I am so very sad to hear this sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with their owners, who must be clearly devestated. nightie, night. Simba, sleep tight, and nhave fun with Lily who has alsp passed to the bridge. It is with considerable sadness that we have to report that firefighters have found Simba and Lilly's bodies. It would appear that in escaping the fire they returned and sought the sanctuary of their own homes. Simba's family have expressed their sincere thanks to everyone who helped in the search for her beloved dogs.

I've been speaking family friends and to two of the young owner's teachers today. They and her class mates have been doing a terrific job searching for Simba and designing posters. I can confirm that Simba is not at Battersea, Mayhew, Blue Cross and SDK.

We are double-checking the rescues that took animals after the fire. Neither Lily or Samba were taken in by Battersea. Mayhew & Blue Cross are getting back to us.

A message I have just received from a media contact says that the mother of the young owner has basically been at her bedside and has been unable to search for Simba. We need to get some posters down on the ground as well as review social media. We can certainly speak to contacts who have been organising emergency foster.

So pleased to hear Simba's owner is now out of ICU and wish her a speedy recovery. Getting posters put up and the word out that Simba is missing will help to get sightings if Simba is in the area. Make sure all Vets, Rescues and Dog Wardens in the immediate and surrounding area have Simba's photo and details. If Simba is microchipped telephone the vet who he was registered with and ask them to contact DogLost with the microchip number, so Simba can be shown as missing.

Has also been stated some were apparently taken to Mayhew Animal Home/Hosptial and others to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Is it possible for these orgnisations to provide a list of the animals fostered/taken into rescue?

Captain Lily Looks like a different dog. These owners aren't going to have microchip details, as they will have been destroyed in the fire. Perhaps DogLost could get them from the microchip company by name and address and put them on the system as Lost. 7 days is almost up so if Admin is able to contact rescues and SDK so no dogs are permanently rehomed or worse still pts while owners are in hospital recovering.

Purple Bone Pet shop who were co ordinating doggie donations said this morning that ALL the dogs are now being cared for at BATTERSEA and no longer at the leisure centre. Fingers crossed for this little one.x
