I appreciate that Lottie has been lost since 2017 but I saw this on the SDK council website and had to send just in case. Jack Russells are known to have a long life. Really wishing Lottie home. Louise a dog lover x

Thank you, I think I am accessing this on my phone and some of the link was missing I would have been better on the laptop, I managed to find the little dog in Ireland through your found dogs I presume it was the one behind the white mesh door with dachshunds etc, the little dogs face was very much like Lottie’s but unfortunately the markings on the dogs back were different, thank you very much Veronica for bringing this little dog to my attention I very much appreciate it, and thank you admin for pointing me in the right direction when I was struggling xx
DogLostSandra Watt
Sharon ..you need to copy and paste the link into your browser ..it is regarding a large number of dogs seized in Ireland. If you look on Dog Lost here found page search for jack Russell and you will see photo of one found in Ireland. Good luck.
Sharon
Hi Veronica, I can’t get the link to work, is it a lost dog that looks like Lottie?

Aww Bless you, Thank you Hollieberry it will be soon 3 years, about a year ago a neighbour came to me and said she had seen a white van down our street the Sunday Lottie went missing around about the same time she went missing unfortunately she didn’t get the registration number, I really don’t know why she didn’t give me this information at the time, I then put another pot on Facebook which went amazingly well 84,000 shares and over two million views of the video but unfortunately still no Lottie, Thank you for Caring Sharon xx
Hollieberry
I haven't forgotten Lottie & I still hope that one day you will find her .

Sadly it’s a year tonight that Lottie went missing, a year of heartache and wondering where she is and what’s happened to her
Hollieberry
Its almost a year Sharon I was really hoping Lottie would be home by now .I'm still looking for her & I know you will never give up on her X
Sharon
Sadly Lottie is still missing xx
Sharon
Hi Hollieberry (sorry for the late reply but for some reason the email notification of your comment had gone in the junk) I really hope so too, I think about her so much, now the children have gone back to school I am going to make some new leaflets and leaflet the village again asking if anyone knows what’s happened to Lottie even if the worst has happened ie knocked over, shot by a farmer, attacked and killed by another dog etc to please let me know and put me out of my mystery, even if it’s an anonymous note through the door or by post xx
Hollieberry
Sharon Lottie is out there somewhere I really hope that one day she gets out from wherever she is & gets picked up by some kind person who will get her chip scanned.X
Sharon
Thank you so much for putting Lottie on the advent calendar, unfortunately for some reason I didn’t see it, I have only just found the email notification to say this message was on here, for some reason the email had gone in the junk which is odd because they never have before, thank you for everything you are doing to help me find Lottie xx

Aww bless you that’s so good of you keeping an eye out for Lottie like that, thank you so much, I have just had a big push on the internet last weekend I put a short video of Lottie on a post, I then shared my post on lots of missing dog sites, I have had some lovely comments and masses of shares so that’s brilliant but I have had a lady tonight that has put on one of my posts that Lottie had been found, I replied to her saying that was wrong and Lottie was definitely still missing, she replied by saying she had seen on Dog lost that she has been found, I certainly can’t see anything on here that would indicate that, I wonder if she has mistakenly got the wrong dog xx
Hollieberry
Its a habit with me now Sharon I look at every Jack Russell I come across always hoping it will be Lottie. I know you will never stop looking for her X
Sharon
Thank you Hollieberry it was Lottie’s 9th Birthday yesterday it would have been amazing to have spent it with her xx
Hollieberry
Please keep looking for Lottie its time she went home now .
Hollieberry
Please keep looking & sharing for Lottie she needs to go home where she belongs .Someone somewhere must know where this little girl is .
Sharon
Hi Hollieberry you are absolutely right, it is closure good or bad, knowing where she is and what could have happened to her, luckily Lottie is registered with petlog but our other two dogs are with different companies so I need to look into that thanks Holliberry
Hollieberry
I really feel for you Sharon I have never lost a dog & fingers crossed I hope I never will but I read about the heart break caused by a missing pet so I know what you feel is what so many others think & feel too but the one thing you all have in common is that you want closure good or bad because unless people get that they are looking forever. Due to the lack of sightings I do think Lottie has been taken by someone. Sharon for a small fee it maybe a good idea to register all your dogs including Lottie with one of the main chipping data bases such as Petlog .Ps two more dogs have been stolen from the YO42 area.
