the UK' as there are quite a few found ones on there.
Lynne
Nothing on cameras last night, but one has now been positioned by a toy which has been taken by the river, which is what Max does, so hoping it's our boy.
DogLostNina
Willing you onto success
Lynne
Sniffer dog was really good. He took us to the places where he'd been sighted. Best response was when he nearly pulled his owner through a gate! Dragged him across the field to a circle of flattened grass by the river with small muddy paw prints going to river. Took us to quarry but think he was back-trailing him cos when we got there, it was evident that the scent was weaker and didn't take us to rabbit holes bar one which he had a cursory sniff at. His owner said that he can scent cadavers or dead bodies and he didn't find any. Kay has put two cameras up near to river and is monitoring them. Continued thanks to Laura and Kay and others who are helping.
Lynne
Sorry for late reply. Been v busy leafleting etc. Yes, Rita spoke to Ray about 4 days ago. Said we were doing all right things and was impressed with Laura's input. Stopped doing food drops now as no sightings on camera and in Derby One. Not sure now if they were correct. Sniffer dog coming tomorrow so.hope we will be nearer what happened then. Still trusting in God to bring him back to us. Thanks for all your help and support everyone.
DogLostNina
Lynne did you have any contact with Ray Deadicaot at all
Lynne
No sightings of Max for 6 days and not coming for food drops so sniffer dog is coming Saturday. We are hoping and praying our little boy will be back with us soon. If you know anything about him, please get in touch with me. There is a reward but if you want to do it anonymously, that is fine. Apparently, a girl found a lost dog wandering I think it was in the estate opposite the Willow field in Caergwrle. She walked around and asked people what she should do with the dog, which she had with her. This was about 3 or 4 weeks ago. If you know anything about this, please let me know. Don't forget my number and put it in your phone if you live in the area. 07738272603
Lynne
Leaving food drops Rhyddyn Hill Caergwrle and in Derby Road Caergwrle. If you see them, please leave them undisturbed. Any other sightings of Max would be great, and if you can get a photo too, that would be fantastic. We do appreciate everything you're doing. Remember not to call or approach him, just phone me. Thanks.
Lynne
Found out from experienced dog finders that calling him and squeaking ball is the wrong thing to do. Just putting food drops down and checking I morning. Food has gone a couple of days now so waiting for results from camera
Lynne
Unfortunately, sniffer dog can't come tonight as owners are in process of moving and we're fitting us in. They hope to be able to go out with him tomorrow evening but will keep you updated.
DogLostNina
Good luck Lynne
Lynne
Trained sniffer dog going to try and find a scent of Max tomorrow evening.
Lynne
Continuing to do food drops Caergwrle and Rhyddyn Hill. Leafleting and posters. Will continue this till he responds or shows up somewhere else. Thanks to all for your co tinned thoughts and help. It means so much to Rita (Max's other mummy),and myself.
Lynne
Tried strategies as described last night and trail this morning too with bits of socks etc and squeaking ball. We haven't had a sound or sighting of him ourselves yet which we really need to confirm its him 100per cent . Will continue tonight and Laura is helping with broth and serveillance too. Thanks Laura.
DogLostNina
You are doing all the right things Lynne. Good luck.
DogLostJan -North West and Police Liaison Coordinator
Good luck Lynne and Rita. Xxx
Lynne
Update...used broth as lure in areas Max had been sighted to 2 food drops. Sat quietly to see if he came from 11pm-12.50 but no sightings. Probable sighting today slightly farther afield so will do a trail of our pee sprayed from there to link up to food drop. Put contents of Hoover bag and unwashed socks near food too to remind him of familiar comforting smells. Will do good drop and serveillance again tonight and let you all know if it's been successful. Sounds rather disgusting but advice from Laura who's been fantastic and had success with getting dogs back and from Dogs Lost who have been great too. Thanks everyone.
Lynne
Had great advice from Laura, experienced in catching runaway dogs. Please do not call him or approach . He is very frightened and will run further afield. Just phone me on 07738272603 anytime to say where and when sighted, which direction he wS going in, and what condition he looked in if possible. Also if he had his harness on and if so, what colourit was.
Lynne
Here it is everyone... SIGHTINGS at Caergwrle. About three late last night around Derby Road and Sarn junction. Let's get this scared little boy.
Lynne
POSSIBLE sighting reported to Animal Search UK anonymously today. Lady said she saw a dog like Max walking along the High St by Smith's BMW garage. But this sighting was on Thursday between 1-3pm.
DogLostNina
Try different areas and don't forget the smelly tripe, portable BBqs are easily availableLast edited: 2017-07-01 18:56:29 by Nina
Lynne
Good idea Nina. Once we know for certain where he is, we can do that. At the moment it's unclear where our precious boy is.
DogLostNina
have you used food as a lure to get him to surface for sightings. BBqs and smelly tripe might be an answer
Lynne
To all Max's friends who go to Fagle Quarry. Please continue to keep your eyes and ears open. In some ways we're back to square one in that we feel there's no fully confirmed sightings, just possibles. We will continue to patrol the quarry, Caergwrle and Llay country park until we have a confirmed definite sighting by someone who knows him or can take a photo which shows his face chest and paws. Many thanks to all, especially the guy with the Tibetan terrier and a white van who goes there regularly checking for Max. Sorry, don't know your name. Does anyone know it?
Lynne
Quick update. We're now unsure about the sightings in Llay as we checked that there is another yorkie poo who goes loose without an owner on there and it looks v much like Max except it hasn't got a white chest and white front right paw. Upsetting news but will continue to check there and Caergwrle too. Please keep your eyes out wherever you are in the country for our precious boy. A photo of his face and chest would give us more of an idea whether it was Max or not. Thank you for your continued help and support everyone. Janette Gareth Sandra and Peter Mel and family have been particularly helpful coming to search at the drop of a hat.
Lynne
We're going early morning and afternoon because he likes dogs and it's more busy afternoons.
Lynne

