Any news on Nelson? I'm sorry to see you were so close to getting him back. The police should do something, especially when you know where he was. A quick intervention would have got him back asap. What would the police do if a group of burly men had been with you, and forced him to hand over the dog, politely, if you know what I mean;) ? With all the dog theft's in Sheffield, lately, we might have to form a "Dog re-unification Unit". Count me in! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoke to owner last night, she has still recieved no help from police, no shock there then but she is more than willing to help with news papers and see what we can do. We did well to keep tears away when talking but we are both determined. She has also taken details of Maddie and is going to keep a look out for her as well. Thank you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owners say that the dog has now been moved to another address and are waiting on more information so they can snatch the dog back!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I echo what everyone has said. The police should at least escort you to the premises or they should go to investigate as the dog is stolen property. I would insist on speaking to a higher officer at the staion. What a nightmare for you fingers crossed.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Can't the RSPCA do anything? They should at least be able to advise the owners what to do in this situation. Good luckLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I agree with Fido, you have got to insist on help from the Police, take down the officers details and report it to someone higher up! Go to the dogpapers and ask them to ring the police station and find out why they are not doing anything!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

How appalling! Owner should contact her MP or make a police complaint! or better still go to the press with the story.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have just spoken to the owner and she informed me that she does know where the dog is and her freind went round to the house to confront the man and he hit her in the neck and scratched her. When they reported this to the police they said she shouldn't have gone to the house in the first place and to stay away in future. How Helpful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