Sharon
Thank you Hollieberry I know Lottie is out there somewhere but I just can't help but thinking with no sightings at all that with her being a terrier and never wandering off in all of her eight and a half years that she's got hooked up by her collar or trapped by her collar and is most likely to be dead even though I looked extensively and thoroughly I just wonder if I have missed her, it was my initial gut instinct that she must be around and about somewhere we live in a fairly quiet village down a dead end side street the village itself has very little through traffic and Lottie went missing on an early Sunday evening, a quiet time, my brain hurts with thinking where she is and what's happened to her, my post on Pocklington stuff for sale gets bumped every day other people very kindly shared it to other sites so I personally don't get notifications from those and don't really know which sites she was shared to, I will comment now on things that I have shared to say that Lottie is still missing, your reunited page is inspirational thank you
Sharon
Thank you Mary, I will keep fighting and pushing and hopefully some thing can be done,re the chipping database and routine scanning by vet's etc, it's a good point that you have brought up, even if dogs were routinely scanned by the vet's even if they were with their owners, if there were a national data base and when dogs were scanned all details came up on the screen not just the chip number or even flagging up as lost but if address' and phone numbers come up too owners could be alerted to the fact that some of their detail's need updating, a lot of chipped dogs that are found don't always have up to date information so also slip through the net, thank you for that another good reason for updating the system as you say cars and plant machinery get flagged up straight away
Hollieberry
Lottie could be anywhere please keep looking & sharing someone knows where this girl is she needs to go home. Sharon sorry that I have not got back to you yet re micro chipping I have not been well I will reply in more detail in a few days but I guess you are pretty much well informed on the subject. Please take a look at the reunited page Chance is home after 3 years & not chipped home because someone recognised the dog on the local found page. As I said never ever give up .
Mary
Hi Sharon. This is something I feel really strongly about. It should in my opinion be the vet's or implanter's responsibility to register the details and I'm certain many owners take it for granted, that this has been done. If the details aren't registered the owner only has 7 days to find them, if they are taken to a pound before their dog is rehomed or pts, There is also no national register of lost, stolen and found dogs, a role which DogLost is well placed to fulfil, with funding. You have just highlighted why there are so many unregistered microchips. Something needs to be done urgently to make the system fit for purpose. To most of us our dogs are so much more important to us than our cars, but unlike cars there is no national database. I'm very sorry that Lottie is still missing and hope you find her soon.
Sharon
Hi Hollieberry, That is all probably very true but the more I hear about things the reality can be quite different, but I suppose as long as your dog is chipped and your details are logged with the chipping company then that's ok, when Lottie was chipped by the vet with one of the bigger chip companies, I did get a paper copy I presume the vets kept a copy they told me I had nothing further to do so I presume the vets sent a copy to the chip company because when I initially rang them when Lottie went missing all my details that they had were correct, now a year and a half ago I had our black lab chipped at my Mother in laws farm with their farm dogs, the chipping was done by a vet on a routine visit to the farm, now all I got then was a small piece of paper approx three inches wide by one and a half inches deep with the name of the chip company and 4 bar code stickers on it, the vet had written on the back my dogs name and a 4 digit vetcode there wasn't even a phone number or a website address I googled it at home then registered him with the company online, at the beginning of April we bought a Dachshund puppy, he had been chipped by the breeder as is now the law, she gave us a business type card with bar code on, a website address and 3 steps how to register your dog, so I registered him on line too, there seems to be 8 main chip companies, they all have their own database but there doesn't seem to be a central database, I was speaking to a friend who breeds gun dogs a few weeks ago, she confirmed breeders have to chip puppies before they go to their new owners, as breeders they buy chips for a few pounds off the internet and are allowed/licenced to chip their own puppies, chipping is such a good thing and can work incredibly well but there also seems to be big holes in the system that need filling in for it to work exceptionally well, it would be really nice to meet up and hear about your research if you would like to you could private message me on Facebook I am Sharon Cole-Fletcher should be fairly easy to find there's only one of me, I'm quite unique! lol now the election is over and things are hopefully settling down a bit I need to get my facts right and go back to see our MP and take it from there, including Lottie we have three dogs and all three are chipped with a different chip company, I am really pleased you have done some research into chipping it would be great to talk to you properly about it Sharon
