at the moment there are no new leads but rest assured we are still looking out for Brinley.
No the Owner knows people in the scrap yard and it is fenced off with steel security fencing x

Has this gone cold now? Could he have got trapped in a car at the scrap yard?

Please note changes to posters. Brinley is a Whippet but very slight, He is a pet and would not be any use for a working dog he is also neutered .Please if anyone has him or knows anything to get in touch with the Owner. He is so upset having lost his companion and just wants him home .If you found him it is the law to hand him over to the Dog Warden or a local vet .He is a loved pet. Thank you

After Gnasher and I met with the owner and walked for approximately 2 hours around the area with no signs of a dog living in the area or any signs of an injured dog making his way under bushes etc. it is looking more likely that Brinley could have been taken, there were several cars in the car park the night he went missing and we know he is friendly and will jumps in vehicles if the door is open.
I hope if someone did pick him up thinking he is a stray that they will take him to be scanned or inform a dog warden. He is a pet/companion dog not a working dog.

No sighting of Brinley during my walk this morning. As the vehicle scrap yard backs onto the C.P. I took a poster in there today. The guy I saw was aware of the missing dog and said that they were keeping an eye out for him. I did tell him that Brinley likes to jump in any vehicle with the door left open. I also left a poster which he displayed prominently. Brinley's owner was going to leave a blanket out for him last night and I left clean water in the car park.

Owner has contacted/visited all kennels, stables etc. In the area. Brinley knows the area well, it is a familiar walk. If he became disorientated he may now be frightened and hiding during the day when there are walkers about. Dusk and dawn are the most likely times that he would come out for food and water, both of which there is a plentiful supply.

Looking at a map of the area the owner parked on the right hand side of Boundary lane after leaving the A31 near a scrap yard. I will add map to extra image, the red dot was where he was last seen.

Can we get an idea of which side of Boundary Lane he went - there are a few kennels/catteries nearby. I'll email them to make them aware. Also the last forest lost pooch was found near riding stables tied to a tree. If owner can look on google map we might get a better idea of where he's ended up. Thanks

Thank you Folly & thanks Jenny4 for getting those posters out. There has still been no news as of this morning. We have a few helpers from the Doglost Dorset page going out to help search for him today. Hopefully someone will spot him or see the posters and call in with sightings

I have just spent 2 hours in the Country Park searching. I met up with the owner who is very upset as Brinley is his constant companion whilst he drives his truck all day. Someone has kindly postered the area well. Absolutely no sign this evening. It is a vast area. Hopefully he has stayed in the Country Park and not near the road.I shall go back with the dogs tomorrow morning.

Thank you Folly that would be wonderful. The owner is very distressed and so very worried over Brinley. Please share as far as possible.
And thank you Ronnie CSS all help gratefully received xx

I can walk my tribe there tomorrow but could go up this evening if it would help. Please let me know. The dog walkers there are very good and will try to get him if they see him. It would be a good idea to contact wardens on 01425 478082 and try to get the number of the owner of the cattle who goes there daily to feed them.