4 sightings of Max Llay country park yesterday 9-3 Last edited: 2017-06-30 19:26:51 by Lynne
Lynne
Possible sighting in Llay country park yesterday 3pm. Searched last night and this morning. Animal Search UK rescue team are there now and looking at Bryn Yorkin area
Lynne
Searching in Bryn Yorkin Lane area in Caergwrle now as a sighting was made by a 9 year old on Tuesday at 4. Another lady said she thought she saw him about a week ago. Why don't people try and find out who these pets belong to? Hhas a collar with his address on! Animal Search UK rescu team are coming tomorrow so hopefully they will succeed in finding our boy.
Lynne
SIGHTING of Max Bryn Yorkie Lane area Caergwrle yesterday at 4 pm. Anyone free to help look in the area with us? There now for half an hour then coming back about 6 to walk and shout up the mountain as it leads up there and knock n doors too. so any help gratefully received. Please phone me 07738272603
Lynne
Still looking daily at quarry. Leafleting and putting posters in local area. Keep our little boy in your prayers for his safety and speedy return. All pets are special and he is extra special and loving. X
Lynne
Need to say a big thank you to all those people who turned up this evening for the big dig to see if Max was down a rabbit warren that our lurcher had been very interested in today. There were guys from Moorland and Fell terrier rescue from Colwyn Bay, Chris and Stefanie, neighbours from The Barn in Pigeon House Lane, and a couple of guys I forgot their names. Didn't find Max but James from Crewe who had organised it, made us feel better by saying that Max was too big for the holes and thinks Max has been stolen to sell on. So let's not let that happen. Going on lots of rescue websites tomorrow. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all you dog lovers out there. X
Lynne
Lots been happening to find Max. Fell and moorland terrier rescue are coming tonight to dig some of the holes at the quarry. We've got permission from the owner who was v sympathetic and is coming to help. We've also registered Max on Animal Search UK who have been brilliant and are sending professional posters by courier tomorrow morning and we have asked their search team to come as soon as they can which will be late June early July. I'm putting ads in Wrexham and Flintshire Leaders too.

Hope there will be some good news of where Max is. Paws, and fingers xd.
Lynne
Checked out the dog that has been found but it is not Max. Thanks anyway it was worth a shot.

Not heard anything from Jenny so left a message on K9 Search Dogs. They are based in Cornwall so don't know if they will come. If anyone knows of any trained tracker dogs specifically to find dogs please let me know. A small group will be meeting at the large gate with a stile over on Pigeon House Lane in Hope Wrexham at 11 today. If anyone is free to walk with us and search, you would be very welcome. An ex policeman will be there and will probably co ordinate our efforts. Thanks so much again.
Mary
Lynne. Jenny K9tracker.co.uk is based in Kent. K9 Trackers are Devon & Cornwall I think. I don't know Jenny personally, just know the good work she does and that although it may be too far for her to come and track, she would give you good advice.
Lynne
Hi.i haven't heard anything back from the tracker dog owner. We are so worried about Max as it's been4 days since he went missing. I can't find a contact number for the K9 tracker dogs to check that they got my request for help. As you know I am not good with this technical internet stuff so I am sorry that the request I thought I sent didn't go through. It wasn't accepting the photo I tried to attach for ages. Finally it did seem to accept it but when I looked all the sections I had filled in had gone back to blanks. Maybe this is normal? Anyway if anyone knows the number please let me know. You seemed to know the lady Mary, do you have a number please? Thanks.
Mary
Lynne. When you are searching if you take a piece of hosepipe, with a funnel attached to one end, you cam put this down holes to listen and call softly. If stuck often go quiet but may respond to your voice. Does Max know his way home from where he was lost? If the sighting of him was correct he may be trying to make his way home. Using a spray of your diluted pee for Max to follow may help. Jenny K9tracker.co.uk is brilliant and even if she can't come to track she will give you good advice.
Lynne
I have now contacted K9 tracker dogs who employ beagles to search for a dog's scent. Don't know what else to do but got to try all we can as he's been missing 3 days now and if he is down a hole and we can't hear him then this seems our best hope. Thanks Tricia for the link.
Lynne
This is one of Max's owners, Lynne. There was a POSSIBLE sighting of Max on Thursday evening by the White Lion pub Hawarden Road Hope. The guy said it looked likeMax and he was looking lost.

Sorry to see that MAX SIGHTED UPDATE is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (116644)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