Hollieberry
When a dog is micro chipped there is 3 pieces of paper the vet retains one you keep a copy & one copy is posted to the chip company by you, they then are put on the company database otherwise the number is only registered to the vet that's what I understand after 2 days of research .Last edited: 2017-06-29 21:39:54 by Hollieberry
Sharon
Hi Hollieberry, yes the vets did it when she was chipped two and a half years ago, ringing the chip company was the first thing I did on the Monday morning after she went missing on the Sunday evening, they have flagged her up as missing and I double checked they had all our details correct address phone numbers etc, I have been in contact with the chip company since as well, I've just got to hope now someway or somehow she gets handed in xx
Sharon
Thank you homely53 that is really kind of you, it's much appreciated I hope you are right it would be amazing to see Lottie again, all sorts of things go through your mind xx
Hollieberry
Sharon when Lottie was micro chipped did you send her papers & numbers to the chip company to be put on their data base ?
homely53
I have shared on my facebook page in West Wilts and so have a few others. Gradually she will be too hot to keep. Pretty little girl.
Sharon
Thank you Hollieberry that's just what I keep thinking to myself dead or alive she's out there somewhere, I soooo wish I knew where, I spoke to more vets this week they also confirmed to me that dogs brought in by their owners that are being routinely scanned to check the chip is still there and functioning are not being flagged up if they are lost or stolen but have been innocently bought by their new owners or are with people that have found them and just decided to keep them they agreed with me stolen dogs are slipping through the net because of this, dogs of course that are handed in or people trying to find out who a lost dog belongs too the chipping system works although this would also benefit from a central database, thank you for what you are doing xx
Hollieberry
Can everyone please keep looking for Lottie on rehoming sites & also dogs for sale this little girl must be somewhere .
Hollieberry
You have actually told me a couple of things about micro chips that I did not know Sharon, my biggest concern of all is that dogs are being pts or rehomed without their chip ever being read . I am keeping my fingers crossed that Lottie will be recognised sooner or later this is why it is so important to keep making new posts to say she is still missing she has to be kept in peoples minds .Last edited: 2017-06-19 19:43:06 by Hollieberry
Sharon
To get a dog back after 6 years or 9 years like the one you mentioned yesterday is a amazing and inspiring, yes notifying the chip company that Lottie was missing was one of the first things I did, I learned from the vets and then it was confirmed by the chip company that if Lottie was just routinely scanned If for example she was taken to the vet by a new owner either someone who has just found her and decided to keep her or someone who has innocently bought her and the vet just routinely checked her chip all that would come up on the screen is the chip number and wouldn't flag her up as missing even though I have reported her missing, because of this Lottie would slip through the net and the new owner would go on their merry way, the only way she would flag up as missing is if for some reason the vet was suspicious and then looked into which of the about 8 chip companies that Lottie was registered with and then she would flag up as being missing but with all the will in the world the vet isn't going to look into every chip number he checks, there is a slightly more expensive halo scanner that does flag up dogs missing straight away but only if they are registered with pet log, but wouldn't flag up dogs registered with any of the other companies the government need to make sure that all the companies are linked to a central database and that whenever or however chips are scanned all of the information comes up on the screen or at the very least it should flag up immediately the dog cat or whatever has been registered missing by the owner, I will also put to the MP about scanning dead animals too so at least the owners have closure, sorry I have gone on a bit, it was just I was so disappointed to learn this because I felt if Lottie did have a new owner a routine I thought a routine scan was the only way I could possibly get her back but to find that's not the case was a real blow, thank you for listening xx
