- Sorry 4 being useless at posting on doglost but want to say a massive Thank You to everyone & give details that I couldn't give before due to police investigation which came to nothing. Trigger was stolen from Tesco Holland Park Avenue & taken on a bus to East London where he was filmed on bus, in parks looking scared & lost. These films were posted on Facebook. Trigger also had wounds in these films (look like dog fight wounds but we'll never know) these wounds are now scars on him for life. Trigger was passed around until he ended up with one of theifs friends who was Thank God a Dog lover & who took Trigger to a vet where he was checked for microchip & was subsequently returned to us. Trigger was extremely thin as well as having scars but he was back with his family. We are so grateful to everyone for their help.

- Fantastic news. Do we know how Trigger was found?
E11 is miles away just shows how important it is to share beyond the immediate area if a dog is stolen.
So happy for his family xx

- We have had discussions with a number of major retailers, but as you can imagine they are not thrilled at the idea that dogs can be stolen from outside their shops. Tescos - in particular - have a very unhelpful community relations department.
- 2017-07-20 15:39 NickyB
- current issue of dogs today has brilliant article about dog theft - statistics, advice etcetc (they always have 3 doglost.co.uk dogs in every month). i have printed off the article and give to anyone i see who leaves their dog, and ask them to read it

- This news has made my day..I'm so happy Trigger is back where he belongs..His owners will be overjoyed..If only dogs could talk..I wonder if Doglost could look into designing a sign for shops to display in windows about not leaving dogs outside unattended, which we could print off and hand out to shops.. It's very true that people who do not read newspapers or use social media have no idea dog theft is even happening.. I wait with every dog I see and so far, owners have been very thankful and listened to advise. . Wonderful news about Trigger..Enjoy being spoilt and having endless cuddles x Last edited: 2017-07-20 11:39:10

- Great news. Well done all who helped reunite Trigger with his owners Stay close now Trigger:-)xxx Great pic of Trigger with his family, Not a good idea to leave dogs outside shops unattended There may be someone watching, and waiting to steal your dog
- 2017-07-20 08:07 Turtle
- Wonderful news, hope your lovely boy is ok. I agree that perhaps we could petition shops to put warning notices outside. Sometimes I warn people if I see them leaving their dog, often they look at me like I'm crazy, nothing new there!!! Welcome home Trigger! Last edited: 2017-07-20 09:44:37 by Turtle

- I am pleased to see that the problem of being able to post has now been sorted. I totally agree with you Diane about negative comments as this will not help finding Trigger so better to use any energy any one has share posters and to help find him.
- 2017-07-16 01:58 Diane
- Can I ask that comments about my partner leaving Trigger outside Tesco be left out of peoples comments. Obviously he feels bad enough for losing trigger without months of blame. As a Dog owner for over 20 years and someone who goes on both Anti Yulin and Anti BSL protests he should know better but we're devastated enough by Triggers loss and nothing anyone can say will make us feel any worse. So please help us find Trigger who is the blameless one in all this and desperately needs your help, thank you all.

- I'm trying again to write on here, have tried numerous times with no luck. Still no news or sightings though we do have cctv images of Thieves from Tesco. There is also very large reward for Triggers safe return. Thank you to everyone who has shared him, or wrote on here it is much appreciated.

- Are Trigger's chip details definitely up-to-date. Had this posted to Doglost Surrey today: lovely Brown male staffie walked into work today with no owner.Has microchip but all info is wrong.West Barnes lane motspur park
- 2017-06-15 10:42 Kit'sMum
- Jaycey, I think it's a very good idea for Tesco and other businesses to put signs up outside warning owners not to leave their dogs tied up outside the shops. They may not have thought of this ...Maybe this could do with a petition or a direct communication with the businesses concerned
- 2017-06-14 23:12 Mary
- Yes I agree with all the comments, more publicity is needed to prevent this happening in the first place. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but forewarned is forearmed is so much better. I hope Trigger is found very soon. Owner do return to where Trigger was taken at dusk and dawn if you can, in case he got free from the thief.
- 2017-06-14 21:40 NickyB
- i find its a complete waste of time warning people of the risk they take leaving dogs tied up outside shops - u get 1 of 2 responses = I will only be a couple of minutes = or they look at me as thought i am a lunatic
- 2017-06-14 21:36 Mrs Mop
- A reward is now offered for Trigger's return.

- Whenever I see a dog tied up outside our large supermarket I just have to hang around sheepishly until the owner comes out! I may look suspicious but I can't help myself!!
There should be tougher penalties for dog thieves. - 2017-06-14 20:06 Unknown
- I do thst too Doglover, and have stopped outside shops whilst eh owner goes into a shop. There should be hrsher penalties for dog theft.
- 2017-06-14 08:53 Doglover
- Hi Mary, I think that people who do not do Doglost or follow any of the dog groups on facebook, are not aware of the problem of dog theft and I think that is why Media coverage is so important so that we can make people aware...I often stand outside shops with dogs that are tied up and try and warn the owners of the current problem. xx
- 2017-06-14 06:01 Mary
- Reggiemollieros it would be great if there was an article in the standard. I can't be the only one who is amazed that people are leaving their dogs tied up outside shops in central London.
- 2017-06-14 00:45 Jaycey
- According to Triggers owner on the news discusdion..Trigger is the 5th dog to be stolen from outside that branch of Tesco in 8 months..So why haven't Tesco put signs up for owners to see, advising not to leave dogs unattended!!.. Hooe the publicity brings good news..CCTV showed he was dragged away by a women!
- 2017-06-13 20:08 Unknown
- Sincerley hope Trigger is reunited very soon. Was CCTV of any help at all? Keep making Trigger "TOO HOT TO HANDLE" Paws xd.Last edited: 2017-06-13 20:09:51

- 2017-06-08 08:00 Mrs Mop
- Thank you Reggie. I will suggest owner gets in touch with Butler's owner. Seems to be a pattern here.
- 2017-06-08 05:50 reggiemollieros
- Diane another dog, Butler, a westie was stolen outside M&S at Notting Hill. Could be same person. I have tweeted Trigger & Butler's poster to the Standard. Also Newton was stolen from other side of Holland Park 27/5.
Maybe the Standard or another paper would do an article.
I suggested to Butler's owner to contact Doglost's PR Nikki - email admin@doglost.co.uk and see if they can forward your email.

- Thanks, have texted your advice to owner.
- 2017-05-31 11:40 Seeks
- TracyBDCH we were rubbisj when Pups was stolen and since then have found out what we should have done...
Get the owner to contact Doglost and ask if CJ the Police Coord can help (CJ is very good at getting the police to act)
Often saying your going to put in a formal complaint can help get them to move on it all...
We also found Social Media pressure can help...We did it our selves though we only got promises that help would be given & nothing was done even that was an improvement.....We used it one & a half years after Pups was stolen and it was the very first time the police even said they would do something...We know they didn't bother but then had we done it at the start we would have kept the pressure on them to make them honour the promises....If we do ever find Pups we are looking into a civil action now but for us its all to late. For Trigger its not so best thing is to ask CJ on Doglost to help... Her advice will be better than mine ;-) xx - 2017-05-31 11:09 Unknown