Hollieberry
Its crazy Sharon the law says our dogs have to be chipped but there is no law to say that all animals dead or alive should be scanned for a chip. I watched Yorkshire Vet last night & a little stray dog that had been brought in bless her she had been missing for 6 yrs.Have you reported Lottie as missing to your chip company ? if she is scanned then she will show up as missing X
Sharon
I won't give up Hollieberry, still letting people know she's still missing, I have also been to my MPs office and spoke to the people in there about the fact that there is no central database for chipped dog/animals and the fact that if animals are routinely scanned for example when they go to the vets all that comes up on the screen is the chip number it doesn't flag up that the dog for example has been reported lost or stolen, I feel a lot of them are slipping through the net, I had a letter back from him yesterday he thanked me for bringing this to his attention and if he gets re elected he is happy to raise it with the ministerial team who has responsibility in that area, I feel the government have made it law to have all dogs chipped and quite rightly too but the infistructure behind it isn't up to scratch in short they have only done half a job, even if I never get Lottie back I want something good to come from all this xx
Hollieberry
Never give up hope Sharon there has been some long time missing dogs reunited this past few days one of them was missing 9 years .You do need to keep Lottie in peoples minds though so keep bumping your posts by saying still missing X
Sharon
Still no sign of Lottie unfortunately
Sharon
Thank you so much Hollieberry, my last post has been shared 1.8k times which is amazing, do you think I need to do a new post now? Xx
Hollieberry
Yes keep mentioning Lottie need to get her shared as much as possible ,she could be dumped anywhere in the country if she is not sold on quickly .Do you get the scrap men around Seaton Ross on a Sunday I know we did in H.O.S.M .I will bump Lottie up on the sites I have put her on .
Sharon
Hi Hollieberry I feel the same, different people shared Lottie's post so I don't really know which sites she's on other than my own post and two Pocklington sites dog lost and dog tag, I wasn't sure how this one works, do I need to keep commenting on here to keep it in the public eye? Wow 3 years those two owners must have been beside themselves xx
Hollieberry
Sharon keep bumping Lottie's posts to keep her in the publics eye. 2 dogs returned back to their separate owners this week after being missing for 3 years one was chipped the other was not, it was recognised from a posting that was 3 years old .I am beginning to think that Lottie has been taken due to the fact that there has been no sightings .
Sharon
That is all sadly true, on this horrible journey I have found that chips aren't as good as I thought they were, they can move very badly, I spoke to a kennel owner yesterday that only went back to scan a dog because the owner insisted it was chipped and found it in its foot, I spoke to a kennel owner today who found one in the tip of a dogs tail, I also thought if someone had just decided to keep Lottie and she was routinely scaned at the vets because I had reported Lottie missing to the chip company that she would automatically be flagged up as missing but apparently not the only way she would be found due to the chip would be if an honest person took her in as lost then it would be looked into
Sharon
Thank you Hollieberry, I really appreciate it, someone shared a link to me today, a little dog that from the front looked identical to Lottie but when the chip was read it wasn't Lottie xx
Mary
As we know from Isla 110378 chips can be removed. Chip could have been replaced. I presume they check date chip registered. Last edited: 2017-05-17 06:53:57 by Mary

If you google dragondriving you will soon find it I am checking the dogs section as often as I can .
Sharon
Thank you Hollieberry I hadn't heard of dragon driving, I have asked on the village Facebook page if anyone has CCTV down our street but nobody said they had, only people saying they didn't think anyone had, I have leafleted the whole village and have spoken to a lot of the people in our street but everyone said how quiet it usually is and especially on a Sunday evening, unless she has wandered a bit further but in 8 and a half years she hasn't wandered before but you never know, I have walked grass verges looked in hedge bottoms and checked ditches incase she's been bumped by a car xx
Hollieberry
Sharon did any of the neighbours notice anyone unusual or a vehicle in the area on the day that Lottie went missing ? Please keep checking for sale sites on such things as Gumtree & Dragon Driving .
Sharon
You aren't far away from us, Our paddock almost goes through to Laytham lane, and from there on more or less open countryside for a few miles with only the hamlet of Laytham and a few farms, she's never properly strayed in her 8 and a half years but you never know, I remember sharing the post about the little dog at Market Weighton I only learned yesterday it hadn't been found, I hadn't realised there hadn't been any sightings at all, I was talking to a lady today while I was out and a couple of years ago her dog ran off in a storm she looked all over but nothing till a phone call to say it was in Castleford a lady had taken it to a grooming parlour and when the groomer asked the lady where she had got her new dog from she said she'd found it so the groomer scanned it and it flagged up lost, when the real owner went to collect it the lady wasn't happy and said her 7 year old was very sad and asked the owner to pay £50 for all the toys etc she had bought for it, so like you say I shouldn't give up, it's exactly 2 weeks ago as now I was out there looking for Lottie, my living nightmare started xx
Hollieberry
I used to live in H.O.S.M so I have been to Seaton Ross so the fact that Lottie could be in a vast area is really worrying .I live in Market Weighton now & there is a dog missing here also with a similar story & no sitings either .Take heart that I have just read about 2 little dogs who arrived home after 2 weeks very dirty & thin presumed to have been stuck down a hole.
Sharon
Thank you Hollieberry, absolutely no sightings of Lottie I am afraid, today I have walked grass verges with a friend incase Lottie had been knocked by a car, we checked ditches too, I have checked all the places Lottie could possibly have gone to within our garden and paddock and all the neighbouring gardens and paddocks either side of these, and beyond where Lottie had ever ventured I hired a drainage camera for a week and put it down all the rabbit holes I could find and under sheds not left a stone unturned so now looking further afield and with no sightings I am worried someone has taken Lottie so maybe relying on people who see a new little dog popping up in their neighbourhood within someone's home
Hollieberry
Any updates Sharon ? you have done very well at listing Lottie on most sites that I have looked at keep bumping to keep her in the publics eye.
Sharon
That's great Nina thank you
DogLostNina
If you google Tracker Dogs North East you may find what you are looking for.
Sharon
Busy day again yesterday looking for Lottie looking moving things incase she's trapped more posters up, took the Black Lab out all around and for the first time he was actually on sniff mode but no joy, finished the day at 2am out with the torch while all was quiet except for a bit of wind, hoping to hear any whining but no luck so far, today more camera work and making leaflets to deliver around the village to ask everyone if they've seen her to check in and under buildings and also if anyone had people round on Sunday 23rd that could have picked her up as they left thinking she was lost/homeless xx
Sharon
That's good advice Hollieberry thank you, do you know of a tracker dog that's local to me? Xx
Hollieberry
If Lottie has chased a rabbit its possible she could have gone further then you think & found herself lost in fields with tall crops maybe you should widen your search area & check ditches etc. Also she could have been picked up try searching the dogs for sale adverts on things like Gumtree .
Sharon
Hi, I had but don't really know one locally someone very kindly sent me a link to fill in but the lady seemed to be over Ipswich way, I'm really worried she's stuck down a rabbit hole or stuck somewhere she's never strayed in 8 and a half years, there's a possibility that she's been taken from the front of the house she sometimes sat next to the house but we live in a fairly quiet village down a dead end side road with only about 8 houses past us, there's been no sightings at all, thank you hollieberry xx
Hollieberry
Hi Sharon have you thought of getting a tracker ?
Sharon
Lottie is sadly still missing, the latest thing we've done is hire a camera to check rabbit holes and a lady came with a terrier yesterday who was a star and had a very keen nose but we only found rabbits but have definitely eliminated some holes

Hi Hollieberry, Lottie went missing from home she was last seen in a shed looking for mice etc something she regularly enjoyed doing, but had never strayed, I've been worried she's chased a rabbit there's so many about, and possibly gone down a hole I have done lots of things to check this and have hired a drainage camera and am making my way round them.
